I bought this set of 4 lights from Amazon for about $65, they were easy to use and quick to install, I wish they were a little brighter buy they are battery powered not hard wired. So I probably just needed to add a couple more for a little more light and I may do that in the future. All in all they are not bad.

Do these work for steel or aluminum pools?
The lights have a plate that you can glue to the side of the pool. That's what I had to do. So as long as the glue will stick, it should work.
How long does the battery last?
About a week, running a few hours each night
did you have a problem with your robot going over the plates when it's cleaning your pool, I don't want my linter to rip

They are, but I haven't been using them in the pool much. Mainly my daughter uses them in a fort she built in our playroom. 😂
Is your pool a aluminum liner pool
I don't think so, I think it's steel because the magnets in the lights did stick slightly but not well
If they stop working, can they be easily removed from the pool?
Not sure about the mounting plate
