Yknow for some reason, call it a mandela effect, but i genuinely remember going inside his house once at some point on the wii. I remember it to be very cramped inside. And a bit dark, and if i remember correctly you can only enter his house at one single point in the games progress and honestly i dont remember enough to recall, but i swear it was rather early in the game. Sometime before or after the 1st dungeon but not when you have access to hyrule field. Maybe before/after you went in the initial twilight encounter
If someone has an answer here itd be greatly appreciated as i no longer have my wii and LoZ TP to go in and trial and error it myself

The "time constraints" which caused the house to be locked was revealed in an interview with one of the dev team. It seems that just as they were wrapping up on finishing the game the designers were contacted by Miyamoto. Now, first let me say that I have the upmost respect for Miyamoto-San however I am also very familiar with the frequent times that Zelda games have had "troubled" development and now it seems I know why. So, this young lady from the art team said that Miyamoto felt that the opening to the game was too rushed and wouldn't give new players time to get familiar with the controls. So what happened is that originally Link was to leave his hometown after 1 day but Miyamoto told them to extend it to 3 days. So the team had to scramble to create another 2 days worth of content for this area - causing this house's interior to be unfinished. Apparently, Miyamoto's sudden change of creative direction isn't uncommon and explains a lot with the series when you think about it.

also the bomb mask is super OP because if you shield and then use it, you take absolutely no damage, so its useful for that hidden log cave where you can get milk making it so you dont have to pay for bombs, who did you watch that made that vide0?

Great video as always! I wanted to comment something about the Hero of Time’s love interest: Malon.
And everything points to her being the chosen one. Given the Hero of Twilight’s rancher life and how Kokiri Forest, Lost Woods and Sacred Meadow came to be Ordon Village, Faron Woods and Sacred Grove, I believe the Hero of Time married Malon and made that happen.
He died in battle in the Lost Woods against Dark Link and the Master Sword was moved there by the Goddesses in his honor.
Link and Malon’s children kept the ranching legacy going until the events of Twilight Princess. I love how it pans out.
Fun Fact: You can hear Malon’s singing voice at night in Hyrule Fields’ theme (the one played at 7:30 in this video) Oh and also, Fanadi’s name is composed of FArore, NAyru and DIn. And I read that the magic meter was turned into the lantern oil meter :)

Can we really be sure that the Hidden Village is the Kakariko Village from Ocarina of Time? I've always though that TP Kakiriko was the same as the OOT one, and the Hidden Village is an even older Kakariko that was kept secret from even before OOT. This is because:
    1. OOT Kakariko is located right at the start of the Death Mountain Trail, and TP Kakariko matches this location perfectly. The Hidden Village doesn't.
    2. OOT Kakariko had a Graveyard to the East, and TP Kakariko does too. The Hidden Village has no graveyard at all.
    3. TP Kakariko is built around the Sanctuary with the Sky Cannon in the basement, and the Sky Cannon dates from when Hyrule had contact with the Oocca civilization in the sky, which was around the time the Temple of Time was built (evidenced by the Dominion Rod being in the Temple in TP), and therefore this dates from BEFORE the events OOT.
    4. OOT Kakariko was opened up to Hylians by Impa just before OOT, which would easily explain the fact that TP Kakariko is Hylian settlement. There's no evidence that there was ever a Hylian presence in the Hidden Village, and this would run somewhat counter to it's location being kept secret in TP
I think that "New" Kakariko was built before OOT, and this became the Kakariko village we see in that game, and that "Old" Kakariko (the Hidden Village) is even older than that

agree, the hidden village location doesn't make sense, where is the death mountain? where is the castle town and temple of time?
the oot kakariko must be somwhere near the lost woods, those woods consumed almost all the hyrule we knew in oot
i really like this map and i hope that one day we get to see the early days of tp hyrule, as the kingdom moves and stablishes north of the old hyrule

Great video. TP has so much to offer, it's really a shame that so many people act like it's the worst 3D Zelda. It's my personal favorite. There are tons of completely optional character interactions that people miss out on in Hyrule Square and in Ordon Village. The world isn't empty either, collecting bugs, looking for caves, blowing up rocks, poe souls, etc. Currently playing TP HD on Hero Mode and I'm just absolutely loving it. @random comment No, Zant.exe was renamed Twilitruler.exe, but that was Midna's designation. However, Ganonhead.png had a hidden script attached to it that caused it to open and immediately close itself upon being added to the Twilight Subterminal, and during the brief time the image file was open the script disabled the 'are you sure you want to do this' popup for deleting or replacing important files. So Twilitruler.exe was replaced with the renamed Zant.exe, and then the popup was enabled again.

This happens to be (imo) more evidence that the Malon x Link shippers are correct in their theory about OOT Link's future wife. The Hero's Shade watches over his descendant by helping TP Link with sword mastery, and Malon's voice calms Hyrule Field, where she used to live, and is now watching TP Link's journey.

Actually you can get inside Fado's house. But only in the HD version. As you know they gave the green chu jelly a description, even though it says it's a pointless item or whatever. You need to get four bottles of it then bring it to Fado after herding all the goats into the barn within fifteen seconds. He will then enter a dialogue about how he's curious of all the travels you've been having, and will ask if you have found anything interesting from Hyrule in your journey. The game will prompt you to display each of your bottles one at a time, although he will give you the same dialoge for every item apart from the green chu jelly. (Hoo bud, they sure got some strange stuff out there in Hyrule dont they?)
Anyway, if you show him all bottles of green chu jelly, he will take alarm, and ask if you'd been attacked the same way he was. Two dialogue options will be prompted (though both basically answer him with "No"), and Fado then decides to let you in on a secret. He tells you that one evening while working in the ranch, he was securing a goat in the barn before accidentally slipping into a hole in the ground (you can find this dig spot inside the barn), and got attacked by rats and became stuck inside something green and sticky. After escaping he found the key to his door was taken, and will say he has been locked out of his house since. He asks if somehow, you could try to find that spot and get him his key back, and if he could have your green chu jelly because it turns out that it is something like a stamina elixir and it's good for work. Link will nod and the screen will fade to black. Note that all your bottles will be empty after this interaction.
After that, head to the dig spot and fight the chu, and as its puddle dissipates, turn into wolf link and dig. A key will pop out of the ground and you will be prompted to return it to Fado. After doing so he will return to his house at night and you will be able to enter (only while he is thete though).
When you enter, Fado will be there running all over his house cleaning up webs and leaves from all the time he'd been locked out, the elixir working its effect. Use the gale boomerang to clean up the mess immediately and he will stop to thank you again (Wow bud, you've come a long way from just a ranch hand. You're a lifesaver now!)
This is where things get interesting. Fado will ask you if you could help him with one last trouble before he turns in for the night. He leads you up some stairs and to a wall of thickly grown rotted roots, telling you to take a look. After looking through a crack in the roots you will see there is another room hidden behind it, and Fado explains he has been wanting to get into it for a while but has never found the time. Figuring that you can solve this issue, he asks if there's some way you could get through. Use the Ball and chain to tear through the roots and the room will be revealed. A small cutscene then plays with Link and Fado entering an old room (which by the camera angle and old furniture placement, you can discern as OOT links old house) and Fado says something along the lines of using it as a brewing room to make more green potion. Link will look around briefly before heading back downstairs and then Fados house will be locked for the night.
It will seem this is only an Easter egg, but after this interaction, Fado leaves his house unlocked. Come back the next day while he is at the ranch and visit the room again. Midna will prompt you to call her, and will say something about the room smelling dusty and old, and that you have better things to do than poke around in the old place.
However, if you turn into wolf link, a sniff command will appear, bringing you to your senses mode. A cutscenes plays, showing the heroes tunic you've been wearing throughout the game, except it shows Link from OOT's face. Midna will then speak to you again, realizing too that the place smells the same as the tunic. She prompts a pretty funny idea, (Think of poking around a bit? Maybe your ancestor left you something! Hehehe!), and go to the north end of the bed (south end on hero mode), and push the bed. You will then find the Fairy Ocarina and a letter detailing all the songs from OOt. You can use it for similar things, such as warping to respective areas in the over world, making it rain and change day to night. Sarias song however does not allow you to speak to her of course.
There is more though. Beyond being an Easter egg, this allows an entire second quest hidden in the game. Beat Ganondorf after having the fairy Ocarina and you will find the story continuing, starting you off in deep Faron Woods where the golden cucco is as the other members of Telmas group talking with each other of the ruins they were shown investigating during the credits. Shad mentions the ocarina of time from the legendary heroes adventures, and that if they could find it, they might be able to open the doorway to discover what was behind it. They speak about the potential time travel abilities the temple held as well, which link is shown to take interest to.
You will then resume the game with everything left as seemingly normal, although you won't be able to turn into a wolf and you will no longer have the master sword as Midna is gone. (You can now also visit Princess Zelda, Zoras and Gorons are doing better, monsters are completely gone from the world, except in caves, the cave of ordeals, Hyrule field at night, the desert and snowpeak. Some other stuff).
Go to the sacred Grove and find the door that leads back in time. A text box will show up saying you probably shouldn't enter without the Master Sword, although Skull Kid will reappear once you turn around, having noticed that you have an ocarina a lot like one his old friend used to have. He tells you about termina and how he ended up becoming friends with oot link, and that he promised to stay in the woods between worlds in case he ever had to help someone like him again (sort of like a punishment for all the trouble he caused). Skull kid then goes on to request that you play him Sarias Song with the ocarina, so that he could hear it like he once did a long time ago, and afterwards, details that if you played that song long ago, you could speak with her through the music.
After that he leaves, and you are free to enter the door of time. Enter and you will find everything pretty much the same, although you cannot enter the temple behind the furthest window any more and the master sword won't be there either. Play Sarias Song and you will get a response from her, hearing her distress call that she's trapped in the forest temple. Although you can't get there by leaving through the door of time, you can use the minuet of forest to warp to the sacred forest meadow. (You can also warp to the other locations with songs though you cannot move very far. Most of the scenery is whited out the same way as it is in the temple of times windows)
Once at the sacred forest meadow, a cutscene of oot link and sheik playing the minuet of forest will be observed as you stand back in the sacred forest meadow.
You will be left to yourself as oot link goes into the temple and will discover you are fully in the past. Go back to the temple of time and return to the present and Zelda will call to meet you, having sensed your absence in time due to the connection the triforce has between them. She warns you not to mess with time figuring it was done in attempts to find a past version of the mirror of twilight to use to reunite with Midna. You will then be left to either continue going around doing some new sidequests in present Hyrule or can return to the past and warp to the spirit temple and use the spinner to bring up the mirror of twilight from the past, which will allow you to warp back into the twilight realm and travel through several new dungeons and twilight realm exclusive biomes as you make your way back to Midna!

Twilight Princess came out right around my 16th birthday and it was flying off the shelves. My mom wanted to get it for me as a birthday present, but she checked several different stores and it was sold out EVERYWHERE! I didn't wind up getting it until a good time later cause it was never in stock. I got it for the Gamecube when I finally did get it, which is surperior to the Wii in my opinion anyway.

I was hoping for some more information on Fado's house as I just started to replay it recently and I wondered if we'd ever get access, but it's nice to get some closure on it and know it's just locked because it's incomplete.
I'll just pretend the ranch is Fado's home for now :'D
Thanks for the video! I appreciate that you take the time to give us something genuinely on the obscure side instead of repeating things tons of other youtubers have done. Despite being a bit of a Zelda lore/secrets freak, I wasn't aware of most of these things, at least not to the extent you described here-so I got to learn a few new things while watching your video! While I knew the the Hidden Village was meant to be related to Kakariko in some way, I never knew that sign literally read "Welcome to Old Kakariko". It definitely makes me more inclined to revisit the place and see what similarities I can find between OOT's Kakariko and here.

The locked house in Ordon Village reminds me of the locked house in Kakariko Village in OoT during the Child-era. During the day the son plays at the graveyard, and the dad is guarding the passage to Death Mountain; and during the night the son sleeps, so you shouldn't disturb him.

I’ve always wanted to get inside the house on the thumbnail I spent my childhood trying so hard too 😅

I knew about all of these but I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE LOCKED HOUSE. These are good ones, though! If I hadn't played it several times, I wouldn't have noticed them.

Massive Twilight Princess fan here, I've played this gave over 30 times now and knew just about all of these but I wasn't aware that Fanadi was a Sheikah. I never once noticed the eye of truth on her forehead once. Completely slipped past me

Another small secret in the hidden village, there are a bunch of cats that chase after link for attention, but if you pick up one of the cats and place it in water, it will start running away from him instead

I don't think that's OoT kakariko. in oot the village was at the base of death mountain. however it was also mentioned in oot that the shieka left that village so that other hylians would have a place to live. So a more likely explanation is that old kakariko is just 1 of the many places the shieka have lived, as they tend to move around. Actually that might even be where they went AFTER they left kakariko in oot

Yeah there is a few different possibilities tbh, I'm just on the side of it is the Kakariko :)
