Totally agree with the comments on the molds. I also see a big quality difference in the templates sold by CE as compared to other sources. For those who have a drill press, I personally think it is safer and more precise than using a hand drill to make the holes for the inserts. Also try using a thin layer of dark resin on the bottom of the two holes drilled in this video to cover the pilot holes from the Forstner bit. I think it provides a more polished look when complete. Just an opinion.

Is there a front and back on the inserts? Or does it not matter which side you put it on?
There is, the holes on the inserts are countersunk on one side to allow the screw to sit flat.
