I love to look back on all the great footage of the early Bee Gees. It was so cool to see how they grew up and progressed through all the years. It seems like it took the twins a little while until they reached puberty. You can see and hear it on these videos. Boy did their cute little voices deepen and fill out so amazingly. Perfectly blended to big brother Barry's deeper voice. Only talented brothers raised up together and singing at very early ages could have accomplished this awesome and perfect sound. A special thanks to all the great posters supplying these amazing historical music treasures.

In this video, you can really tell that their voices got stronger and blended even better. I am so impressed with Mo and that twelve string. He was just naturally talented both with instruments, vocals, and composing. I say this because he was always so terribly underrated. I love them all but always have had a very tender spot for Mo.

@kthor I learned about this in the book The Bee Gees. The Ultimate Biography, Tales Of The Brothers Gibb. It has so much in it about their younger days. Don't know if you saw my post a couple of months ago about Barry getting a solo audition spot on a local television program because some one saw him singing at the Gaumont movie theatre in Manchester when he was only 11 years old. He was to be there at 7 pm, but because his dad was working with his band that night, he would have had to catch a bus into the city around 5:30. He asked his friend Kenny to go with him, but since it was already dark, his mom wouldn't let him go. So Barry didn't go. Who knows what might have happened?😁😁😁

I WAS A LOVER, A LEADER OF MAN
    Lyrics:Barry Gibb Music:Barry Gibb
I was a lover, a leader of men,
all of the women I knew were my friends.
I was so happy, my feet on the ground,
I didn't know I was on the way down
'cause you don't feel the same, it's only a game,
I had a billion or two in the bank,
I gave to charity, ain't got no thanks.
You gave me all that a woman could give

This has to be lip sync. Maurice is air-guitaring that 12-string, there's no cord. He doesn't even know how to hold the thing. The staging is a little strange. They have Barry way in the background and out of camera range, like he's a sideman. Why isn't Robin on a platform? Kind of amateur hour there, though the brothers sound fantastic. That's just pure natural talent.

    Didn't robin play an instrument

Robin was also talented with many instruments but he was almost all the time the lead vocalist so I'm sure they wanted him to focus on singing.

Keyboards were Robin's instrument of choice. He was the pianist on "Words".

@@Sharricb Well, with that kind of range, I think that's understandable for them to do that

Yes, I've seen Robin play the piano and some type of guitar looking instrument.

He was hardly bald then, it was his style. He had plenty on his head at 14 years old.

That is not Barry at the rear! That is Paul Wayne filling in for Barry. Have a really good look! Why else would he be at the rear. His stance is all wrong and guitar movements are as well.

He’s holding the guitar too low. It should be touching his chin.
