    I want a rubber plant like hers😢. It is my favorite plant along with the Schefflera, but I seem to love them to death. I should have neglected it. I see you have them close to the window. Maybe I need to do that but my ac vents are near the window too. I had given up but seeing yours makes me want to give it a go again. Beautiful plant.

      Awww!!! Those are two of the heartiest plants I own. Yes, I would say water sparingly since they can withstand being a little under watered. They are also next to my heating vent, so I’m sure it’ll be fine next to your AC. Highly recommend given it one more go with those 2 plants. At least they are pretty easy to find at most stores that sell plants. Good luck ❤️🪴🤗!!

      Thank you!! Yeah, I felt bad ripping it apart like that lol but I felt like it was too full 🥺. Also, I’m curious how tall it can grow. Would love to have it super huge like my schefflera 🤞🏽

    My burgundy had the EXACT same problem with the roots! I repotted it at the beginning of spring because it had basically stopped growing and the last leaf or two it put out were TINY. When I took it out of its pot I was a bit confused cuz it didn't look that root-bound. However as soon as I started removing the soil on the outer edge of the ball, I realized that all the roots were bound up more in the middle of the root ball! REALLY bound up😬 I untangled what I could and gave it a slightly bigger pot and it's now doing great!! The new leaves are finally growing bigger again! Thanks for the video!🌿💚

      It is so interesting that it’s just one big ball! I’m glad yours are showing signs of growth now. I think mine got really shocked after being left alone for so long. They haven’t show much of anything yet. I’m hopeful it’ll really start growing again now that our weather is staying warm. Thanks so much for watching, Lauren 🪴❤️🤗!!

    You are brave to cut into the roots! I'm always scared I'm gonna kill it if I do.

      😂 it is definitely scary, but luckily they are still alive lol. I am shocked at how small the roots actually are. I was expecting them to be thick and juicy 🤔

    When I reuse solid, I dilute 3% hydrogen peroxide to 1.5% and mic with distilled water and spray reused soil and that helps kills any gnat or bacteria in the soil.

    Yay repotting! I love repotting. I know you don’t like it as much 😆. Good work out hehe. What also amazed me is when new shoots coming out and break the plastic pot. I just repotted my snake plant because the new shoots pushed the pot out.

      😂 it was definitely a good work out!! Same is happening with my baby snake plants also 🤗. I think I’m gonna repot those this week so we can see how the new pups are coming in 🤓

    Woo, those are monster roots and now I'm wondering if that's what's happening with my ZZ's roots.. I think it needs repotting...bought it 2 yrs ago in a 6' pot and immediately (didn't know better) repotted it into an 8'. Now the pot is bulging. Haven't yet decided to up-pot or wait till next season. About your ZZs, do they get light down to the pot? Just wondering whether, seeing they are by the wall, that they are growing more tall than bottom bushy because they get light coming mainly from above hence the growing behavior. Is this why? Wondering whether that's why my ZZ shoots out tall stems.

    • @Botanibabies
      @Botanibabies  3 года назад +1

      Wow, if they’re bulging you should uppot sooner than later if you want more shoots to grow 🤓. It grows and multiplies through the rhizomes below, which is what is causing it to grow and bulge from the base. They are really gnarly!! My lighting is really diffused, but it does get all the way down to the pot, but only for a few hours of sunlight a day. Wish it was more 😭!
