Charlie's Angels is an American crime drama television series about three women who work for a private investigation agency, and is one of the first shows to showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men.
The series stars Kate Jackson; Farrah Fawcett-Majors; Jaclyn Smith; Cheryl Ladd; Shelley Hack; Tanya Roberts; David Doyle; and John Forsythe as the voice of Charles Townsend, also known as "Charlie" (the Angels' boss).
The series was broadcast in the USA on the ABC Television Network from 1976 to 1981 and was one of the most successful series of the 1970s. Charlie's Angels was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg.
Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Farrah Fawcett ( R.I.P. ) will ALWAYS be the original Angels.

@@CJ_7519 right back at you. I am watching Charlie's angels right now as i am replying to you. I have all 5 seasons on DVD. I am watching season 1. The episode terror on ward one when they go undercover in the hospital to catch someone who attacks nurses. This my favorite episode.

@@CJ_7519 yep. I grew up with other cop shows back in the day. I watch them too. 1 of them is police woman starring Angie Dickinson. I watched that when i was about 7 maybe 8 yrs old. But Charlie's angels is my all time favorite. Wonder woman is another favorite of mine. I also have the complete series of wonder woman on DVD. My late aunt got me Charlie's angels and wonder woman the complete series dvds for Christmas about 7 yrs ago.

I was in third grade when this show started and it was all everyone talked about. I had to be in bed by nine but i remember sneaking to watch the opening theme and music it was so exciting. My teacher Miss McDonald was so pretty she reminded all of us of Jaclyn Smith!

What a nostalgic theme song! I remember my 2 cousins and I pretended to be the Angels (I was Kelly, my cousins Kristen and Pam were Kris and Sabrina, respectively, and their little brother Jimmy was Bosley, lol!) Good times!!
Just great theme music - essence of 70's glamour and similar feel to the Love Boat theme.
All three were beautiful!!!! But Farrah stood out for me! Omg those teeth/ smile!!!!! Not to mention hair, figure, beautiful blue eyes. Angel on earth for sure! RIP sweet angel. 🙏
My favorite angel was Kate, then Farrah. The original trio was the best, phenomenal chemistry and best friends. Kate called Farrah jokingly "teeth" and "hair".

I wish one of my late sisters was one of Charlie's Angels. She earned her wings on October 7, 2009, same day as one of my nephew's birthday.

Nice splice between the Opening and Closing Themes! Technically, based on the video and voice-over here, this is only the theme from 1976 since other Angels came on-board in starting in 1977.

...Jaclyn Smith is still hot today and I loved her cameo appearance in the Diaz/Barrymore Charlie's Angels Full Throttle. It was a much more fitting nod to the original series than some of these Hollywood revivals have shown to their inspiration

Sabrina was my favorite and it wasn't even close. Kate Jackson (Sabrina) was a good actress who showed confidence, took charge and was in control. Great screen presence. Kate Jackson IS beautiful. Her "beauty" is just different from the other ladies. Farrah was my second favorite because of her beauty and screen presence. I like Jacklyn Smith, but she never did much for me. I thought her acting was mediocre. She was just kind of there. Jacklyn Smith can't carry a show. Look what happened when Kate Jackson left. Jacklyn just doesn't have the type of personality to do so. Cheryl Ladd was cute but the same. No comment on the others.
I wasn't surprised once Kate Jackson left the show, the ratings dropped significantly and out of the top 40. This show should have been cancelled once Kate Jackson left after season 3. The numbers don't lie. After Kate Jackson left, the TV ratings for this show plummeted.
