@@NatalijaKica no, and no plans. nothing personal, but I already have SO many subscriptions that I've chosen to scale back a bit. Matter of fact, trying to scale back on social media in general. My lifecycle of paying attention to 'travel vlogs' is short--unless they're distinctively unique and manage to avoid all the usual 'this is my monthly budget' and 'five reasons why you should NOT visit country x' and so forth, well...choosing what to view on YTube is similar to picking a movie off of Netflix or whatever...too much choice such that I just shut down...
All valid points and good advice...starting year 3 in Bangkok but moving to Cha-Am next week. It is a little bit less expensive than Bangkok, but I still can't afford to live like a tourist.
All good advice. I would add one one more caveat. Those indifferent to boozing and smoking weed or preferring a more developed and orderly place would be better off selecting somewhere like Malaysia. We initially liked the idea of Thailand but the lousy infrastructure, wild dogs, fake smiles and "dirty" old men with young women eventually turned us off. Not having to rely upon locals to read signage is a big bonus, too!
yah, much of those conditions apply to most foreigners in new lands. Very much samesame in the Philippines. It's not the country that is the challenge--it's the person who isn't able to adapt.
It's a lonely place? I always found it very easy to find a girlfriend or a very good friendship here. But I am not going out drinking. Maybe bars and clubs are not the best places to find something meaningful I would assume.
@@NatalijaKica Aww, it's way more fun if you guess. 😉 But, since you asked...you actually gave us six things (bonus!): smoking/weed, insurance/driving, money/budget, being alone/loneliness, alcohol/drinking, and being patient. I've never smoked anything, don't plan on driving (and have health insurance), plenty of money, I'm phenomenal at being alone, and very patient (with most things). But, I'm a pro drinker, not an amateur. 😆 On the bright side, I can handle my alcohol, and know when to quit for the night, so I should be fine. Again, thanks for the advice!😊

Thailand is a dangerous place talking about driving, alcohol, smoking, jetski, not respect monarki, not accept corruption and finally ladyboy's. If you stay away from that you will have a marvellous stay 😀
Your tips are spot on but most of the problems are especially bad for the younger visitors to Thailand. Older folks, while not immune to party problems, are less likely to have as many problems with that sort of thing. The financial warnings, language warnings and social isolation warnings you gave are not peculiar to Thailand but affect visiting any country other than your home country on a prolonged basis. I think the best advice for everyone is to do your due diligence, seek out good quality information (like you provide in your videos) from multiple sources and go into your travels with your eyes wide open. Also make sure you have an escape plan. Nothing is sadder than someone that has not prepared well for travel, has spent all their money and find themselves on the street begging for money to get back to their home country. You do not want to be that person.
Thailand is for every single guy in the world who wants to be respected as a man if he’s at least decent looking. I would recommend it for every guy to stay in Phuket especially. Bitter Western women are usually feeling depressed once they arrive there because they see that foreigners are giving they atention to Thai ladies and not to them . I would advised all men not to not even look at western women especially when you in Thailand . Yes she’s right western women feel lonely and every western man feels like he got the treatment that he deserved . So I yes I understand this women why she feels like this and spreading this negativity but it only goes back to her. Cheers enjoy Thailand guys 🎉
