Working in an Urgent Care we see a lot of people who think they're having a heart attack when they've drank too many 5 hr energy drinks, anxiety, sweating & even chest pain so just can't recommend them. When I moved just 30 miles away I rented a 19 foot U-Haul just for plants (inside & outside plants) & made countless trips with my pickup. I cannot even imagine moving cross country. Your new property is so beautiful & serene, can't wait to see what you guys do with it.
Oh my gosh... that does not surprise me. I definitely felt like my heart was beating a bit faster than normal too. I definitely learned my lesson and will not be doing that again 😩 wow, 19 ft is incredible! I bet your plants were so happy to be given such great treatment :)

Ohmygoodness. Many parts of this made me so emotional. Halfway in (around 16 mins) I felt the heartache. I completely empathize with all the emotions of having to leave your hometown. I was born and raised in a farm town in Cali. My husband was stationed in NC…where we have lived ever since!The move across country was such an emotional move. Since then, NC is where we decided to stay and raise our children. It has definitely been a bitter sweet journey. It took time and patience for all the changes to grown on us and finally become home away from home. 20:30 mins-ish into it, I’m dying. “No we’re supposed to do it at the same time like a shot! You twerp!”🤣🤣🤣 “tap it and then go!” I 💩 you not, your husband’s face after you said that is literally my husband. Why do they not get “tap and then shoot”?! West coasters: Reese’s east coasters reeeseees 🤷🏻♀️ Humidity..I’ll never get used to summers on this side of the coast. I will forever miss dry heat.

I moved from NYC to Chicago (14 hours in a uhaul truck!) this summer with my plants. I did the cardboard box approach you showed and surprisingly everything survived. And because I upgraded my natural light situation in the new apartment most of them actually look better now!
Congrats! Love the property and how much great light you have! I've lived in Texas for half of my life now but I grew up in Missouri. I prefer Texas but I sure do love how green Missouri is and the rolling hills, etc.

Great video !! A few months ago I drove a cross the country (Canada) for 6 days with my personal belongings and about 8 plants and during the 2nd last stop (Saskatchewan) it was negative 2 degrees and I didn’t think of moving some of the plants into the hotel overnight - the next day there was frost on my far and when I opened the door I saw my monstera die in front of me -- brown spots developed across the leaves right in front of me. When I reached the destination some leaves were dripping brown liquid. Needless to say the two monsteras died :( but the others survived, like the spider plant, Hoya, cactus, and cast iron Milky Way. My gollum jade shed about 25% of the foliage due to the climate change.

Congratulations on your move.....I just move into my new home almost a month ago. I moved from my home where I had nearly 125 plants into a temporary residence while our home was being built for 7 months lost a TON of plants do to a very low light situation. Now I’m trying to replace plants ( mainly hoyas) that didn’t make it and the inflation cost of them is RIDICULOUS! Glad to see yours made it through the struggle. 🌱
Loved this video! We are toying with the idea of moving next year and I’ve been racking my brain about what I’d do with 300+ plants. I think I’ll have to purge about half and fit the rest into a little Uhaul like you did but it’ll be at least a 5 day drive for us 🤭 I’ll have to get my hands on some of those shipping crates somehow! Congratulations on your move.....I just move into my new home almost a month ago. I moved from my home where I had nearly 125 plants into a temporary residence while our home was being built for 7 months lost a TON of plants do to a very low light situation. Now I’m trying to replace plants ( mainly hoyas) that didn’t make it and the inflation cost of them is RIDICULOUS! Glad to see yours made it through the struggle. 🌱
Ughh the inflation is partially why I’m like NO ONE DIE because I don’t want to have to replace them 😭

Loved this video! We are toying with the idea of moving next year and I’ve been racking my brain about what I’d do with 300+ plants. I think I’ll have to purge about half and fit the rest into a little Uhaul like you did but it’ll be at least a 5 day drive for us 🤭 I’ll have to get my hands on some of those shipping crates somehow! Super helpful video I’m sure I’ll reference it in the future again! Thanks and have a blast in the Midwest! You’ll have a new definition of what’s “cold” soon 😉😂💚
