@@MH-qb9ev What do you mean how? TCP/IP protocol. Internet gateway?? Layer 3 of the OSI model my friend, remote controlling your rig, your friends rig. Whatever!! All kinds of use case for this. LOL!!

WOW! Would sure would like to have the funds to upgrade from my K3. I am convinced that the K4 is the very best radio available, even before the news of this K4 to K4 functionality.
For 40 years i have used my Ten Tec Corsair. I couldn't find a modern radio that had QSK as nice. I broke down and bought a K4D. This is absolutely the finest radio I have ever used. The receiver pulls in signals the Corsair can't hear. The QSK is better than the Corsair. Save your pennies and get one!
The remote stuff is awesome.
I remote a 7300 & 9700 full time as my main station. Makes my coax runs super short (40ft) and keeps a lot of clutter off my desk. I could see guys putting K4s at the base of a tower and using the K4-Zero inside over a network connection.
I looked up the price . . . I think I'll hold off. 😅

It's a shame that it's such a bad radio for when you have inband on contest stations. Everything else is ok.
Good content, but why do hosts think they must always control the conversation and talk over their guests

So my man is saying he isn't charging us for a firmware update that requires us to open a PORT to add IP connectivity (DMR, etc).... Out of touch much?
