I don’t know about Russian women but Thai are demanding in that they often expect you to support them and their families etc and operate in a different ways. I am more familiar with Philippines which as far as I can see has a lot in common with Thailand. They are non confrontational and prioritise saving face which gives rise to a lot of lying. Totally different culture. I met a girl in Belarus one time and she seems like you describe Russian girls,upfront and confrontational not warm on the surface and for me as a Brit difficult to read. That’s my take anyway for what it’s worth.
