Re: Bowers. No team could have been better for Bowers than the Raiders. LV has a long history of taking mediocre TEs and making them top 5 at the position. Guys like Cook and Miller and Waller (and more) who are top 5 with the Raiders, sign a big contract with a different team and go back to mid tier TEs (This is why the Raiders dont resign these TEs to big contracts, they know they are overvalued based on the system). It doesnt matter who the coach or QB is, it's a system thing with LV, they make TEs shine. He comes into the Raiders as the # 2 target right off the bat, and struggling QBs love their TE outlets, particularly the Raiders, who have top tier TEs year after year, even when their QB is subpar. Bowers is EASILY already a top ten TE in fantasy.
This will only be my first full year of fantasy so idk who those te’s QBs were.. but the raiders only have Minshew and aiden rn… obviously they’ll still be able to make basic plays and they’ll run a lot using multiple te sets. But mayer wasn’t even a top 30 te last year for fantasy and wasn’t he considered the best in his class? I expect this year to be very different for LAV but how different can we really expect it to be you feel me?

Did he say, “J.K. Dobbins is a very healthy player”? By what standard? Very healthy compared to someone with foot-in-mouth disease?
That being said, aside from the “he’s *very healthy*” comment, he’s right. Dobbins has completed rehab and is practicing in training camp, and the reports are great.
There’s always the risk he never regains the level of play he flashed as a rookie, but I don’t care. All of that risk is already baked into his ADP. If I’m drafting Dobbins, I’m doing it with my very last pick. I can always drop him and grab a waiver scrub and lose absolutely nothing. He’s essentially free, and if he pulls a Breece Hall…
Hell, if he just plays all 16 games I’ll be getting at least an RB2 level performance from an ECR of about 170. Dobbins is going anywhere from an ADP of 121 to 221. So in almost all league formats and sizes you can likely take him with your last pick.
Sure, I could spend my last pick on someone safer, like Tyler Allgeier, Kendre Miller, Adam Thielen, Gabe Davis, or Rashod Bateman (going around the same ADP). But I’d rather have Dobbins because his floor, which we’ve seen from him in 2022, is 92/520/2 rushing and 7/42/1 receiving. That was only playing half a season. If he wins the starting spot and plays all 16 games that projects to 184/1040/4 rushing and 14/84/2 receiving. And again, that’s just his floor. Last season James Cook’s line was 237/1122/2 and 44/445/4, and Cook is being drafted as a mid range RB1.
Draft J.K. Dobbins, he’ll be worth the draft capital you spend on him. There, I don’t think I can argue it any better than that.
Dobbins tore is ACL+LCL in 2021 and now is recovering from a torn Achilles. RBs do not come back from that kind of injury. Torn Achilles is a deal breaker, especially for fantasy RBs.
•James Robinson (torn Achilles) was a RB 7 and only had a couple big games before falling off post injury.
• Arian Foster (torn Achilles) was a RB1 and fell off after his injury. 50+ RB post injury.
*I believe the last guy who was decent coming back from an Achilles was M. Leshoure but he was 20+ RB that year. And he was out of the league the following year.
Considering his ADP is 150+ take him if you want, there is zero risk there
Chubb tore his mcl, pcl, and lcl in college and went on to be one of the best workhorse downs in the game.. he’s gotten another injury now so we’ll see how that goes though.. obviously it’s easier to comeback from soemthing if you’re younger
@@deshaunthibault8372Data shows that it's more likely that a player will bounce back from knee ligament tares than achilles. And it's hard for me to believe that Dobbins will comeback from the combination of tares in both parts of his body (Achilles/Knee). But it's mainly the achilles tare that is concerning. I'm sure it's not impossible. Dobbins would have one of the rarest situational comebacks if he makes it inside the top 20.
Great takes. Describing Jayden Daniels as "coupon" Anthony Richardson is hilarious. I got burned on AR in BB last year and I am a little worried he is one of these guys who looks NFL tough but can't take the NFL hits. The NFL is different. Roger Clemmons once said MLB hitters "can put wood on a bullet." NFL defenders are the same way. Being big and fast is great, but these guys can put wood on a bullet. I am not sure either of these kids understands how to protect themselves, but I am taking a few shots on both of them. Can't deny the talent.
Well said. Kadarius Toney was talked up for 3 straight years based on "break the game" talent and we know how that turned out. Honestly would rather take Mark Andrews in that round and pick up Love, Dak, Murray a few rounds later. Daniels better learn how to slide or he is going to get hurt and hurt often.

While you make valid points, the only QB that is a bigger question mark than a guy who only played 4 NFL games is a guy that has played 0. At least with AR we know he can play the position, we just dont know if he can stay healthy. That is considerably more info than we have on Daniels. Lets keep in mind they are both 6'4", but AR weighs in at 244 lbs, Daniels at 210. So if injury and is an issue, it's an issue for both at least.

Can’t draft achane at price. He can’t sustain last years efficiency. There’s Mostert, achanes size/weight, and they drafted an RB! Too volatile & risky!
Mid 3rd round you wouldnt bite? What if the other rbs are just Mixon, Kamara, & James Cook in that range ? Henry, Jacobs just went.

I always turn it off when jk Robbins & D Smith are suggested to be drafted back to back. Instead of the 2 just make sure you get C watson or Keon Coleman & Zeus.
I love how Richardson’s narrative is allllll upside, but Amarius Mims is a boom or bust pick for small sample size. But I do agree Richardson can break fantasy (if he doesn’t break himself first).
Idk about Devonta smith, he's a phenomenal player it has nothing to do with him. Problem is 1. AJ Brown is still the number 1 target (Smith only had 112 targets last year) , 2. I think the eagles will show off their new toy in Saquon a ton giving him that big contract , and 3. Hurts takes so many Tds away with the tush push.

As a Vikes fan, with my biases, I think we are lowballing Hockenson. I get the Bowers point and am excited to see him in a smash mouth offense like the Raiders, but Hock has a shot at being back. It is slim and there are still so many questions, but he was TE 4 last year after missing the last 2 games. He is an easy pick for volume red zone targets. I'm obviously higher on him than most, but all I'm saying is don't count him out yet, @Joey P. 45:10

Disagree with the Achane and Gibbs comparisons. While Achane put up insane numbers as a rookie (in part benefiting from a great offense), eye test shows you why Gibbs was the 12th overall pick in the draft. Achane has breakaway speed but Gibbs has it all. Also would expect Gibbs usage to increase because he was drafted so high
