Charlie is just singing along with the piano music..Its his cue to start his song, which is so adorable.
Avocado tip. I love avocados but usually only eat half at a time. The other half turns black even in the fridge. Now I place the uneaten half in a glass of water and then I. The fridge. Not only stayed green but taste and texture remains as if you just cut it open. Ok to share this tip either way our friends.
That is a great tip! I’m gonna try it. Thank you! Another one I’ve tried is to eat the half of the avocado without the pit- leave the uneaten avocado with pit still attached in the fridge in a ziploc bag. The pit keeps it from turning brown so easy.

Crystal I’m a gardener. I have a large garden, a large yard and a large greenhouse. My summer,May-September, regarding the cleanliness of my home…..”Good Enough!” Even more do post surgery 😂. I have all winter to clean! It’s also very rainy where I am. And very cool. My husband thinks that our summer will reflect our winter. Non winter…non summer.
Quinoa is made similar to rice. How I like to do it is fry your quinoa in olive oil until it’s toasted and has a nutty smell. Follow boiling instructions. I like to do it in chicken stalk with some herbs like Italian or parsley and dried onions. Very easy to do and I think everyone would enjoy it if you spruce it up.

My favorite color is blue, so I was excited to see them! 😁💙 The flowers are gorgeous! So bright and colorful, and real looking! That was a great idea putting them there! They look beautiful, but no upkeep! 😊 I used to buy fake flowers to fill in bare spots where some of my flowers had died. They looked so real, nobody ever guessed they were fake! Especially the ones in the hanging baskets! It kept the real ones looking full. ❤

Charlie cracks me up!! Hearing you talk about how busy you are running your children around to their various activities reminds me of when my children were doing the very same thing. My children are now grown, but now I get to enjoy watching my grandchildren's sporting activities. Those days go by so fast!! I really enjoyed your "week in the life". I have to say I’m ok with whatever you post I just enjoy it:) Charlie was hilarious with his singing:) It always feels good when you go grocery shopping and put it all away and you’ll look at it like yes and a week later it’s like didn’t we just go shopping and off again we go never-ending story:) I had asked you before where you purchased your rocking chairs from and if they are wide and comfortable, I hope maybe you can answer that question for me??? Please be careful & sparing adding soy/edamame to your diet. My aunt developed very bad thyroid issues in her early 30s when she was training for a marathon. Her Dr told her that he felt that adding the edamame & protein that had soy in it to her diet definitely triggered it for her, because she was in amazing health at the time. She had started adding a lot of soy to try to get more protein less than a year before. Soy mimics estrogen. Also, my dad has neuroendocrine tumors (other side of my family). His cancer specialist at John's Hopkins told us all to avoid adding soy based products to our food as well as avoiding freezing/heating plastics, because they both mimic estrogen. Estrogen feeds that kind (and many other kinds) of cancer. There are so many estrogen mimickers already in what we eat & drink, they said to just be cognizant of it.
I think if Charlie hated it, he'd go to another level of the house. 😂 he's singing along! 🎵🎶

Crystal, I remember those days with 4 kids (& a set of twins) running them from activity to activity. One day we had 7 soccer games among the 4 kids & my husband was working. Crazy, but they are all grown with kids of their own now. I really miss those busy days! Have a great summer!

Favorite game as a kid- loved “Sorry.” I wanna live at your house! Such good healthy food going on, and when the kids get crazy, I’ll go watch a movie in your theater room. Lol. Speaking of movies, if you have Netflix, there’s a great dog movie called “Rescued by Ruby.” Awesome, and don’t worry, it has a good ending. I would not want your grocery bill. A tip for avocados- leave them out on counter to ripen and then once they are ripe put them in the fridge to stop the ripening process

lol. All our dogs always howled when we practiced piano. Hard to say if they liked it or hated it…neither of us were concert pianist level. We always enjoyed the dogs “singing”, more than piano lessons.🎹🎧🐶

Summers will probably be busy, not quite as school activities as well. I loved my kiddos activities, son was big in soccer thru middle school and then golf. My daughter was my best helper she was 6 years older than my son and helped when he was doing sports. Love a Charlie singing along with the piano ❤❤❤❤.
