You made a great point about moving on to a smaller repair during larger repairs. I needed a break from endless hours on one dent and was getting burned out. I moved to a small dent and pulled it out completely in three glue tab pulls. Boy was I happy. With new confidence I was able to move back to the dnt that was kicking my butt.
Thank you Wyatt. Honestly it makes such a difference I'm glad you tried it. Staring at damage for too long can really strain your eyes and definitely your patience. moving away and revisiting is important, often we suggest that the practise dents that students first try they revisit again after a few weeks or months and try to improve on them further
@@LearnPDROnline I actually did that in my practice. I had to get away because I was getting burned out. I made a video about my first attempt at PDR and mentioned that I had to work on something else (another dent) because I was spending way too many hours getting frustrated at no progress. Thanks!
u r awesome
Thank you, I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Thanks for your explanation
I'm glad it makes sense, thank you

Good tip removing the lineboard at times, you can't beat natural light and reflections sometimes. Tricky repair but a very tidy result Tom.
Thank you! Yes its important to have both, a reading device and also the natural light, often you can get it to read pretty true in the lines and then cross checking from a few feet back in the natural light can still be miles out... Cheers
@@LearnPDROnline yes on several occasions I have just walked away from what I thought was a great repair 'on the board' only to look back in horror at a patch if raspberry! Now I always, always take a good hard look in real conditions...in short, it needs both! Keep up the great work Tom, you're helping thousands with your no nonsense straight forward approach.
@@sweetfreedomGB thank you, I really appreciate that it’s been a long day and your support makes it all worth while 👍🏻
Hi i did a 2021 chevy Blazer 8 miles on it a ladder fell on left front fender hss metal what a long repair that was insurance gave me 5 hours it took 8 and looked perfect from the front but from back with light had flaws but without taking door off no way to get it right but customer was super happy he didnt see what i knew wasnt right.i felt like it was a failure but everyone else thought it looked Great. You get to fussy when you get older its a challenge to yourself i think.Great work as always!
@@johnhanson4795 ditto John on several occasions..find it tricky walking away on cost grounds, knowing that really I can do a (for me) better job. The thing is, most people genuinely don't see what we see...thankfully!
Great job Tom. I'm planning to make my own line board and was wondering how wide are the black lines on your board and how wide is the white gap between them. Best regards from Canada
Thank you! my lines are quite narrow so they are 3mm in width and 3mm apart, the board itself just needs to be bright and glossy to reflect light and you can buy 'coachlines' aka 'go faster stripes' on ebay and amazon... 👍
Hi! can u make video how to use thin wire tools? :)
Hi Jussi, I hope this one helps - ruclips.net/video/EapSOX8b5H8/видео.html&ab_channel=LearnPDROnline

Much appreciated, thanks Tomas
Well done video except for the awful music.
Thank you Ellis I'm glad you enjoyed the video and sorry you did not like the music, I really appreciate feedback like this so will remove the main track from the options for next time!
