  • While watching the third Echoes of Wisdom trailer I made a few interesting observations and came up with two theories/ideas about Zelda's new Swordfighter Form. Enjoy!

That makes a lot of sense. with Zelda eventually learning how to use the sword by herself once she completes the rifts. Because if it doesn’t do that then zelda wouldn’t be able replenish the ability when all the rifts are complete.

Good point! I hadn’t thought of it that way! 😅

Yeah, I'm betting that the endgame rift is the only one that is always open, meaning one of two things:
      1) You can only recharge your sword from that rift in the endgame, making it a tedious chore to recharge
      or
      2) The sword become an unlimited use item once all the other rifts are closed so as to not lock the player out of swordfighter form in the endgame.
One thing I did notice, in the first trailer Link's Sword looks fine, but when Zelda grabs it, there is a chunk of one of the handles missing, meaning it's entirely possible there's a side quest to repair the sword to make it an infinite use item, or at least greatly extend it's timer.

We could probably combine these two theories. The sword probably is, or contains a device that records how its wielder uses it and transfers that information to the next person that it goes to. The image of Link might be a hologram to indicate whose information is being used, and as Zelda further masters the sword, Link’s image fades as the sword releases the learning wheels. Link doesn't have a hologram over him because he already mastered the sword.
In other words, it’s a training device that teaches others how to wield a sword using data obtained from previous users.

Huh, I didn't think the two theories could possibly be connected!

Not Shiekah Tech, it's literally magic, there's no real "Tech" outside of the wild era timeline, which is now, thanks to Nintendo, completely separate from every other timeline.

Huh I guess so. But I’m still on the fence on what I think of the new timeline. Some say BotW/ToTk are not connected to the main timeline but others say it’s just so far in the future. I thought maybe it looked like they are on their own timeline, but at the same time, there are Easter eggs and connections and mentions of other games on the main timeline in BotW. Idk the timeline is hard to understand and work with. 😅🤷‍♀️

@@ZeldianGamer-231 I mean it's pretty simple, the Wild Era is it's own timeline hence how the Zora and Rito can coexist. It has references to the other games solely to sell the game on nostalgia for those characters/races/locations, not because they have any deeper lore.
It's a disappointing truth sure, but they are completely disconnected from every other timeline.

@@megaman37456 I see what you mean. But that doesn’t stop the possibility of the Sheikah from other timelines to invent and create their technology, even in the fallen hero timeline.
(LOL watch it have nothing to do with the Sheikah and here I was coming up with crazy theories and defending something that was completely wrong.)
