so how many charging cycles do the batteries have? how many miles/kms can the bike ride before you need to buy a completely new battery? and what is the cost?
Waiting for a 100% to charge at a charging station is misleading and unecessary. The thing is while we may pump up our bikes to full there is no need to do such a thing on an electric bike. You would only charge enough to get home or to your destination. No need to wait until full charge. When the ride is done you can top it off to whatever percentage you prefer (although charging lithium ion batteries to 100% will shorten their lifespan significantly). To go back to my point if you have 30 miles or so to get home why would you spend an hour and 45 minutes to charge it to 100%. A normal person would charge for the next 30 miles/kwh equalent and finish the rest of the charging at home. Easy and fast
Agree however our review talks about the bike as a commuter and assumes you’d either have the bike on charge overnight or at work, or both. This video just illustrates what you’d be facing if you wanted to ride the bike for anything other than commuting where you want maximum range, which is where you would require a higher percentage of charge. Thanks for watching don’t forget to subscribe 🙏
@ALCLCF Fair point, we have it on good authority that Zero are releasing a new battery range and power pack option that reduces the charge time to 25 mins. We think this will make the bike much more desirable - though we've yet to see how this will affect the price. Thanks for watching - dont forget to hit subscribe :)
Cool bike and review I would just miss the engine sound and the smell of petrol agree with comments always wear proper gear I look like a power ranger in mine (the fat one} there from the 90s , Night time racing does sound like a good idea
Hi @tunster we agree though we think its more to improve the acceptance of electronic bikes. In the future Zero and Energina have far more inspirational designs coming - exciting times!
@@letsreviewit8925 I tried it, and I must say the feeling was good. No vibrations and always in the right gear, made me better focused on the road/ride. I loved it! And the famous clutchlever went into the history faster than the bike it self!
To expensive. It cost $10,000 more than a 115hp Yamaha XSR900 with a range of 150 miles on $10 of gas. For $20,000 this bike better do other things than commute to work. No way the fuel cost is 4x operation cost ($40,000).
@@letsreviewit8925 9,200 Euros still buys a lot of Fuel before this bike make up that extra cost for being electric. A Yamaha 900 gets 15 Km/L, that is lots of riding before this bike starts to matter that it does not use fuel.
John Smith don’t forget maintenance costs. I have a Yamaha FZ-07, and the moment I rode the SR/F & Enérgica Eva Ribelle, I *knew* I was adding another motorcycle to the garage. My Eva is being built as I type this. Can’t wait! ⚡️💨
@@evolv.e Maintenance would not be to different between Gas and electric , just oil change and air filter. E-Bike will still wear tires and Brake pads the same. I,m sure that expensive battery needs some special attention during winter storage,
I like the fact that you are in full leathers!! Always wear full gear- never have skin exposed, i was taught
Michael Kastner never leave home without protection 😂😂
That same rule also goes for any respectable S&M dungeon
Love the music. Good review. I rode the SR/F and I actually prefer my SR. Much simpler, more range, only a tad slower and about 5 grand cheaper.
Beautiful bike 🏍
Beautiful - Price tag aswell :P
Great review, liked and thanks as always...🏴
Ian Hamilton thanks for watching Ian 😬
Nice to see one of the T-shirts I did for EEMC here too dude! ;)
Matt Rowe woah you get about haha

The cost breakdown is in the review and the detail is all on their website www.zeromotorcycles.com/model/zero-srf thanks for watching
Vinyl wraps?
Yes they looked quite cool all part of the English Electric Motor Co's corporate identity, certainly stands out on the road.
Can you ride this on cbt?

Wish they made futuristic looking bikes
Brits are still shaping the future.

Zero's are made in USA
908. Almost there!
Chargeing sucks... Realy you should test a Energica. Charges up in 15 - 20 min
Lex Summer we’re testing one very soon 🤘
Lex 💯 agree!
Like the Zero SR/F, but the slow charging was a no go for me. DC fast charging is the main thing it’s missing.
They missed an opportunity to design a really futuristic looking bike.

Not everyone wants a bike that looks like it will turn into a transformer robot.
Thats why retos sell so good.
Srf stands for „streetfighter“
L G of course!!! 😉 thanks for the info
I thought it was stands for SuRFer 🤦🏻♂️
Hmm... I’ll have to check these out!

Dakota's Dad it’s a really fun machine to ride and in the long term it will definitely save money
Funny we call the engine in a motorcycle engine and not motor...so this electric must be the real thing! ...or?
John Neomaster it certainly goes like the real thing and for someone serious about electrification it’s definitely a viable alternative

Why would you commute by car over 100 miles more like. By bike it’s easy by car it’s hell.
Adnan E not sure where you’re from but here it’s cold and wet most of the year sadly
Lets Review It London and surrey UK, I will ride in any weather besides snow.
I used to commute by car but it is hell and 16 miles was taking me 2 hours
This bike needs a train horn so you can scare the utter crap outtah people.

The Energica looks like garbage compared to the Zero.
