As of March 2023, I had never heard of Apocalyptica. Then my daughter and I went to Zurich to see her favorite band Epica, and Apocalyptica was also playing. Instantly I LOVED your music, but "Nothing Else Matters" really pushed you to one of my favorite bands! I recorded the live performance and just before the audience sings the chorus, you can hear me whisper, "Hey...I know this song!". Since then I've bought every CD, including both the CD AND gorgeous vinyl of the re-release of 7th Symphony! You're the best!
We played several apocaliptica covers at our wedding reception in 1999. All the older guest said it was pretty music , all of our age group were like , that's bad ass !
I still remember the lovely older woman sitting next to me when they first came to Montreal, saying she wanted this played at her funeral. I know what she meant even back then. Such a great version.
