Bought this truck, new, Now 2023, except i have the mega cab version. Agree with the review mostly. Did not do enough due diligence as I should about owning a diesel . Understand 2013 models started Use of DEF additive , filled regularly at separate site. Not horrible expensive. I’ve Never ran the tank dry but understand the engine will not start if allowed to. Again didnt do my homework, 300 dollar fuel filters need to be changed every 6K miles. Experience a number of exhaust manifold issues, carbon build up, exhaust sensor failures. 1st one was a 2500 dollar repair (1st and last trip to the dealer). No problem I thought, still own this vehicle and purchased the 2K dollar extended warranty. Again didn’t do my homework, exhaust manifold issues not covered. Since, I use an independent t diesel mechanic , when the engine light shows, he’s able to tell (the computer gizmos that monitor all of this ) if it just needs resetting or is there a real issue, I’m not a mechanic but understand it will trip after certain number of miles or time. He actually owns a 2012 Ram specifically to avoid DEF issues. No other issues. For me It’s not a work truck , liked the mega cabin, try to only drive highway miles and advised not to let it just “idle” for long periods as this can complicate the exhaust manifold carbon buildup.
What is the light load tire inflate button? It's down on the traction control section of buttons. Does the mega cab edition have all the same in floor storage as this cab? Is there a cargo camera option on the laramie?
"The "Light Load" reset switch will allow the driver to change between the max load inflation pressure (cold) low pressure warning threshold and the light load inflation pressure (cold) low pressure warning threshold depending on the vehicle's load condition. Sometimes the tire pressure readings are not accurate until the vehicle is in motion. Some vehicles disable the tire pressure readings until the vehicle has been driven a little.
My everyday pickup truck!! terrific job bro.
I WOULD CHOOSE THIS OVER THE ESCALADE
