Paul, your terraced dynamics are so perfectly articulated here - it just sounds like the orchestra. A fine virtuoso performance - and that harmonic pedal has some nice effects in some of these movements.
The Harmonic Pedal adds so much to the regular piano version. Can you play Vivaldi's Sonatas for Harpsichord using the Harmonic Pedal> If so, will you post a few on RUclips? Your presentations on RUclips are fantastic. Thank you!
Zac Fuller Here's a few pieces to look up Bach: Goldberg Variations, Violin Concerto in E major, Air on G string, Well Tempered Clavier Vivaldi: Four Seasons, Concerto for 2 Cellos in g minor Chopin: Polonaise in A major, Nocturne in E flat, Fantasie-Impromptu in C# minor Mozart: Piano Concerto no 20 3rd Movement, Symphony no. 40 Allegro, Marriage of Figaro overture And there's much more than that
IMSLP should have the sheet music of a piano transcription for The Four Seasons, even if the 4 concertos are as separate pieces of sheet music for free
help me find a song, i cant say lyrics cuz its a piano song, but it goes like da na na na na da na na na, da na na na na, da na na na na da na na na da na na na. its famous and its stuck in my head. i hope you guys can understand what i mean. i searched vivaldi beethoven and mozart im missing something theres so much music. and this isnt a joke im trying to find this song.
You just listened to it Vivaldi: WInter Largo. It's the second movement of Winter. 35:51 on this video. Hope I interpreted you da na nas correctly. If it's any consolation. At age 6, I had measles and was stuck in bed. Some classical music came on the radio that made me happy and sad at the same time. I later learned classical guitar and piano. Still not found that piece. I'm 66 this year. But, your plight could be much worse : ruclips.net/video/99Y1xyGSuuo/видео.html
Artistic interpretation is a preference. This is not the same as artistic license, which translates to, "I made parts up as I went" so much as, "these dynamics and tempos felt right to me today." As this is one of the most famous, or at least most recognizable pieces by Vivaldi, you may have a particular performance you've heard earlier that has become "right" to you, so while you're opinion is just that, you're not wrong either. I'm partial a particular strings performance and I've played an arrangement for orchestra that never felt quite right to me for the same reasons. The conductor had envisioned it played with certain cues and that's how we played it. His choice. We adjust. This is a beautiful arrangement regardless, but that's my opinion. Ain't music fun?
