I think the only real reason people are so low on Dallas Turner is because of the expectations he came into the year with. The reality has been the Vikings have had one of the best pass rushes in the NFL this season and have 3 guys with 5 or more sacks. While I would expect Turner to be demanding more snaps due to his play in practice (I don't know if he's doing well in practice or not), I also am not willing to drop my grade on him with them opting for the veteran high level play of Greenard and Van Ginkel. Bucs center Graham is totally underrated here. He has not been responsible for almost any sacks or pressures when playing. He has been hurt which slowed his development but when in the game he is a huge upgrade over last year. It is one of the huge reasons they went from #32 in rushing yardage in 2023 to #7 in rushing yardage in 2024. Yes, they have two new running backs but the old running back is averaging about 2 more yards a carry this year. He would not have improved that much unless the center was doing his job.

He’s seen 4-8 targets in 6/8 games and only produced 10 yards per catch in 2/8 games which is worrisome. Worthy 5’11 165lbs has been getting bullied all over the field as he can’t handle any contact due to his lack of size. He is bringing in 50% of his targets. Worthy has had a few mental errors too: drifting out of bounds to catch the ball at the goal line when he was wide open, many times falling down mid route and low-key could have a ball security issue. Keep in mind that Xavier Worthy coming in to the year was expected to be the #4 target on the depth chart behind Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Scheuster. And there have been MANY missed opportunities where Worthy has been wide open. He’s flashed open multiple times every game, mostly in the middle of the field and Mahomes either just misses him or doesn’t see him. On the brightside, KC is 8-0 and Andy Reid is notorious for bringing rookie WR’s along very slowly with training wheels. Worthy has been the sacrificial deep threat and is being double teamed down the field to get guys like Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins open with favorable matchups. His presence on the field has caused defensive miscommunications and blown coverages. With Travis Kelce coming into form and DeAndre Hopkins’ addition to the offense, the 2nd half of Worthy’s season will be a much better story. Similar to Rashee Rice’s 2nd half of last year. When Mahomes and Worthy get on the same page I fully expect 800 yards for the rookie by seasons end and be a dangerous weapon in the playoffs. {In comparison thru 8 games played; Rashee Rice had 10 more receptions on the same number of targets along with 130 more yards. Mecole Hardman had 140 more yards on the same amount of receptions.}

Worthy has had a few mental errors too: drifting out of bounds to catch the ball at the goal line when he was wide open, many times falling down mid route and low-key could have a ball security issue.
Keep in mind that Xavier Worthy coming in to the year was expected to be the #4 target on the depth chart behind Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Scheuster. And there have been MANY missed opportunities where Worthy has been wide open. He’s flashed open multiple times every game, mostly in the middle of the field and Mahomes either just misses him or doesn’t see him.
On the brightside, KC is 8-0 and Andy Reid is notorious for bringing rookie WR’s along very slowly with training wheels. Worthy has been the sacrificial deep threat and is being double teamed down the field to get guys like Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins open with favorable matchups. His presence on the field has caused defensive miscommunications and blown coverages.
With Travis Kelce coming into form and DeAndre Hopkins’ addition to the offense, the 2nd half of Worthy’s season will be a much better story. Similar to Rashee Rice’s 2nd half of last year. When Mahomes and Worthy get on the same page I fully expect 800 yards for the rookie by seasons end and be a dangerous weapon in the playoffs.
{In comparison thru 8 games played; Rashee Rice had 10 more receptions on the same number of targets along with 130 more yards. Mecole Hardman had 140 more yards on the same amount of receptions.}
I wish Patrick Mahomes would target Worthy more. He didn’t have a touchdown for 6 games. He has so much potential that we haven’t tested yet.
