Introduced me to it again, but my first City Pop was Flyday Chinatown. Filipino radio station, Win Radio aired it once, I loved listening to it. Forgot about it, listened to Dress Down, Merry-go-round, Love talkin' and discovered City Pop
What a coincidence for me I also heard it in a bugs bunny meme from that moment on I fell in love with city pop
It wasn’t my first, Plastic Love was actually my first one bc it was in my recommendations one day, but this was the song that I always listened to after cheer practice in highschool 😊😊

This song is so good! At first I didn't know what she meant by "dress down" (my brain automatically thought it was something dirty lol) but after a few listens I think it is supposed to mean she wants her crush to let their walls down so they would be vulnerable to her seduction. I'd be interested to hear other interpretations but either way the song is very fun.
I think she means just dressing for going to a fun place with the guy she loves and having a good time there
The song itself is a future funk track ..way ahead of its time..

This is the first and favorite city pop song I heard first found it when I was in middle school ,and for the past year have been digging deeper, but nothing will hold a candle to this be it being just that good or sentimental reasons.
