Don’t usually ever comment, but I always find myself coming back to this channel. It was really the catalyst that made me *want* to learn Spanish a couple years ago. I am part of that group of immigrant kids in America that were unfortunately not taught Spanish by their parents. I have decided to learn for myself because of you, Laura, and your amazing filmmaking and storytelling skills. yeah me too, I don't have proper schooling in general, moved to Spain 8 months ago. But before that, I persevered to learn Spanish and this is the only channel that helped me a lot, her 4 first videos is already enough for me to learn lol. Just continued watching to know more stuff and be more fluent, plus it's not boring like some other channels.
she told me on ko fi that she had bought a van and was fixing it up to live in and she was totally busy on that . She has two videos that mention her dreams of living in a van which she was going to call Vanessa . Hopefully she will add van life videos to her channel along with her other stuff.

The best explanation I’ve heard of what it feels to learn Spanish is the reaction an average Spanish learner has to either hearing or needing to produce “hola, como estas?”
The meaning is completely internalized. There is no translating, nor any deconstruction of the phrase/conjugation analysis.
It’s instantly understood or produced on demand.
The count and complexity of the phrases and words that do this in your mind just keeps growing…

I've started studying Spanish not that long ago (for a few months) and I'm so happy and grateful that you've made these awesome videos!
I think this way of learning is the best since just looking at pages of words isn't as helpful as actually seeing the objects. And I also like that you don't talk too fast so it's easy to listen to how words are pronounced.

Love these! The addition of hand gestures and facial expressions make it very funny. The only thing is I forget the words, so maybe at end put up a quick list, would be really helpful.
