I worked at a county fair lemonade stand, and we squeezed the lemons right there. Half a lemon isn't enough for lemonade though, so the "water" was actually just lemonade mix.
Our FFA booth at the county fair sold more lemonade than any other booth. When we muddled the lemons, we threw 1/4 of an orange in with the lemons. It adds so much distinct flavor to each glass!

After working with citrus fruits, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and cold water (heat and moisture can make the reaction worse), then minimize Sun exposure on the affected area for the next two days. If you have to go out, apply sunscreen. And it _sounds_ worse than it generally _is._ It's typically no worse than a bad sunburn... because now that I think about it, it basically _is_ just a bad sunburn, just one that set in quicker than usual due to the chemicals in citrus fruits. Redness, burning, itching, peeling, blisters. Chances are, you'll be fine.

Emmy: gets a chemical burn on her hands from the reaction of citrus oil and uv light
Me: new fear unlocked ☠️
I kept reading that as feature and I was so confused lol
After working with citrus fruits, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and cold water (heat and moisture can make the reaction worse), then minimize Sun exposure on the affected area for the next two days. If you have to go out, apply sunscreen.
And it _sounds_ worse than it generally _is._ It's typically no worse than a bad sunburn... because now that I think about it, it basically _is_ just a bad sunburn, just one that set in quicker than usual due to the chemicals in citrus fruits. Redness, burning, itching, peeling, blisters. Chances are, you'll be fine.
Haha read abkut celery, just handling it can cause a irretation but consuming can also cause sun entolerance

I hope you turn vintage gadgets into a long running series
Emmy, I love how chatty and "real time" this video was!! It really felt like we were in your kitchen hanging out with you for the day while you made some cool stuff. I really prefer this style of video over the ones where you meet us at the end of the project and narrate back what you've already done. I miss your real time reactions and musings during those videos. THIS one felt like the older videos that I fell in love with when I first discovered your channel. 💜 Thanks for inspiring us every week!!
🤣🤣 the very end...I almost died laughing 😅🤣
My grammy would place her stove on low and place an orange rind on it and it fills the house with the beautiful smell of oranges, perfect for winter! Just don't start a fire! 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I got that phytophotodermatitis too when I was a kid! All over my skin I had odd streaks and my Mom blamed it from the pools in Mexico, she thought I contracted some odd skin condition/fungus. But it was all due to her Cuba libres! 😅🤣
Emmy were you a cheerleader once upon a time 😂 those happy clappy moves remind me of a cheerleader
Ketchup, mustard, and onion are my favourites, too! I also recommend a little greek salad dressing or something with a good amount of vinegar! Really brings out the meaty flavour!
4:47. That laugh though. Sounds like a fairy laughing. 😄
Thank you Emmy!🙏🍋🌭🥤🍿🍦🍟🥨
I knew I saw Chef John do this! Love Food Wishes! And love this video, and you Emmy! ❤️

Hi Emmy! Sending love from Hong Kong! The Dragon Boat Festival's just around the corner. Maybe you'd like to try making 碱水粽(Gan Sui Joong) or Alkaline Rice Dumplings in celebration of it. Would love to see it!
Now I know what was missing from my Lemonade, the peel and sugar marinade and then the Boil. Good method Emmy thanks for the share of this recipe.
