The easiest way to get solid RB depth is to draft in many different leagues. Taking Gibbs/Taylor at the 1.12/2.01 turn definitely feels like I just nailed the running back shredzone.
Yeah I’m taking Gibbs or JT if near end of round, and then picking a still (or near) elite WR1 in round 2. Alternatively, if I’m getting an early 2-6) draft pick, I’m taking another WR2 in round 2 and then Pacheco in round 3.
Brooks is a fine play if I can get him as my RB4, but no one knows when he will be cleared to start, or how long it will take for his role to outgrow that of Chuba Hubbard’s, or if he will ever assume a lead back role this season. Weeks 12-16 the Panthers face KC, Tampa Bay, at Philly, Dallas, and Arizona. Not a great stretch, maybe you can hope he goes off in the fantasy playoffs against Philly or Arizona. The Panthers will likely not have positive game scripts against KC, Philly, or Dallas. So I’m not reaching for Brooks, he won’t be my RB3 since I need more utility there going hero RB. If I can get him as RB4 though I do like his potential.
I find myself deciding between Kittle and Pitts in almost every mock. I still can’t decide which I prefer. I feel Kittle is a little bit steadier and Pitts has a bit higher upside, but they’re really close for me. I don’t think I can entertain a case for Kittle over McBride though, Dave’s a little out there on that one.
Kittke run blocks when they’re up and gets hurt . Swing for upside with Pitts and he has a wr floor he’s the #2 pass catcher on that team and he’s younger . Kittle will have a few spike weeks but gimme Pitts
@@mikee702 Since 2018 in PPR Kittle finished as TE3, TE2, TE19 (only played 8 games in 2020), TE4, TE3, TE5. By comparison Pitts finishes since he was drafted in 2021: TE6, TE33 (10 games), TE12. So yeah Kittle is more consistent, bro.
@@Meech-ip4tu That’s the whole point. Depending on how the first 6 rounds or so go, I’ll either be looking for a TE with a safer floor or a higher ceiling. There’s nothing you can say that will convince me that Kyle Pitts is a better pick than Kittle in any situation. There’s plenty of downside with Pitts. Sure everyone expects Atlanta to be better with Cousins but just like Rodgers he’s an old QB coming off an ACL injury, and the offense in Atlanta will run through Bijan and probably a decent amount to Allgeier too.
When Dave dropped his "Running Back Shred Zone", i stopped the pod, stood up and applauded. Honestly, great job. This is a term i expect to last years to describe the meh. Joe, keep these kids around. If not, you'll be "Sorry, Joe"
Love Kamara at ADP. The Saints were the ninth best scoring offense last year and it ran through Kamara. Kendre is no threat to touches. Yes he’ll probably continue to be more inefficient this year but the volume and opportunity is elite. Kamara has RB1 upside in round five in full PPR.
Absolutely love the RB Shredzone. I love to get the studs at QB, WR & TE in the first four rounds then go swimming in the Shredzone for the next five rounds.
RB shredzone occurs when big dogs draft from the 12, maximizing on RBs before drafting any other position, thus guaranteeing a Championship berth. RB shredzone! 😐 In case you don’t understand, I can draft from the 12, taking nothing but backs, and I’ll still assemble a build you casuals fantasize about.
lol, I hate when people say Derick Henry is trending downwards. Yes he’s old but he shown no signs of really slowing down 1,167 12 touchdowns last year… now he’s with a better team
@FootballguysFantasy you do understand how bad Tennessee offensive line was, one of the worse in the league. I'm a Baltimore fan and I do understand how Ravens are rebuilding the line, but every yr they pound the ball, if Gus Edwards can get 13 rushing TDs under Monken's playbook means Henry could get even more!
I don’t think Rice can be called a steal even at ADP. As Fredo said, I’m not convinced Rice is a great receiver. He had one of the highest designed play rates in the league last year, his ADOT was abysmal as most of his targets were at or behind the line of scrimmage. The Chiefs have been trying to replace Hill’s downfield explosiveness ever since he left and they drafted Worthy with that in mind. By the time Rice plays he could end up being an afterthought in the offense. Rice continues to have run ins with the law and the Chiefs have to be unhappy with his professionalism. He’s not off my board this year, but unless he somehow falls to an ADP around 110 I won’t be drafting him, I’ll take Christian Watson who I take every chance I get. I’m not loving Jayden Reed, another receiver who nearly led the league in designed targets last season. And Reed’s a huge TD regression candidate. EDIT: Now that it’s becoming more likely there will be no suspension this year I’ve bumped him up to about WR46, somewhere around 100 overall, in the same area as Worthy. I still don’t feel good about it but if he plays all season he’ll have some value.
Weren't the chiefs getting a lot of cover 2 forcing underneath plays? I'd just follow the targets in that sense. They seem to have many 1 dimension guys. Imo rice has a very high ceiling if there's no suspension
When you are the New Orleans Saints and you are inside the 20 yard line, it’s not the red zone anymore, it’s the running back shred zone. Because Alvin Kamara torches defenses.
i traded CMC for Alvin Kamara, LAdd McConkey and Sam Darnold in dynasty superflex. CMC had 450 touches last year including playoffs. Kamara was suspended and looked good. So we got a rested Kamara in a 49ers offense (new OC) and can CMC do it again? I'm a 49ers fan but CMC got abused last year. 9ers better give him a break so he's fresh for the tough games.
Christian watson, in 23 games has had how many games with 4 or less yards, how many games of 40 yards or less? Guys on the field but he doesn't do much with the stats you've represented.
So everyone says don’t take an RB after an ACL tear and every idiot is saying take Jonathon brooks..it’s been 9 months … No the answer is chubba Hubbard . Gurley was healthy and practicing … This dude won’t practice until after week 3/4 of the season 😂 Jake Ferguson can definitely Give you league winning upside with those red zone targets he could Have 15tds 😂😂 could be TE 1 😂 dudes gonna have 30 red zone targets 😂😂 Can’t win your league 🤦♂️
@mikee702 Kittle has recorded at least 1 catch in every healthy game he has played for at least these last 2 seasons. I don't know where you came up with that stat. As far as lowish floor, look at their previous vids on Kittle. The floor is higher than you think. There is also the case for Kittle likely getting more tds this year than McBride this upcoming season. Lastly, the adp difference between the two players allows a drafter to pick up another positional player while still getting a very good tight end. Don't know how all this is "foolish." Sure if it was Kyle Pitts, but Kittle is known and very good commodity. You're acting like this is taking Chase Claypool over Tyreek Hill.

I’m considering doing this in one of my drafts but I’m concerned that I’m passing on WRs with alot of upside like Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison
I’m fs doing this strategy if I’m at the 11-12 spot if there’s no wrs available
@@evanzebott524what do you mean no WR at 11-12 There’s at least 3 that could be a WR5 at pick 11-15

I agree, Joe Mixon, and the fourth round is definitely a steal! I will be diving headfirst into the running back shred zone for that pick.
In mock drafts I draft mixon 3rd round
The trendency to wait until the running back shred-zone to take your rb1 is alarming.
Nicely done

Yards per game by year
2020: 126.7
2021: 117.1
2022: 96.1

I like getting my top 3 WRs & finding value at the ones'ys and filling out depth in the arB shredzone
I’m going wide receiver heavy this season and trimming the Running back shred zone!
Believe any of those GB receivers have the ability to push Dobbs/Dubbs to the bench. Including Bo Melton.
I love how young you made the old man look in the thumbnail 😂

Love Watson, but my money's on Reed to finish with the most targets on the packers
Watson was hurt most of the year last year though. I bet he has similar production to Reed if not better
I would prefer Ferguson or Cleveland TE over Kittle in redraft but BB yah kittle all day

Youre saying youd take those rbs over mixon?? Dude maybe kamara in 1 ppr but stay away from rbs on bad offenses
2nd half of 2023 Singletary was a high-end RB2 in that offense. Mixon is going to be an RB2 almost every week.
I am referring to bestball, but yeah give me all those dudes over Mixon, McConkey going to be a top 5-10 WR out if the gate, book it!
Kittle has too many games with little action.
Kamara bust coming in. 2nd highest paid RB in the league. Saints will involve Miller more to take over. Kamara wont be a Saint next season.
