hey just a quick question would you be able to list your spec in the disctription of the video just like cpu gpu so people can estimate what there lod qulity and texture quality should be?
The military teaches look right to left if you want to spot things moving, so if your playing and want to spot someone moving in a treeline scan from the right to the left. Opposite of reading.
@@spoolinsvt6489 yeah it does, idk how to explain it in words but when youre looking from right to left your eyes spot irregular things easier and things that stand out really pop if that makes sense
@@spoolinsvt6489 in real life, it’s a bro science placebo. In videos and video games, it doesn’t matter. If you need someone to tell you it works so that you can start using your brain to recognize irregularities then do what it takes. For those who cant use their brains; the best way is to do multiple quick scans like you’re speed reading a book. Then clap your hands twice and spin in your gamer chair. You’ll always spot them this way.
Thanks for this. I’ve only recently started messing with the nvidea settings after watching one of your previous vids. Game changer. The short description on each setting you’re tweaking is great too, helps a lot!
Some corrections: LoD ( Level of Detail ) Quality will determine how high or low poly the objects are in distance. It won't affect at what range PMC/Objects render in, the lower the settings the lower poly/detail the objects will be in distance. Overall visibility will do what it says, in long range maps like Shoreline, Woods, etc you would ideally want higher visibility since it affects at what range objects render, 1500-2000 should be fine for most cases. Both LoD and Visibility also has significant performance impact and they somewhat work together e.g. Low visibility and high LoD should give about same performance as High Visibility and low LoD.
I'm looking at building my 1st pc specifically to play this game (yes I hate myself). But this was very helpful for me to understand what parts I'm going to need to get the best settings I'll be wanting. Thank you
For lack of color in tarkov especially if you use HDR, make sure High-Quality Color is enabled then go to postfx tab and select boost as your grading set it to 100. You can mess with the rest of the sliders yourself. I run this top to bottom: 100, 100, -100, 100, 100, 100. Change these if you ever do night raids theres a couple that make nvg so clear
Glad to see you making these videos, because when I first started this game, I never thought to change my monitor settings. The game was pitch black in dark areas and I didn’t understand how anybody could play like that. Took me forever to just turn up the gamma lmao.
yes me too I felt just recently like i barley saw two pmc's before they shot me I stood still both times to take a double take one was a rat in a bush cust ruaf extract the other was cresting a wooded and bushy hill on shorline.
For AMD users - go to custom colour in radeon settings to adjust contrast/brightness/saturation.. then open "Display Colour Calibration" from the start menu, when it is open pin it to the taskbar, then when in game alt tab and open the Display Colour Calibration app and press next a few times till you see gamma and increase it using the slider, then DONT close the Display Colour Calibration app, just minimise it and there you go! you can keep it on the gamma setting (minimized of course) and when done playing tarkov you can lower the gamma to default (reset button on app) then you don't have blown out gamma when using pc as well.. a pc xD (i copied my response to another person on this comment thread)
A recommendation following the color blind segment (5:08), instead of turning Tritanopia up, I would recommend turning your colorfulness up. It makes the greens more greener, but keeps blue things blue instead of turning them purple.. Tritanopia also makes your gun look more purple, while colorfulness makes it look more blue. I am also not going into the Nvidia settings because I don't like what it does outside for Tarkov. If you do change you're Nvidia settings what I say might not apply.
Something quite important if you like using lasers, due to the way TAA works, it makes the laser very hard to see while moving. Using no AA with 0 sharpening will keep the noisiness down while having a clear visible laser. I wouldn't recommend this on resolutions below 1440p as not having any anti aliasing looks quite bad on lower resolutions.
11700k , 64gb ram, rtx 4070 ti It doesnt matter if I put high or low, in streets, I hace the same FPS all games… gpu and cpu in high are working at 43% and 45%… this game is really really optimized by a monkey :( I dont know what else I can adjust to have more fps on streets. 1200hours in this game, and no improvement. Tarkov players explaining why you need to go into the settings on your PC and Tarkov to make the game not look fucking terrible. Tarkov players explaining how realistic the game is when everyone jacks the brightness up on Night raids instead of using NODs.
All the best players do this, and unfortunately if you don’t use tactical advantages like this… another player will… and they’ll likely kill you. Unless you want to keep dying to other people doing this, you might as well join them until BSG fix lighting so you can’t do this, like Rust has. Whilst you might not be mentioning me when you said this, I also hate the whole realism tarkov conversation, it’s a video game, screw realism just make it a good game!

I think I'm missing something here. First something turned on, then turned off, it's hard to take what you say seriously, but it looked interesting.
can you explain why you would use full screen over borderless if you have dual monitors. I seriously doubt that is the better option when on dual. if its for single absolutely. But when on dual monitor, having full screen actually doubles the work your PC has to do anytime you alt tab. so you would be stuck not alt tabbing at all.
