How is no one proud of the fact that the States *all agree* on something!?
And it isn't arson, for once!
Hating the British government is the most American pastime we have.
And it ain't on California for once
The founding of our country is the most important part of our history. We have had a nuetral standing opinion on the british monarchy for awhile. I am more surprised that people are astounded that many americans don't shed tears over the death of the queen
I dont think cali likes arson
@@theadministrator4765 my mom liked the queen because of her corgis. That's the most positive thing I've heard apart from she's been there long enough to be a tradition, and tradition for tradition's sake will always have *some* supporters
"I can't hear you over the cheers of the Irish..."
LOL. Savage. 🤣
this Englishman chucked a little at that
Real, as well, very cool
The funny thing is the Queen Elizabeth is the very first monarch to ever try to repair relationships with Ireland since the conquest of said country…
What’s the whipped cream joke
Cheers of many of the Scots as well. More that them, if we’re being honest.
*Canadian chuckle*
Honestly, as a British, I'd rather have Dolly Parton's face on money than Charles.
Same tbh
Good call.
Would love that as well.
As on a Pole I must ask: What is wrong with Charles? I though that Andrew and Harry are the black sheep of family :D
For me as British I liked the Queen but the the rest don't really like I am a republican though not a royalist
Yeah, my reaction to the Queen's death was a) Well, she lived a long life and b) Huh, I guess that ends the jokes about the Queen being immortal.
you see there can only be one, 1st the immortal Betty White, now the immortal Queen, someone started to move and fulfill the prophecy, but the question is who. lol
Well yeah everyone knows you need to destroy the philactory before you kill the litch
Mine was “ding dong, the witch is dead!”
I’m from Massachusetts, fyi. Most of us are resentful Irishmen.
I work in a veterinary hospital. Someone announced that the queen died. I spent the next ten minutes trying to figure out which pregnant cat he meant.
The best part about sailing in a pumpkin boat is, no matter _how_ crazy it may look, nobody can accuse you of being out of your gourd.
...Unless you go overboard, anyway.
Just don't squash your boat,
Sail with seeds of hope,
May your pumpkin ever float,
But share my pumpkin pie? Nope.
.. "over-gourd"?
Boo, hiss. 😂
I'm not gonna lie, when I heard "the queen died", I did, in fact, have the very Tennessean panic that they might have meant our lovely Queen Dolly. 😅
P.S. I would 100% vote for her. 😁
Tbh I don’t think anyone could unite the country like Dolly
Same
The ONLY reason I did NOT have my own Tennessean panic was that my source specified that Queen Elizabeth II died, and wasn't vague about it.
@@dragex6582 Yeah. It's a bit stupid to say that “The queen died” when there are quite a few people with the title queen and then another few artists who're known (or even named) as some variant of Queen.
On the other hand, I guess everyone who knows a little bit about international politics (or whatever it's called) knows that the British Queen was at the age that she was likely to die at any time.
@@RannonSi Right. There's a lot of "Queens" in the world, and although Elizabeth was getting up there in age and was clearly due to depart us at any moment, I can understand the confusion with folks being rather vague.
Not surprised about Wisconsin. I was there for my cousins wedding. I was 21, but did not look it. My cousins were 20 and 19. They served us all without checking a single ID. I wasn't done with my drink when we had to head to the reception. The bartender poured my drink into a to go cup. I said "this is illegal in Florida". The bartender said "it is here too, but we don't care."
Laughs in European being legally at 16 and allowed since like 6
The whipped cream thing was a misunderstanding of a law banning whippets, which are used to charge the whipped cream cans with nitrous oxide. Teens were using them to get high.
Whipped cream cans sold in stores are perfectly fine to buy without ID now.
Thank you, I was really feeling dumb not knowing about this.
Thanks for explaining
Thanks considering I live in NY and have never heard of this.
I may be misunderstanding the word but… isn’t a whippet a breed of dog?
@@icarusbinns3156 Misspelling on their part cause yes a whippet is a dog
Whip-it however is a brand of WHipped cream canister that uses N20
(if you've ever watched a cooking competition like Iron CHef you've probibly seen one, looks like a pitcher with a nozzle and a trigger on it usually used to make foam or well whipped cream)
The whipped cream was good, the SS Berta was better.... And Florida's response to both was *chef's kiss* perfect. Well done as usual, Ben, God save the Table!

American news media: Won't shut up about the Royal family.
Me: *In my best Randy Marsh voice* I'm sorry, I thought this was America, this was America. Huh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America! Isn't this America!
Uh, yeah.
_Checks notes_
We overthrew the monarchy.
Yup.
All news outlets save for OAN are mouthpieces for the government and it has been government policy since Ike to deepthroat the English monarchy as if they were our own
My reaction to the Queen dying was literally the Jeremy Clarkson meme
"Oh no. Anyway"
I'll admit, it's a little sad to see such a nice lady pass but at her age, it's inevitable too, and doesn't affect us Americans (if at least us American citizens...that don't obsess over the royal family). Hence the reaction.
I did not know about SS Berta, and that is hilarious.
I think Wisconsin needs to further enforce some of its age-based laws, or they might as well start lowering them...if it was possible. :P
Wisconsin’s drinking age was 18 back when I was in college. We used to drive over from Duluth and hit the bars
The drinking culture here in Wisconsin is kinda... intense? Yet, we can't seem to be really ok with weed.
Functioning alcoholic? Or Functioning stoner? Never knew or heard of a stoner to go into a "stoned rage", but "drunk/alcoholic rage" regularly geta people hurt and killed.
Yeah. We could use some work here. (I'm working on it! Honest!!😂)
The queen wasn't so nice as people think
@@OatMeaIs She was the ruler of a nation, if she was nice, she would be a failure of a ruler
@@wouterkessel4852 soooo… defending her son for being a child toucher and grooming them on epsteins island by paying the accuser 14 million dollars in tax payer money, not allowing people of colour to work for her until around the 1970’s, appointing Gerald Templer in 1952 as High commissioner in Malaya where he used Agent Orange over forests and executing rebels using Dayaks, lobbying to change a law that would hide the HUGE wealth of the royal family (the law went trough) SO THIS, this is being a good ruler in your eyes… okay good to know
I laughed at my friend from New York about the ban. They're gonna put whipped cream in liquor stores.
Also I dearly wish I was in an Irish pub last Thursday

He does the Midwest accent so well
It's mostly a lack of an accent with minor shifts in syllable twang
They do that all the time in Wisconsin. Wisconsin really wasn't kidding when he said it was a slow day.
In Indiana you can't buy silicone lubricant until you're 21(presumably for similar reasons to whipped cream), so I had to get my mom to buy it for me so I could fix my car's window.
Mastodon bones are pretty common in thr Midwest! My alma mater's mascot was the mastodon, after the skeleton of one was dug up on the grounds. It was displayed in our science building!
Wheaton College??
@@marycyr1668 Nope, but good to know there are others!
I’d say a good chunk of people right now are like “noooo! She was supposed to be immortal!”
Over here in Tumblr, people are laughing about the fact that Sans beat Regin (I don’t know how to spell his name) for the title of Tumblr Sexyman with 420 votes which was 0.1%, causing Sans to win by a bare minimum which works surprisingly well. And then a few minutes later, the Queen died
The Irish are celebrating, Princess Diana is beating up Elizabeth, and Elizabeth may or may not have been reincarnated into Trisha Paytas’s child who was born literally 3 minutes after the Queen died
Sadly the Trisha Paytas thing was only a rumor, she’s still pregnant I think :(

As someone who goes to college in Madison… yeah. Having a bar made of mostly underage drinkers makes perfect sense.
Now I just read a Breitbart article on the Wisconsin bar thing and it had this line
"An underage individual caught in their first offense of possessing alcohol at a licensed premises or bar may receive $376 to $691, according to the City of Madison."
I really hope that wasn't a typo
As a 'Sconnie, I can confirm, nobody waits until they're 21 to drink alcohol.
0:57 `What was that? I couldn't hear you over the cheers of the Irish.`
Oh yeah, if you know your history, what Britain did during the last Irish famine, you'll understand why they're cheering.
Oh the Igbo in Nigeria are cheering too. Fuck not speaking ill of the dead.
I wonder what the Welsh think
@@mr.h1262 too busy drinking
Then there was the whole shitcreek with "The Black and Tans" which if you don't know were a a group formed by the British government full of WW1 Vets to terrorize the Irish into compliance and were essentially a roving group armed thugs and only led to stiffer and more violent Irish resistence. Don't even get me start on the 1970s either.
Ah yes. The Queen… born 75 years after the famine… definitely her fault.
And even if it was on her watch, the government were in charge of how it was handled not the monarch.
Honestly, I’m in that boat of not really caring that much about the Queen, but I do still send sympathy over to the UK for their loss of the monarch.
All I can think about though is how the Megamind joke will need explaining to future generations, and how the Queen had constitutional power to declare war on another country (and the following jokes by The Grand Tour presenters)
And all the r/agedlikemilk memes about the queen out living us all.
@@audreym3908 as well as all the memes about the Queen being like palaptine
Finally another smart American, no joke you lot are hard to come by, also if the Irish doesn't simmer down, expect them not to get any imports, after all we do control all the water, land and airspace around them and there's no law stopping use from turn around anything trying to come into our airspace or waters trying to go to Ireland
For your next table video that involves Massachusetts, could you have Mass wearing a Puerto Rican flag necklace as a reference to the large amount of Puerto Ricans who live in the state? Especially in western Mass where I live
I find your news coverage to be not only more accurate but far more entertaining.
Fun fact: it's actually the whipped cream canisters, which are the little cans of propellent that aerate the cream inside the can to make the whipped cream fluffy, not the actual whipped cream itself that's illegal to buy under 21. Apparently they sell them separately.
Yeah you can buy a tub of un aerated whipped cream but then what's the point
The thing about NY and Whipped cream was something that was blown out of proportion by media. They banned the sale of "Whippets" to under 21, which are pretty much pure nitrous oxide gas.
Also, when I saw Wisconsin pop up, I thought it was going to be about Brett Favre being investigated by the FBI...along with the governor or Mississippi from what I heard.
"I hope you get the day you deserve, Florida." That aged VERY quickly.
I love it every time Nebraska visits.
I moved out for the military, so every time he pops in to talk about a pumpkin boat or debate spicy nugs, it's like a taste of home!
No kidding, a guy today asked me if I'd ever owned a dairy cow, I guess I just exude Nebraska vibes that much somehow!
In other news, the "My Pillow" guy was surrounded by the FBI and had his cell phone seized by the FBI in Mankato, Minnesota in a Hardees drive thru
As someone who lives in Wisconsin, nothing about the Madison story shocks me.
If it's not a slow day, and the cops card 147 people in a Wisconsin bar, they usually find at least 243 people that are underage drinkers.
Personally am not a monarchist but can empathise that her death has left her children and grandchildren mourning her loss.
I love the nuances in your accents! I can't imagine how much worth that takes!
We here in Massachusetts definitely didn't kill the queen 😉🤫
Ben: How can I tell people that I got a cool new tattoo of the Iron Giant?.....
ah yes.... I'll just use Florida...
Awesome choice in tattoo btw
The pumpkin news and the cops at the bar is a daily reminder that reality can sometimes be more out of this world than fiction! :]
So Massachusetts is basically the oldest kid in the family who got up to a bunch of crazy shit way back in the day, but by now is the only responsible one.
Love your talent ! Thank you
Your videos literally bring joy to my day.
My only point of conjecture here, and it is a minor technicality, is No Monarch since (Depending on who you ask), either Elizabeth I or Queen Anne has ruled, they only Reign, the Parliament and Prime Minister Rule
Depending on how technically you want to speak here there hasn’t been an absolute monarchy in England since the 13th century.
As a Brit, I agree that Dolly's face should be on our money, she really is a queen
Freddie Mercury did not die… he was simply called back home. The fae were missing their Queen. And Bowie had to resume his duties as King of the Goblins. They simply were needed back in their respective homes.
Nice one Ben.
One of your better ones yet.
Here in NY, it was the various parties of the Irish and Caribbean that drowned out the condolences. They started on Friday and didn't stop until...I think some are still partying

@@Hollows1997
Having your grandparents or parents oppressed has repercussions to oneself and one's children.
You can sympathize with a person who _chose to spend her life as a living symbol of both the UK of today and the oppressive empire that England once was_
Yes, she was literally groomed for that, but it was also her choice.
She had a human right to walk away.
She never apologized for the wrongs of the prior monarchy, even as she worked daily to **embody that exact tradition.**
Respectfully...
I'm not inclined to hate her as a person, but asking someone to be deferential towards a former oppressor?
Ew.
It won't happen anyway, have fun getting upset about it.
@@grmpEqweer You do realise it was under the reign of the Queen that many colonies were decolonised.
She did have a choice to walk away, but there are two problems with that. 1) She was old enough to remember the crisis surrounding the abdication of her Uncle and would not put the country through that again. 2) She mad a promise to "devote her life, whether it be short or long, to the service of her peoples." HM was a person of her word, she would never abandon that promise.
Which prior monarchy? Her father? Why should she apologise, George VI was a very good monarch who took the task on despite having no preparation for the task.
How was the Queen PERSONALLY oppressive? She wasn't... Even still, I'm British and she was just fine for us.
@@Hollows1997 you do realize the queen had no say in decolonization right? Also the queen is looked at as more of a figure head representing British rule. So yeah they 100% blame her. Also most Americans haven’t cared about the Monarchy since 1776. Although women will watch a Royal Wedding for the spectacle, and Disney princess issues.
"I wish I could have a slow day. Just once."
*MOOD*
Great job Ben!🍷
I swear you are the best source of news.
From Wisconsin here, can confirm.
15,000 Nurses went on strike in Minnesota, this week.
Lmao theres no sound
As a Floridian, I can say that as soon as we got the news that she died, everyone immediately said “finally!” Or “it’s about time!”
Really? Why?
As another Floridian I can confirm, I can also say people were joking about how they had a slim chance of dying right before the queen did considering there was a Tornado happening right before we got the news she died
We shouldn't forget to mention that on September 13, 2001 the Queen herself, personally requested for the Royal band to play Star Spangled Banner in front of Buckingham Palace to honor the innocent people lost on 9/11.
Key word: Personally
The tradition of never playing another nations anthem in front of the Palace has gone on for over 200 years and she personally broke that tradition for us during our darkest days to show solidarity.
She didn't have to, but she did. Because she knew how deep of a scar those attacks left us as Americans and wanted to stand with us to let us know that we're not suffering and mourning alone.
I'm disappointed that we as Americans can't be mature enough to stand with England in their time of mourning when they stood with us 21 years ago. We may be Americans but our bloodline, no matter how revolutionist, will always find it's way to England. Aside for the diversity of our beautiful nation we are one in the same. We speak the same language, we fought nearly the same wars, we've had Empires, we've had nearly the same enemies and friends. Our Northern neighborhood is a Commonwealth of England, we have New YORK, New JERSEY, and New ENGLAND, and yet we can't even stand with England in their time of mourning when they stood with us in our darkest hours.
I get us and England have a bit of an online rivalry but couldn't that be cast aside for two seconds to show England that they're not alone? Need I remind us that the Queen didn't have to play our anthem for us and instead could've given us flowers like the rest of the world, but she didn't, she gave us a powerful heartfelt message without words, but through song, our song, as an American peoples. And here we are, brushing off her death like it doesn't matter.
That really doesn't impress me even the slightest bit
I swear everyone forgets why they were called the WORLD trade centers, plenty of English people died in that attack too as did over 2 dozen other nations workers
Most people here are.
I'm not denying the idea of sympathy whenever relevant, but I am also not going to pretend like this event is going to impact my life.
And as an indigenous American, I find your statement that we can all trace our bloodline back to England both incredibly inaccurate and incredibly unkind. Even if you mean it culturally, rather than racially, or perhaps even more so, because it disregards huge portions of our populace and dehumanizes others.
@@rd6203 English is only the third biggest white group in the US even lmao, just choc it up to "New England"(a disgusting insult of a name to begin with) pompeity
