Omega is probably the funniest Sonic character to me. I love watching the background of certain shots and you can see him just sliding around shooting robots, clearly having the time of his life!
MAN OH MAN! What an episode, seeing the gun commander again, oh man Flynn’s dialogue never disappoints. Having Maria explored as a character, and telling shadow he has a good heart, and tells him he will find more people to trust, which why Team Dark, and maybe sonic is important to Shadow. Plus, Omega never change, man, because he was having the time of his life even if he has one line. Seeing this episode, i think sega right now regrets setting up the mandates that made Team Dark wasn’t a team and Shadow being a jerk. Overall, that’s what I think will happen at the end of his campaign, he finds a new appreciation of those around him, and becomes a little more open. Great Episode, seeing you at the finish line.
I love how these episodes are giving Maria more character the only times we really saw her is when shes about to get killed and in a few more moments in Sonic X it just shows you how when she was killed it DESTROYED Shadow Also I love whenever shadow is upset or doubting himself Marias Instinct is to IMMEDIATELY go in for a hug... like Amy that adds more reasons as to why shadow was surprised when Amy hugged him in SA2 it reminded him of Maria (also when she convinced him to save the world) Omega is amazing in this one of my favorite things about this episode is when Shadow and Rouge are talking you can see sliding in the back just destroying robots you can tell he's having a great time doing it of course still being a threat and being serious I kinda love Omega being the more goofy one of the group but still of course being in character I saw some people ask why rouge wanted to go do Sonic's party and maybe its just to help Shadow socialize but maybe its this. I know this is only in the IDW comic but Sonic and Rouge have a very sibling like dynamic they go back and forth in a playful kind of way idk if theyll do that in the games but I would love it
Honestly, Sega and Sonic Team bringing Ian Flynn in and allowing more freedom to write Shadow is the best thing ever, and he always nailed bringing the emotions out of these characters.
I know it most likely won’t ever happen but while Ian Flynn is amazing and IMO one of the best things to ever happen to this franchise, he is shackled by the fact that he has to abide by the scenario that Sonic Team wants for the game. I really hope that one day he doesn’t just write the script but is able to create the entire concept of a game. Imagine Ian Flynn’s full potential unleashed
I want that for him too, but that’ll take years of approvals, and I want his concept to be out of this world. Omg, I can imagine him with an evil grin getting to unleash his work with no restrictions. But imagine a Ian Flynn/Evan Stanley script for a sonic game, I would be in love.
