Then I picked up Yuumi and I slowly started to learn what all 150+ champions in the game did in a meaningful way by following the action instead of seeing 2 seconds of flashy colors and dying, and I got to learn a little bit about how my friends' roles and playstyles worked by following them around and asking questions. @@trinityreaper009 nope, saw that vid too back in the day. It was a difficulty tier list of all the champs by role. Don’t be delusional even your teammates hate you because next game you will be a leech on the enemy team. They are just benefiting from your no brain champ at that moment.
Really? Because over half of it was a raid shadow legends advertisement. It’s painful how many content creators accept the offer. Has anyone played the game? It’s not even a game.
Cons: ADC’S are crybaby’s who don’t know how to lane with one, enemy jungler will champ the shit out of you, she’s a very weak early Laner. And any cc practically makes her unplayable and she isn’t good until 2-3 items in
Thebdifference is, Cassio has to press E like 100 times per second, needs to dodge skill shots and also has to hit Q before the E spam... Yuumi presses E and goes AFK until the Abilitiy is back up

Yuumi: the champion that can be played one handed that somehow thinks they're carrying the game and makes sure to type at you all game because she can since she has a free hand
@@Zerhapy Clarification: As a highly skilled individual player, the ability to simultaneously buff your own champ with minimal effort whilst also removing a variable (A less skilled support player) from your lane whilst also smurfing in lower elos in a climbing challenge all stacks together in a way that a highly skilled ADC player may find advantageous rather than disadvantageous. So, the example of the Draven player demonstrates that if you are highly skilled and you don't potentially have someone less skilled shackled to you while not losing too much of the value of having a second player, then it is viable to climb in a traditionally duo lane solo. In other words, the example demonstrated that the player in question is very skilled, but doesn't actually tell much about yuumi except for the fact that she has an incredibly lax skill floor. After rereading my original post it does sound like I was trying to make some sort of insult toward you being a bad support player or something, that was unintentional and a poor choice of words on my part.
@@Zerhapy Quite so- Yuumi's skill floor is laughably low, and I think if anything her biggest issue is that she can get more out of less effort than any other champion. I don't think her base kit thesis is unhealthy or bad though- although everyone loves to make fun of it Riot did make some reasonable points in their video about Yuumi's skill ceiling. The issue is less that there is no skill available in playing her, it's that there's no skill required in playing her- although she allows for high skill expression you only get 10% more out of the champ as opposed to the 90% you get by merely existing. Even Garen requires more effort to get a sizable chunk of use out of him. Personally I've always thought she needs better incentives for hopping off, since what she does while hopped off and how much time she spends off is usually what decides the (as of now largely meaningless) skill difference right now. Give her a courage mechanic like Kled, maybe- she generates courage while playing actively apart and depletes it while attached, perhaps? Give her that and a bit more survivability and then yuumi players would have to actually think about when to hop on and off for maximum value whilst also being forced to interact in lane, which also solves the primary issues when fighting against her. Like you said, no other support in the game has access to 90% of their champ's possible usefulness with nothing but a confounded pedal

@@WatchSchoolDays one game too little the learn everything wrong with this no-longer-champion. they practically removed her from the game a few months ago due to community toxicity when she was barely holding onto a 50% winrate. it took me several games before i realized just how broken she was after the changes and i stopped playing because when the toxicity gets to even the devs you know a game isn't healthy, for anyone.
Exactly my thoughts. Doesnt matter if she gets absolutly obliterated in lane if at least one carry has a brain and she afks on his head with a bot frequently pressing E.
Only if her heal was flat and not based on missing heath. If I'm not wrong. Taric is the only support that have flat heals. So he is the only fair heal support in this game.
@@0JasonSunleaf0 yuumi’ shell doesn’t scale with missing health, it scales with AP. I think it’s actually a pretty fair heal, given the fact that it takes 15% of her mana ADDED TO the flat cost per level, and only heals a single target... unlike tarics which ??? are you saying tarics heal is the least OP out of all healing supps??? because I-- I don’t know man, I-- I mean... I.... bro
@@louisekoenig3465 YES. Sure taric heal it have a small aoe that can be shared with the link target and anyone near, but you normally built taric tank, yes heal scale with his ap and %bonus health. Ok i checked that yummi heal is not missing health scale fine, but the issue still stands that she is untargetable and her ap scale give more value than taric's ap/health scale. Also to properly get good heals from taric, you need to max q first to get more stacks and you need to proc your passive more often to get the value. So yeah taric is not necessarily less op, because it can be strong if you play in a decent team with everyone. With yuumi you need only one carry. A smart yuumi will forget anyone and stick only to the carry and no one else. People think one targeted heals are weak, which in reality give to an yasuo constant heals and it is gg not even anti heals can counter that. So short yes Taric is the least op healer in the entire game that's why you don't see him often and sadly he is more stronger than you want to believe
Also if you build a lot of mana regen that 15% doesn't matter. Now I think that soraka have missing health based, but she has to give 10% of her health so this is balance an ability that is strong, but with a consequens.
I fecking love Yuumi, and here are my numeruous reasons why: 1. I love her as an enemy because we only have 1 target to hit on botlane. We might have to be a bit more careful but if we can kill that one target the cat is dead as well mostly. 2. The little games I played as Yuumi, when it was high octane stuff, I loved jumping around in a teamfight around 10-20 times to make sure everyone is healed. 3. Hooking or otherwise pulling a Yuumi mid transfer is not only satisfying but also incredibly hilarious. 4. Hitting it feels good. 5. Nothing tops my friends Yuumi jungle. I call it mini-Rengar (and it surprisingly can work as its basicly a support on all lanes) 6. Aurelion Sol + Yuumi bot is not the weirdest combo I've been a part of but it was highly entertaining. 7. Having an enemy Yuumi means not having to deal with, the following bullshitery on bot: Lux, Morgana, Brand, Blitz, Pyke, Naut, Swain, Lulu, Xerath, Cho'gath, Galio, Leona, Nami, etc. 8. Dodging a Yuumi (bar her ult) is not hard and she can be easily punished if she tries to autoattack you (which she won't mostly). 9. Yuumi's heal consumes 15% of her max mana meaning she can only heal ~6 times before going down the drain. After that she either goes home or stays and have way less healing potential meaning she is a nice blue floating piece of furniture most of the time. 10. Having a good Yuumi on your team is good. 11. Having a bad Yuumi on the enemy's team is good. 12. Having a good Yuumi on the enemy's team still is not that big of a threat with a little teamplay. Idunno I think the hate for her is too big. I mean sure her being untargetable is whatever but at least Riot tries new things from time to time, some stick more with people, some doesn't, but honestly I have around 0 problem with her playstyle. Also she is cutely psychopathic for a fuzzy cat. Another thing is I think people whine too much over her. She is not demanding to play in the slightest but Yuumi can impact the game more than the other supports. Having a good Yuumi is very scary because the enemy will be usually fully healed, good ult placements can destroy your team, etc. But having a bad Yuumi is basically 4v5. Even with a very bad support there is the chance that they hit some cc or heal, or at leat can be used as a living ward or a target dummy. With Yuumi you are literally very restricted in your own movement so deciding when to do what while where you are spatially is not up to you can be quite tricky for some players. (At least the level which I come from, which admittedly is not high, some people I think have problem using the mouse)
6:18 Yuumi is less of a parasite and more of a symbiote. She's like those little birds that sit in crocodiles' mouths, feeding of what's stuck between the bigger animal's teeth. The bird gets a meal, and the croc has lower chances of oral infection. Yuumi feeds off of the success of her hyper-carry, and they have a lower chance of death in any particular fight.
I mostly play Yuumi because it is the only support that shows your adc "your mistakes are YOUR mistakes not mine". As a person who plays mostly supp it is a nice thing to do from time to time. And yes - making someone feel indestructible just because you are with them is a great feeling C:
The joy of queueing with a top laner as Yuumi is just delightful. You’re just waiting for late game so that you can attach to your friend and turn them into a true monster. Aatrox is an amazing pairing for her
Man what do u mean ur mistakes are not mine? Bot lane is a 2v2 lane if u make it for ur adc 1v2 in early game how is it their fault? U litterally forcing them to play safe and the enemy can use their skillshots only on ur adc because u are untargetable
When it comes to supporting a lot of it comes down to figuring out who to support and muting the 0/9 vayne that wants to 2v4 with ya constantly and going mid to the 6/0 yas to get him more fed.
i have to say that Yuumi changed my way to play league, i've never enjoyed more League than when i'm playing Yuumi with a buddy, it's super fun and rewarding because i always get underestimated and i always surprise my enemies and my teammates because let's be serious, Yuumi always get underestimated
i play with friends that carry me, so yuumi was a perfect match. my biggest flex was that time alone dived and one-shoted a caitlyn, yes. with yuumi, alone.
I always felt like people didn't grasp what yuumi is supposed to bring to Lol. I am of the idea that yuumi is a wonderfully designed champ, the thing is, she is not designed to do what most Champions do. Whenever game devs do something they ALWAYS keep in mind player employment of the product, that being said yuumi is a wierd case study. As you said in your video, yuumi players don't have to be mechanically skilled, they stick to the carry, they give enjoyment not to themselves but to the carry they stick themselves onto. All of these factors make me think that yuumi is not designed for Lol players but for Lol players significant others that want to partake into their lover's hobby. Think about it, yuumi is literally built to stick to someone. Her kit takes away many of the 'core gaming skills' that any player grasps like aiming or positioning. I am not sure Riot has every confirmed this outright but I always saw yuumi as the perfect 'girlfriend champion'. It is not a coincidence that Riot has implied that botlane is the lane where lovers go to play together (as evidence i can point out to rakan/xayah, lucian/senna). Now, I'm not here to talk about the cultural implications of the girlfriend champ being the 'easy braindead support'. Girls can definitely kick ass if they so desire. TL;DR: yuumi isn't made for Lol players, she is made for people who want to share Lol's players past time without necessarily dedicating themselves to Lol or gaming in general.
Holy shit. I never even thought about it that way but her design makes so much more sense. Especially in unranked where you'll get those toxic couples and the girl is almost always playing Yuumi.
How to play Yuumi 4 in easy steps: 1-Pick Yuumi 2-Detect your ADC 3-Press W and build a relationship with them 4-Congrats, now even if you die, the ADC already fell in love with you and will never be toxic with you once -Sincerely, your local Yuumi main
I actually designed a Yuumi-like tank years ago. It was a literal parasite from the void who attached to an ally and was a tank, giving the target defensive buffs and his abilities revolved around applying debuffs that allies could trigger into CC. He could also attach to enemies in order to use his ultimate to mind control them. However, he would take damage that his allies take as a counterbalance mechanic.
My friend likes her because she's very good at helping her team, and they love that they're always useful to the team and is basically the funnel champ
"Lemme just press this one button aaaaaaaaand gone." "What?" "All your kill preasure and positive trading, gone." "But how?!" "It's how it is around these parts kid."
I was so sad when Yuumu came out. I like playing the safe healer type a lot and when reading her kit, I was super psyched because I pictured her as this extremely agile healer meant to bounce between the frontline, keeping them alive and CCing the enemy team. Instead all we got was "AFK on your ADC or jungler and insta gib people".
I love yuumi. I started playing last May, she was the champion that let me learn basics of league and feel like I was still helpful to my team instead of stressing bcuz im perma dying. She can be so impactful and its fun to bully enemy laners with the threat of bops! Buff the kitty!

Yuumi is Abathur from Heroes of the Storm, but a lot less complex and a lot more prone to breaking the game. So you can add "unoriginal" to her list of sins. For those who are curious, Abathur does basically the same thing as Yuumi, but with a lot less stat buffs. And a few additional abilities which actually require him to use his brain.
Still remember a friend that went from low silver to plat by duoing with a twitch main as yuumi and still managing to cry over the fact we called him elo boosted You are a breathing item, stop pretending you're a champ
If soraka and Janna are disgusting mouth breathers than are 2 ranks above what their actual skill entails because of their champion, yuumi takes that shit to 11.
Technically, Yuumi is not a parasite, but a symbiote. To call Yuumi a parasite suggests that she gives nothing and takes something, in this case protection, but she provides passive adaptive force plus a heal and speed boost, a root, and a slow. Yuumi is like an oxpecker, she feeds off her laners to protect herself, and in return she gives them the aforementioned benefits, ergo, she is a symbiote.
The only thing that bothers me about Yuumi is that, coming from another MOBA (Heroes of the Storm), I've seen what Yuumi could be in the form of Abathur. Abathur in HotS is not as annoying as Yuumi and has more skill expression because not only is he global (meaning he can steroid anyone in the map at any time), but he's not completely untargettable because his physical body still exists while symbioting another person; and if the player is not aware of where the body is and gets ganked, it really sucks, as Abathur by himself can do nothing: he's melee, deals next to no damage and has one of the lowest HP pools in the game. You would think, then, what prevents Abathur from straight up AFKing in fountain and never showing up on the map, but that's the cool part. His body can not only soak experience, but it also periodically summons minions with a time limit to aid in pushing the lane, which also gives away your position. So playing as and against Abathur becomes a game of cat and mouse for the HotS equivalent of assassins and artillery mages, and that removes the annoying element because there is clear counterplay. You're mad one of the enemy team's carries is an immortal god with shields on top of shields and additional damage? Before an objective comes up, go hunt the Abathur's body and see if you can make the teamfight an official 4v5! So, in short, Abathur completely negates everything that makes Yuumi hated: 1. He teaches new players macro and map awareness. 2. He has a very high skill ceiling. 3. He's very fun to play with the game of chase. 4. He has very clear counterplay. Not to mention, he can backdoor! This is not singing HotS' praises, btw. Game is pretty dead and I moved to League for a reason.
I don't see any appeal in this champion. I love cats. But yuumi is so damn brain-dead and breaks the game. Every time I play sup (sup main btw) and the enemy picks yuumi, the game is already lost, no matter how well I do. She just picks a fed enemy and makes them unkillable. How often did we stomp the enemy bot but the enemy fiora was fed and 1 Vs 9?! I forgot to count.

Yuumi: the champion that can be played one handed that somehow thinks they're carrying the game and makes sure to type at you all game because she can since she has a free hand
@@Zerhapy Sounds like he's a pretty good Draven player then, especially if there's no support doing random things to potentially throw his lane

I.... bro
Heal* oops
I fecking love Yuumi, and here are my numeruous reasons why:
I call it mini-Rengar (and it surprisingly can work as its basicly a support on all lanes)
Seriously... Thanks, for this comment... It's so good to see not a salty comment against Yuumi and see some good argument we rarely see!
Thanks

6:18 Yuumi is less of a parasite and more of a symbiote. She's like those little birds that sit in crocodiles' mouths, feeding of what's stuck between the bigger animal's teeth. That litlle shit tilt me so hard in urf yuumi is a parasite mate why tf people play this champ because they very lazzy
i play with friends that carry me, so yuumi was a perfect match. my biggest flex was that time alone dived and one-shoted a caitlyn, yes. with yuumi, alone.
This is honestly the best way anyone could've put this
@@criticalf0ll0w16 thanks, i remember on her release i seemed to be the only one who thought of this and it frustrated me thsy people couldnt see it.

I personally believe HOTS did Yuumi way better. I don't feel frustration when he's on the enemy team.
And he takes much more skill to learn and master

its the same with ganks, yuumi just smacks e once and the person she's on has enough cocaine shoved up their butt to run down half a lane with ease
Kha'zix trying his absolute hardest to gank botlane and do more than 2 damage
800 gp and your healing in that team fight.... Goooo (only half gone)
Also can we talk about the fact that am attached yuumi removes kha'zix isolation? That's just bs
She's not really a parasite, her relationship is symbiotic like Kai'Sa's with her void suit and not parasitic.

So, in short, Abathur completely negates everything that makes Yuumi hated:
I'll take a 100 Yumis over Seraphine's existence
Amen
I wouldn't
I used to be a Yuumi main.
And I liked this video.
Because 99% of what he said is simply true.
Don't deny it.
@@Fingolfin7455 yes as a Swain main(new btw sorry) i have to even time my passive to land my combo and this damn cat just hits a button the whole game and wins. respect to yummi main btw.
@@Fingolfin7455 I love this champ, not because she's fun to play or something, but because I hate MOBA games, I fucking suck at them, but Yuumi makes me easy to play It with my friend, who "loves" the game. Yuumi is made not for serious players but for people who want to play and have fun with their friends but that don't know how to play MOBA. If you play Yuumi it's just because you have a friend to play with, at least for me
@@ike9108 though to be honest swain isn't the most skillfull champion if you know what I mean
Oh so now we are totally pretending seraphine was never created xDDDDDDD
Fun fact, Yuumi is voiced by the same actor who voices Morgana in Persona 5.
very catto
Agree with you, but have you read the full definition of a parasite? She latches on and buffs her 'host'. a parasite harms its host.
i think its very harmful having a yuumi instead any other thing while you take the four man dive under your own tower whatever if u played safe all the 20 minutes of the game
All i got from this is that yummi gives you the same work efectivity that an artcollege tittle gives
I think that yuumi should be easier to punish early in Laning phase, because at the moment she's just too easy to scale on, but maybe buff her utility late game
She has no presence in lane, to make up for the fact if any of her carries are fed the two will 2v8 the game
I really miss the can we talk about this videos start with the "Can we talk about this?" line and all the ways you had varied it. So sad to see its been removed from CWTAT scripts.
Lets not forget the grandmaster that played draven and at the same time he played yuumi... with his feet.
