This series actually made me stop playing, because i realised that all the champs, the newer ones, with bulshit abilities are not worth playing against, and that I can't really enjoy it when every new hero has some annoying, confusing or overpowered thing.

honestly, im okay with confusing champs, but my main complaints with bel’veth is 100% the fact she doesnt feel at all like a queen of spawns, we got a lot of mostly melee champs recently, i really hoped she would be closer to azir or oriana. her commanding her void-ling is such a small part of her kit, it almost feels like an after thought. would love to see this kit on a different champ, because i really hoped that she would be a new commanding champ, instead of a master yi with a less controllable yoric vibe
I can see that, but at the same time I find so unique and refreshing when they don't go to the easy/uncreative route. Like, she is a Queen, then everyone expects her to automatically be a mage, or be out of combat, something majestic, commanding her servants, just like a queen. And then we got this monster, that don't use much magic or anything like that, It isen't majestic nor empowered, It's just a monster fighting with it's own body right on face the battlefield

Im just a little sad that what could’ve been the most impressive character in game ended up being a boxing manta ray on a scooter, instead of an all commanding empress (i dont mind the manta ray part, thats actually super fucking lit B) )
To be fair, it does maintain the fact that she is lying about everything she is. She keeps this facade of royalty and commanding power, when in factuality she really is just another void monster (albeit a really strong one).

Ok but really important question: When Caitlyn headshots Bel'Veth, where is she even aiming ? could be interesting a secret mecanic easter egg like she gets reduced dmg from headshots if she is in her human form.
I’ve been playing Bel since her release and she has been my new favorite jungler since Fiddle rework. But holy shit is it annoying to have your own team counter jungle you more than the enemy team does.
yayyy another belveth supremacy enjoyer, yeah this champ is also one i still play and man, it's just impossible to please your laners, with any jungler really, trust me and about the early ganks... a bel player who knows enough about her knows that in some matchups she can duel real hard if you hit her crucial abilities (like w) so the true secret void mommy lifestyle is to spam gank until you solo split the entire enemy base with ur baby fishies (they tend to like to drain enemy hps)
With regards to her ult, it is a massive team fight ult considering it's an aoe garen ult, that and she can take herald and take all 3 towers at 13 minutes top lane thanks to her minions from her ult.
Could we maybe do a "Can we talk about this Illaoi?" She is my favorite champion and no one ever talks about her. I've only seen one Grand Master play her but I really want someone to have fun talking about her.

I'm surprised you didn't metion how weird is her Ult when it comes to casting, because you will spend 1.5 seconds: Inmobile, Targetable and with no Dmg Reduction like her E with a Minimum 100 hp heal at Rank 1 that makes you wonder.. Why even cast it instantly and not just punch the enemy to death? Also you can get killed in that 1.5 even at full health sometimes. Nice Kayle Syndrome

I think the Devs at Riot abandoned their old "Insecty-monstery-alieny-kill-you" vibe and took heavy, *heavy* inspiration from Risk of Rain 2's canon, where the Void has this Deep Ocean theme going to it, that they immediately designed Bel'Veth around because that deep black-purple representation of nothing needed something additional, and the deep ocean is a great allegory for the unknown. She's a giant Stingray. And she summon's anglerfish. The theming is almost ripped one-for-one. Also, they gave her the waifu face so they could still sell skins. Say what you want, Rek'Sai isn't selling skins the same way Kai'Sa is.

The reason no one plays her in high elo is because she has easy counter play. If you run away From her tentacles then she can’t kill you.
