He was such a special singer - this may not be live - but it's the closest thing I've found to a live version of this gem - and I'll take it!

Nice sentiment. However, things did get very nasty in 1969 / 1970. Hence why they went from 5 Bee Gees to 2, then breakup ! But they patched their differences up to reform as a trio.
Aah.....that unforgettable sound of the 60's. How could we forget the great music & bands that came from this great generation & these talented brothers made it even more memorable. Robin's voice was out of this world & that psychedelic sound....wow. Whatever happened to it, we lost it along time ago. Sad that the Beegees are no more but Barry keeps the music going.

I don't know why, but it always tugs at my heartstrings to see Robin at this stage. This gangly, thin 17-year-old, with his expressive hands and soulful eyes... so awkward and vulnerable looking, and yet already musically gifted well beyond his years. He would really blossom physically later, but his heartfelt songwriting and incredible vocal delivery were there from the beginning.

when beegees 1st came out I managed to get a copy [probably a gift] and I treated it like the holy grail that it was. I knew that even at age 12.

I remember first hearing this on the flip side of To Love Somebody. Robin's voice was always my favorite of the three.
It was so interesting being teenage back then. You had to be there. The cold war was getting ready to blow up the world. People were digging fallout shelters. The music still had folk in it. "Rock" had not taken over.
