Vinales is a beautiful region of Cuba full of mountains, tobacco farms, and coffee plantations. Instead of booking a tour guide, we thought the best way to experience it would be by bike through the valley. We wanted to get lost on our own and go on a full day adventure exploring this beautiful place! Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

I know this is such a lame request, because so many vloggers do it, but I'm wondering if you guys could do a "what's in my bag" video. The reason I'm asking is because your travel style really matches how I am, but I'm living out of a hiking backpack and it's so inconvenient. I've gotten down to the bare minimum, but I still feel like I just have too much stuff. I know you two live with that "everything we own is with us" mentality, so I'm just really curious how I could switch to this without compromising my personal style and comfort. Also maybe you could talk about what you do with things when you go to different climates. Do you leave clothing behind? Do you store it somewhere? Do you have a storage unit back in the US? If you can't do the video, no biggie. I just always think about these things and my own situation while watching your vids!
Hey Stephanie! A packing video has been our to-do list since.... We left 😂I have struggled to get my "stuff" to where it is now, and I do feel like I've learned a ton. I'd LOVE to make this video soon. I don't think I will ever have the perfect advice which is why it's taken me so long, but there will definitely be a packing video up eventually!!

7:51 my heart melted!!! It´s Luiz - Luiz the Player :) We went to their tobacco farm twice, first day on the horses, only me and my husband and our tour guide, and next day independently on the bikes, again only two of us, no one else, we just walked in, because we just loved these guys, they were so sweet and they made us the best mojito! Such a shame you didn´t went on horses! we have been in caves and saw a lot which we would never found independently... and of corse the Mural and other caves next day....aaaa and day after we met Luiz walking in the village, we offered him a beer and he gave me bracelet on my hand (which I still have) as a thank you and I will forever have this moment in my heart! We need to go to Cuba again soon:) Luiz the Player :) :)
When I watch your vlogs, it makes me feel like I am traveling the world with good friends. You are such nice, authentic people and it is so wonderful to see your joy in discovering new places and people. Your energy and enthusiasm are fantastic.

Thank you for your candid filming in Cuba. When I went recently I was not prepared for this kind of travel because most videos on YT did not talk about the reality of scams. I left Cuba feeling like I had an amazing adventure but also didnt like the feeling of constantly being ripped off. Cuba is beautiful and I would love to go back knowing what I know now.

You are so right about getting lost and having things go 'wrong' ending up being your fondest memories!
My partner, his family and I were in Thailand and it was my first time there. We went to a VERY local waterfall, (we stay on an island with a Thai family that speak little English, it's amazing) anyway... we basically heard this clap of thunder and went 'Oooooh dear'.
We ended up hiking about 3km back from the waterfall to the car in torrential rain to then sit in the back of our friends car tray without a cover being pelted by the hardest raindrops I have ever felt for 45 minutes. A group of 6 of us then hugged the one that stayed in the car once we got back to the Home Stay. 😂
My fondest memory of any holiday so far! ♥
