- BANGKOK, THAILAND - ICONSIAM has a surprisingly good Thai street food court, but is it the best shopping mall street food court in Bangkok? I visit ICONSIAM, MBK Center and Terminal 21 to see which Bangkok shopping mall has the best street food in Bangkok 2023. Shopping malls in Bangkok are a great way to introduce yourself to Thai street food because there are English translations, it is cleans air-conditioned and you have multiple options all under one roof. Do expect to pay a little more for this convenience though. I love ICONSIAM, it may be the best shopping mall in Bangkok and SookSiam Bangkok floating market Thai street food is surprisingly good.

Icon Siam is definitely the most spectacular shopping mall. However me as a Thai haven't tried street food there, what a shame😂. As the shopping mall is huge, I spent most of the time exploring other areas. I will have to go there again and give it a try. Kanom jeen looks good and you can describe it very well.
Definitely one of the best I have ever been to, although I am sure America or Dubai has something to say about that. Distracted by shopping... who knew?!?

never heard of khanom chin, gonna add that to the list for the next trip, and icon siam as well!
and sooo much crispy pork, wont be a healthy trip for me but hey hopefully worth it!
Haha you have to put the hard yards in now and then you’ll have some free weight to gain! Kanom jeen is fantastic, I love how you can style it how you want. Also ate another version with Gary in my video at Wang Lang market, that one was also good.

I work for ICONSIAM. There are a lot of street food here. It takes more time to eat all tasty food here. Enjoy eating😋👌 I like grilled meat balls here.

And I stayed at the Sheraton right across the river from the icon Siam mall, and I took the ferry over there almost every other day to get lunch. If I was to rate three malls. Icon Siam would be first, 21 would be second and MBK third. That is based solely on the atmosphere. The food is great in all 3 malls. The most expensive food would be the iconSiam mall.
IconSiam is a great one actually, especially on the lower floor. It is probably my favourite of all the malls too

That huge portion of kanom jeen for $1.50 is crazy. I pay $18 for that in NYC. Even with the cost of living adjustment, NYC isn't THAT much more expensive than Bangkok.

@@hungrytoexplore If you can pronounce these words correctly, งา (Nga), ป่น (Pbon), บ่น (Bon), you will be on your way to easily conversating naturally. Also using L (ล= law ling), and R (ร =raw reua ) correctly is a must. Try using Google translate, type each word in English to Thai, click on the speaker symbol for the pronunciation is a big help. @@hungrytoexplore Yea, you will enjoy it. Thai street food is something everyone shows here because frankly, they don't have the budget for the higher level food. It's noodles, noodles, pad krapow, pad thai and tom yum over and over. The truth is, the higher-level food here is still less than $6 or $7 and it's more interesting. It's also typically more traditional and culturally rich. It's almost to the point that there are so many poor struggling RUclipsrs with GoPro 9's showing basic street food that the Thai people really working to push the boundries of Thai food get little or no exposure. They are watching us show 50 baht noodles asking themselves, WTF? Why do these tourists eat cheaper than Thai people?
@@TheThaiLife haha I mean, the algorithm also loves cheap street food and people abroad want to see that. They are used to high end food and want to see the contrast of what you can get for so cheap. So I get it. I also love to eat this food, not from cost, but from taste. I do try to not just film walk arounds with a GoPro, I try to add more meaning to my videos. But variety is good, testing new ideas is good, I need to grow and adapt after all.

I always thought it was called Kanom Chin. (Chinese noodles). Maybe I was wrong. I used to pay 5B or 10B in the street for that in the 1980s

I realised that the shopping mall food at the foodcourt are nice and clean enough to eat, but the best testing is still street food 😂. Anyway, I love all Thai food whenever I go back Thailand I will eat eat and eat 😂😂😂
