i thought the same but is it 100 % clear in lore that every SM from every chapter uses same material to mark same amount of service time? Meaning is gold always 100 years? Titus has four golden studs in SMII so he should be around 400yo right now which IMHO is way to much, how old is Marneus Calgar in current lore? Highly doubt Titus is around the same age as chapter master.
We know Titus was 150 when he made captain. He had two gold studs in the first game. Studs are a bit of a complicated thing in the lore as lots of chapters seem to not use them, but it's generally assumed that gold is 100, silver is 50. Bronze has very rarely been seen, I think it only has a single lore mention. Nobody knows Calgars age but he's been CM for *at least* 300 years, so he's pretty up there in age, likely around 700-800. Maybe 600 if you really want to low ball it.
Battlesector was good too... i want more campaigns like the bloodangel one in it though... As for SM2 dunno yet the headwriter is a woke weirdo that has to put the message in everything.

Originally, THQ had an entire trilogy planned where we would follow Capt. Titus trying to redeem himself. But then, they went out of business.... I'm not sure how much of this story they incorporated in this here. One thing that they definitely carried over, was that Titus spend time with the Black Templars & the Inquisition, because we see him having his chain sword, chained to his wrist like the Black Templar Sword Brothers do.
This is my number 1 hyped game as well! Can't wait to make myself as a Dark Angel: Deathwing member in multiplayer! Hopefully I'll be able to be in terminator armor in like a killstreak maybe? I'll settle as playing as a Sternguard veteran though. Repent! For tomorrow you die!
The coop and multiplayer stuff looks awesome, seems like they put in a whole lot of effort. And looks like that Dreadnought mode is back. I better be able to customize my Space Marine to look like my boys, the Raven Guard!!!

They should open the single player similar to Battlefield 1 where you play as several guards men getting recked left right and centre and then hear over the radio that space marines are incoming and switch over as they drop. Would make the space marines feel proper over powered
Sounds good for a more Guard based story, not one for Space Marine. BF1 focused on the struggles of the average soldier. Space Marines are FAR from average.

OG Space Marine wasn't a bad game, even the MP was fun, but it was slightly flawed and the Dreadnought DLC while fun divided the playerbase in a terrible way. With some love and support I'm sure SM2's Eternal War mode can be a Eternal Timesink! For THE DARK GODS!

Like the excitement! From all three of the boys, no less. It's rare. I tried the first Space Marine. It was okay. Never been a WH 40K superfan, but this one looks great and threads that needle between Doom and Gears mechanically, but has shitloads more lore and depth overall. I really hope this game delivers for the big WH 40K fans. You guys need this right now. Fingers crossed Prime vid doesn't keep messing with Cavil and let's him and the team do right by the lore.

Like the excitement! From all three of the boys, no less. It's rare. I tried the first Space Marine. It was okay. Never been a WH 40K superfan, but this one looks great and threads that needle between Doom and Gears mechanically, but has shitloads more lore and depth overall. I really hope this game delivers for the big WH 40K fans. You guys need this right now. Fingers crossed Prime vid doesn't keep messing with Cavil and let's him and the team do right by the lore.
