The lack of shows today... like this show, is precisely why people today don't know what good music really is. Great selection of Artists. Phoebe Snow , a Remarkable Singer... Eddie Palmieri... and David Sanborn's solo... Wow! What a show! Mr. Simon, Thanks for sharing Puerto Rico's Music, one among its many Treasures, with all of us.
This is why we call Eddie Palmeri the "The Sun Of Latin Music" he is the cosmic pulsar of our consciousness into Salsa, and Afro-Cuban style music and you then add Giovanni, Legend Francisco on conga! Andy on Bass, Nelson on the Tres (Cuban), and Yomo on El Cuatro (Puerto Rican), Charlie on Trumpet and Cotto on timbal with Anthony on bongos... "Que Viva La Musica Latina"
Full names would be helpful: yomo toro on cuatro, anthony carrillo on bongos, andy gonzalez on bass, charlie sepulveda on trumpet, brian lynch on trumpet, Nelson Gonzalez on tres, giovanni hidalgo on congas, francisco aguabella on congas, Shiro Sadamura on violin.
The Yamaha Electric Grand really has a sound all it's own and when played by masters such as Eddie Palmieri, Richard Tee and a few more it strongly brings out the percussive aspect of the piano - it's a shame it's so unwieldy and difficult to keep in tune - it had a moment though.
Great music show. Unfortunately, nobody cares about music or even knows what it is. It has to be different, it doesn't have to be good. Nobody even knows what GOOD is. Just look at the crap on SNL.

This is one of my favorite versions of Teen Town. Love when Eddie starts playing those chords. Can't believe this was 35 years ago. Man, I feel old.
absolutely feel the same! That latin vibe at the end; Hiram Bullock's solo when Eddie doubles him! 35 years ago? wow

monstruosoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............................................................................
Looka Giovanni Hidalgo on congas!
The album is entitled SUEÑO.
The TRES player's name is NELSON GONZÁLEZ not NICK GONZÁLEZ.

Lol poor conga player had a dead mic
Really SOUR sounding trumpets in that first band. The piano player with his mouth open I thought he was yawning at first. I hated that band.
You have no idea what cuban music is. ALL JAZZ MUSICIANS LOVE IT, WITHOUT EXCEPTION
Everyone has the right to his opinion, albeit a musically uninformed one
Space Ghost you obviously are not a musician you are just another ignorant 😂😂
@@hildacolon5822 When ignorance becomes a virtue and someone wears it like a badge of honor stay away amiga. 😃
You definitely don't know international music.
