Hi. Great video loved watching it and inspired to do the 5 Ferries ride over 2 days. Would like to know here you parked your van before you got on the ferry at Ardrossen. I’m thinking about Largs Yacht club as it looks more secure. Thanks.
Thank you. Enjoy your ride! We parked our vans at the ferry terminal, they have secure parking there and it’s not crazy expensive

If you get the time, Ardfern, near the Crinan canal is an even prettier spot to camp.
Added to that, you can hear the roar of the Corryvreckan whirlpool!

We might have passed each other as I was going the other way, coming from the Lochranza ferry to camp in the stunning Glen Rosa (£5 a night) campsite near Brodick before getting on the Ardrossan ferry.

Probably one for another vid, but how did you get on with that meshy tent, temperature- wise?
That mesh bit is just the inner tent, there’s an exterior bit. I’ll do a proper review but just briefly, the outer doesn’t extend all the way to the ground so I’m not sure how good it would be when it’s cold. But it was fine for this trip, in May
Is it midge-proof? as mosquito mesh is no use in these parts.
