I just ordered mine on Saturday morning. This exact truck. I'm so excited. I ordered it with everything except the Air suspension, sunroof and trailer control. $43,000. Comes in July, my wife and I both where born in July and also married in July. Time to add more happiness to the best month of the year. Sorry guys very happy!
@@toriwilliams500 I don’t. But I own a 2008 Ram with over 200k and no issues other than the radiator at some point. Power train is still running strong. Sorry about yours.
I just realized that I've watched this video about 5 times and never said thanks, so here it is, thank you for the probably best in depth review for the Gen4 Ram available on RUclips! I ordered my 2014 1500 Laramie HEMI 4x4 Crew Cab just a week ago. I'll get it in 1.5 Weeks and I'm really excited!
My grandpa got like a three year lease for one of these about in 3-5 Months ago and it is just awsome. It is a cross over of Luxury And being a straight out beast. Any great video I Love em keep up the good work!
Kyle, I own a '13 Laramie and I wanted to touch on a few things that you forgot to mention. These trucks also have the option for auto dimming headlights and rain sensing wipers via sensors near the rear view mirror. The outside mirrors are also power folding. There are storage compartments under the fold flat floor as well as in the floor in the back. The auto dimming mirrors will dim the inside mirror as well as both of the outside mirrors. The CD player no longer comes standard.
Biggest reason is for the engine to warm up on a really cold day before you get in the vehicle. Some systems won't turn the heater on until the engine is sufficiently warm since running the heater will cool the engine down and thus taking longer to warm both the engine and cabin. It can help a hot day by letting the A/C run before getting the vehicle, but that's not as effective since it helps to get car moving to help the A/C work more efficiently.
It's always been true that dodge makes the best looking and sounding trucks, I just hope that with the new ones, they can add reliability into the mix.
always been a ford guy, they just got way to expensive, so i bought a 2013 dodge crew cab 1500. 13000 dollars less than a equally equipped ford. 5.7 hemi 395 horse 407 ftlbs trq. hands down the best riding best fuel mileage pickup i have ever owned. 17.3 average mpg in town 22.2 hwy. 2005 f150 crew cab 5.4 never saw 19 mpg even on hwy. if trans holds up i may become a ram convert. ford has a heller nice 2015 coming out, lighter better fuel mileage, but if you dont have 50k to spend you are not likely to ever own a new ford crewcab 4x4! out of my league.
I just got a 2016 Laramie and nothing has really changed. Mine is finished in Black Forest green pearl. The only thing that is different is that mine has a sunroof.
Kyle's famous lines: "Hey everybody, how's it goin? Today, lets take an in-depth look at the all new (insert year here) (insert car name here). And this is gonna be a full, in-depth tour of the (insert car name) we'll start it up show the engine get an exhaust clip go over the performance data, and show you a bunch of the features on the interior as well as exterior. and so, without further ado... just gonna start it up.. and let it run. PLEASE KEEP MAKING VIDEOS!! HE BEST EVER!!!! ----Matt
Nothing against Chevy or Ford. I've always been a big Dodge fan and nothing sounds like a Hemi. Mopar! Thanks for another great video Kyle! I watch probably 3 videos a day!
To be fair, I had a '99 with 265k on the clock. Only major repair was the transmission, and the intake manifold gasket which all Chrysler V8s of the time suffered from. Otherwise, it stood up to being driven 500+ miles a week for 10 years straight. Salty roads caused the frame to rust through which is the only reason it's gone. It'd still be my daily driver.
I did make a mistake and honestly don't know where I saw or why I wrote that down or why I didn't catch it in the editing process. My mistake, I assume it would be more so in the 15 second range, but that's without looking it up. It happens, I'm sure most people know I made a mistake, no big deal. Sorry for the confusion.
Well it is official Kyle has done reviews on all of my car's I am going to purchase in the near future. I take this as a sign that I will be receiving these Blessing's very soon in my life. Thank you Universe!!!!!!! Thank You GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very nice truck, but i can't get my head off that rotary shift.. couldn't they just have resorted back to a column shift just to free space for the center console? I know Chrysler and other car companies wants to be innovative and test new things for their products, but I still think an ordinary column mounted shift is more practical than a knob shift. also it kind of looks out of place for a half ton pickup truck might I add.
@Battenkill Rambler Forgot I posted this comment lol, but yeah you're right. I drive a 2014 Ram for my job and the knob shift isn't as bad as I thought it was, got used to it over the months.
it makes me happy to see america building great cars again! what a beautiful truck! maybe german sedans are better in terms of quality and performance, but the americans made a lot of progress in the last 5 years!
Greg Fritchen I think I've made a mistake. You can have the 2500 with the 6.4l - not the 1500. The 5.7l is still the highest for the 1500 series. But let's be honest, the 6.4l doesn't have much more output than the 5.7l, not worth it in my opinion. At least I have never thought "oh damn I need a bigger engine than this"...
***** If the 6.4 liter engine doesn't have much more power than the 5.7 liter engine then they might as well make it an option. The Ram 2500 is heavier than the Ram 1500 so the reduction in weight will give it more power and better fuel economy as well. It's nothing about "need".
I like everything except for the placement of the gear lever, I loved the classic old true american truck steering-wheel gear changer. it just makes trucks more "trucky"
Good concepts and great ideas such as the push to start and the extra back seat storage you dont really see that in todays market with trucks unfortunatly still a ram im a chevy guy
As always, great rev. But what about putting also some information about the cars you review, in their description? ex. bhp, engine, traction, fuel type, and few others... Because sometimes it happens I need these infos about your review after some times I looked at it... and I can't simply look it again, cause it's long ;) Think about it, cya ;)

whether you're a ford or a chevy fan like me u have to admit dodge has the nicest interiors
Go sit in the laramie longhorn then the GMc sierra denali. The denali is much better than the laramie. And it's not a disgusting poop brown color.
High country and denali do have a nicer interior. But the infotainment system is better in rams
Interiors are to nice for trucks... like who would want to get it dirty when you are working
Casey Miller never been a fan of gm interior
Ford has the best interiors But I'm a Chevy guy
The 2009+ Ram 1500s are the nicest looking half tons on the market right now.
You’re so thorough with your reviews, that I’m surprised you never show the storage/coolers in the floors in the backseats.
got me one in 2013 lovin it.. RAM TRUCKS RULE.
Ramguykev do you still have it? How is it running? Any problems?
Same here it rules!
ActionFire big bet
Got me a 2017 ram, love it!

I would be too. I want this truck so bad.

+Malik Art. I like that truck
+Malik Art. me too I want it
+Pedro Santos Guess you don't actually do any work with a truck.
EXCELLENT presentation and info..
Also the first I've ever seen demonstrating the radio. Had no idea Ram had surround sound.
That's one sweet truck, and that's coming from a guy who lives in the heart of Europe!
My dad just got a 2013 RAM 1500 express and for being somewhat basic, it's still a super nice truck! Love driving it.
Im pretty sure if youre buying a near $50,000 truck gas mileage doesn't impact you.
It’s crazy how much it costed new. You can get them for as low as $18,000 now. Lol

Tuddec Electric trailer brakes, pretty common in the US

This is definately the best looking truck and probably the most inovative one too.
This truck, by far sounds the best out of all its competitors!
That start up was so satisfying 0:01
I agree
Best looking - Dodge
Most traditional - Chevy
Most cutting edge - Ford
I wanted the 2.7 ford but it's thousands to fix a turbo if they go out after 5 years.Extended warranty thousands.
BRUCE LEE If you want something reliable get the RAM or The Tundra.

I'm going ride comfort,price and MPG....THE V-6 RAM 1500 wins
***** Most ford trucks now are V6 only.
Will you guarantee my TURBO from Ford ??
That is by far the best looking truck on the road. Mad props to dodge/ram.
beautiful truck! i love the model with the giant badge on the passenger/driver door.
One thing for sure, these 4th gen trucks are pretty nice looking both inside and out!
Love that horn when it starts automatically!
This is one hell of a truck! So good looking in this color!
Badass looking truck, my favorite, great review Kyle!
Hell yeah! I purchased a 2013 Laramie last year. Best $38K I ever spent.
+joseph pallan What the hell are you talking about exactly?
I'll will buy this pickup truck 1 day in 2023.
I love the styling of the 2009-2018 and the 2019-PRESENT RAM 1500 trucks.
I had the opportunity to drive one of these trucks when someone hit my olds. Was the 3.6L 8-speed automatic.. Best truck I've driven
Consistancy is the key to these type of videos.
My father just got one of these,it's good to see a review from you about it to know what it's capable of. :)
Nice vid Kyle! Keep up the great work man! Can wait for the Ferrari test drive!

Can't wait for you to do that halloween special on a Plymouth Fury.
Can you get the new rams with a propper shifter instead of some super fancy turn knob?
Yes, but I'm pretty sure the 8 speed comes like that.
No, the 8spd always has that knob. You'll get used to it. It's not even fancy, it's just convenient and saves up a lot of space which you may use for other stuff.
***** im just wondering if you can get the 1500 rams without that knob, and the 8 spd if needs be to have the normal shifter / gear selecter
prisregil
As I said, no, the new RAMs (at least the 1500s) are only available with the 8 speed tranny and the 8 spd tranny is only available with the knob. The 2013 RAM 1500 was available with either the old 6 speed and a middle console shifter or could be equipped with the 8spd. As of MY 2014, the 6spd is no longer featured.
The knob is 100% electrical. No mechanical connection to the tranny at all. There is a mechanical emergengy park-release latch under the dash, though.
To me an american pickup aint true american without the shifter on the side of the steering colum,,, some weird knob is like i said,,, to ''fancy''
There are so many reasons I don't like that gear selector. I can already see potential issues. For example if the battery is dead, and you need to put the vehicle in neutral to move it, you are completely screwed. I'd take the 2 or 3 mpg increase and get the 6-speed with the actual lever in the console.
