    I just bought a 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra . 🇺🇸
One owner convertible with 23,000 miles on it. It’s sat in a garage and was driven less than 1000 miles a year.
The seats the carpet the gaskets around the doors and the door jams looks brand new .
Paid 13-K for the car .
It looks drives and smells like a brand new car.
This is my first Ford Mustang.
I have owned Camaro’s my entire life and still have a 2010 Camaro RS -SS
Long live the internal combustion engine.

These can handle pretty good with just a few minor mods. The right springs and dampers along with upper and lower control arms and wider tires all around on lightweight wheels and sticky rubber and they can actually be pretty good handling cars they just aren't that great when stock. As for the brakes they aren't great by today's standards but compared to what the gt had at the time its head and shoulders above that. I used to own a 97 cobra myself. One of the most important mods especially if na still is steep gears and when I say steep I mean 430 or even 456. If you're supercharged 410. These cars love gear and it totally transforms the car and will literally take a half second or more off in the quarter mile compared to stock 3.27 gears. FBO with a ported short runner intake and a set of nice aftermarket cams and you can comfortably be sitting at 350+ to the rear wheels and with the aggressive gearing I spoke of before and some weight reduction they can actually be pretty respectable even by today's standards considering it's an all motor 4.6 liter from the mid 90s. Mine was black on black too. One thing I love about my current 07 gt500 is it has that mod 4 valve burble from the exhaust anyone who'd owned or been around these cars know what I'm talking about!!! Love the sound

@@justinkrizenesky I daily it to work everyday and errands. If you dont have kids then it works fine as a daily, only reason why I say that is its not what you'd call a safe car at all. The biggest two downsides is city fuel economy (I have a heavy foot) plus I put a 550 hp clutch in mine which is alittle tiring in traffic. The second and biggest issue as a daily is if you are in an area that rains. Mustangs dont like rain basically.. The cobras have limited slip rear ends which is nice but doesnt help vs the regular mustangs in rain. I have to drive very slow and careful around turns through intersections if its wet out. If you need any tips once you decide whether or not to buy one, id be happy to help.

I mean it's not hard to make 1000hp with and early 4v. Forged stroker and a good amount of boost. Stock cams and a ported stock top end can get it done. Just like anything, comes down to how much you want to spend.

Got some good races in. I've been keeping up with my brother. He mostly won the races but I kept up with him majority. I won like 3 prob 4 races tho. But now I can't race him any time soon because he's getting the Supercharger from his boss. His boss is a mechanic in Tennessee. He use to have a supercharged 03 mustang. But when he was going to do the body work. He seen that there was mold on it for being locked up. So he hurried and got the engine out. And now my brothers getting it as soon as they have that talk. But I'm really satisfied with my baby. As soon as I get the money. I'ma get wit my brother and we gone get her supercharged up. And by then I'll be good ash on that manual 😂

The SN95 is a weird one for me- I have a 97 Cobra that’s been in my family since 01. It’s weird to me the night and day difference of enthusiasm people have for the New Edge vs SN95 when, to me, they don’t look that dissimilar. There are things I prefer on one or the other (I don’t think you can beat those New Edge taillights!) but I think overall they both look sweet. I always tell people if they want to get a Cobra for cheap then a 94-95 is the way to go. I think purchase price for those and the 96-98 is similar but I think modding/maintaining a 5.0 is much cheaper than a 4.6, especially the 96-98 which doesn’t have anywhere close to the aftermarket support that the 5.0 does. I can only assume the B-headed engine is less popular than the later 4.6 because of the split intake port design coupled with the problems of PCV contamination going into the secondary ports as well as gumming up the IMRC plates.
