This has to be the most misinformed statement about JWs that I've ever read. We 100% agree that Jesus is the name we must be saved by, and that he is King of Gods kingdom. There would be no reason for us to go door-to-door if it wasn't for Jesus and what he did for us humans.

im dating a JW, and SHe is the most amazing human being i ever met, but it was one of the most difficult things i have ever done in my entire life, her parents took away her phone, her car, and said if she want to date me that they would kick her out, and because i loved her i leased an apartment and moved out of my parents house just to be with her, it was a nightmare dealing with her parents, But im not saying everyone is like that.

I think you covered a bit too much ground on this video if you are going to call it a nut shell. Jws in a nutshell would be just the parts on the belief in the faithful and discreet slave. That really is the only doctrine they have. Everything else is arbitrary and subject to change at the wim of the governing body. I'll just add, as a long time full time missionary for the jws, you do about as well as one can hope in terms of how you reason with them from the bible. Pretty accurate recap. The one thing I noticed was that in the refernce to the Ransom applying to the sin of Adam. If you look in their Insight Volume under Ransom they clearly view the "corresponing Ransom" of 1 Tim 2:6 as applying in a different way then as presented in most of their WTrs/study books they specifically state it corresponded to Adam ONLY, they do not believe Adam will benefit from the Ransom. In this case John 1:1 is stating that somebody (Jesus) is with somebody else, we read "...and the Word (Jesus) was with" God. Somebody was with somebody else. Yes, I know that your able to pick a 1/4 of a verse here and a 1/4 of a verse there, like is done in wrongly translating what James says about works and salvation. Then you have an issue in comparing that with the whole point of every Pauline Epistle. WORKS DOES NOT JUSTIFY ONE BEFORE THE THRONE. James is just saying that if one man says here's my faith with works, and the other said here's my faith without, who will be believed.

@mahwajuly86 divine beings can be referred to as gods in the bible. Satan is referred to as "the god of this system of things". From that perspective there ARE several gods. Yes, Jesus is also referred to as a god. I think we will have to agree to disagree here, to avoid a scene. But please keep an open mind about the trinity. I have done no less for many years. As a former Catholic, I searched and searched through my university library into why early Christians did not celebrate or belief in certain "religious" belief. What I found shock me and question the priests in my town. They couldn't or wouldn't give me an answer and the trinity belief was and is a Catholic belief instituted by them.

You will find the main change in the new world translation is the restoration of the divine name. I studied the king james extensively, long before I even knew of the new world translation. You may be interested to know that the new world translation is only published by JW's not written by them. JW's haven't changed a thing to support their beliefs.
@jsheahan08 keep on reading in the book of John and you will find what Jesus meant by "I and the father are one" If you read chapter 17 verse 21 you will read "That they (apostles) all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in you; theat they also may be one in Us, that they world may believe that You sent Me." So if we go by your logic the apostles were not 12 but 1 and that 1 is really Jesus because they are one in Jesus just like He is with his father.
@crazyjonah John 17:23 goes on to say that Jesus is in them (apostles) just as Jesus is with his Father. What Jesus meant is that he has all the qualities of his father and that they are like one, not that he is the Father. Jesus asks his father to make the apostles have the same qualities as if they were one just like He and the Father. If we go by your logic in these verses, the apostles are really 1 and not 12.
As is usually the case, your points are distored, of course! I won't go into all the cases. But you did say "when you are studying with the JW's you are required to attend 5 meetings a week" Wrong, newly bible studies, are not encouraged to do that. They are encouraged to attend public bible lectures on Sundays and maybe if their progressed enough, maybe a smaller meeting such as a book study. Any meeting of JW's is bible basis and backed up by scripture.
God would rather be of love than anger, but He does have and exhibit anger. Read previously posted verses. Also, there is a hell, read previously posted verses. Make no mistake, all of humanity will be judged before The Throne. Romans 5:9, "Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" Those justified by faith will receive salvation. False organizations (WT) will suffer eternal damnation (previous verses).
@jsheahan08 As to looking things up in a "real" bible. I have read several different bible translations aswell as referring to the original Hebrew and Greek.
Revelation 20:13-15: "...hell delivered up the dead which were in them...And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 21:8: "But the fearful, and unbelieving ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone." Revelation 14:11: " And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night..."
@mahwajuly86 I think you are perhaps reading too much into both these terms. "Son of Man" simply mean he was a son of humans, in that he was born to a fleshly mother on earth. It's not "begotten" that implies an only child but "ONLY begotten". I thought that was obvious. To beget just means to produce or to procreate according to the dictionary.
Sorry, part of that didn't come out very well. In Col. 1:15-19 the wt blatantly inserts the word "other", even the original greek manuscript does not have the word "other" in these verses. It was so obvious, that they were forced to place "other" in paranthesies, since it obviously had no place there. Why would they have "other" there, to undercut the work of Christ, that's why. Again, refer to Revelation 22:18-19 to forsee the demise of the watchtower.

@ServantofGod14 - "All governments are of the devil" - It is true that witnesses believe that Satan is truly the god of this system. This explains the suffering and inhumane actions we see all around us. HOWEVER, Romans 13:1 explains that these earthly governments have still been allowed their authority by the Almighty. Jehovah's witnesses therefore are subservient and respectful towards governements, EXCEPT when they contradict with God's law. Acts 5:29

Above all Jehovah's witnesses submit to what the BIBLE teaches, not the teachings of any earthly group. Upon analysis and in-depth study perhaps you will find that "the Watchtower" tells things a LOT closer to what the bible teaches than any other religious organization. @mahwajuly86 I agree with you, revelation 22:18,19 shows to some extent about how God feels regarding people who make false additions to His word. Regarding the dragon being the UN, I find it unlikely this is what was said at the convention. Regardless, it is NOT a JW teaching; Revelation 12:9 makes the identity of the dragon explicitly clear. As far as I'm concerned one of the biggest "twistings" of the gospel is the trinity. Did you read any of those scriptures pertaining to it?

Scriptures such as Mark 30:32, Matthew 20:20-23, 1cor 11:3 (among countless others) demonstrate that Jesus is /not/ God, therefore JW's reject the trinity considering it to be a pagan teaching. JW's however both accept Christ as saviour and strive to imitate his earthly life. How then is it rational to say JW's are not christian just because they don't believe in the trinity?
Justified, in the Christian sense, means to be found worthy for salvation. Let's read what the following verses say. These are just a few of many. I think you covered a bit too much ground on this video if you are going to call it a nut shell. Jws in a nutshell would be just the parts on the belief in the faithful and discreet slave. That really is the only doctrine they have. Everything else is arbitrary and subject to change at the wim of the governing body. I'll just add, as a long time full time missionary for the jws, you do about as well as one can hope in terms of how you reason with them from the bible. Yes, I know that your able to pick a 1/4 of a verse here and a 1/4 of a verse there, like is done in wrongly translating what James says about works and salvation. James is just saying that if one man says here's my faith with works, and the other said here's my faith without, who will be believed.

As a former Catholic, I searched and searched through my university library into why early Christians did not celebrate or belief in certain "religious" belief. What I found shock me and question the priests in my town. They couldn't or wouldn't give me an answer and the trinity belief was and is a Catholic belief instituted by them.

You will find the main change in the new world translation is the restoration of the divine name. I studied the king james extensively, long before I even knew of the new world translation. You may be interested to know that the new world translation is only published by JW's not written by them. JW's haven't changed a thing to support their beliefs.
@jsheahan08 keep on reading in the book of John and you will find what Jesus meant by "I and the father are one" If you read chapter 17 verse 21 you will read "That they (apostles) all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in you; theat they also may be one in Us, that they world may believe that You sent Me." So if we go by your logic the apostles were not 12 but 1 and that 1 is really Jesus because they are one in Jesus just like He is with his father.
@crazyjonah John 17:23 goes on to say that Jesus is in them (apostles) just as Jesus is with his Father. What Jesus meant is that he has all the qualities of his father and that they are like one, not that he is the Father. Jesus asks his father to make the apostles have the same qualities as if they were one just like He and the Father. If we go by your logic in these verses, the apostles are really 1 and not 12.

But you did say "when you are studying with the JW's you are required to attend 5 meetings a week" Wrong, newly bible studies, are not encouraged to do that. They are encouraged to attend public bible lectures on Sundays and maybe if their progressed enough, maybe a smaller meeting such as a book study. Any meeting of JW's is bible basis and backed up by scripture.

Revelation 20:13-15: "...hell delivered up the dead which were in them...And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 21:8: "But the fearful, and unbelieving ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone."
Revelation 14:11: " And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night..."
@mahwajuly86 I think you are perhaps reading too much into both these terms. "Son of Man" simply mean he was a son of humans, in that he was born to a fleshly mother on earth.
It's not "begotten" that implies an only child but "ONLY begotten". I thought that was obvious. To beget just means to produce or to procreate according to the dictionary.
Sorry, part of that didn't come out very well. In Col. 1:15-19 the wt blatantly inserts the word "other", even the original greek manuscript does not have the word "other" in these verses. It was so obvious, that they were forced to place "other" in paranthesies, since it obviously had no place there. Why would they have "other" there, to undercut the work of Christ, that's why. Again, refer to Revelation 22:18-19 to forsee the demise of the watchtower.

@ServantofGod14 - "All governments are of the devil" - It is true that witnesses believe that Satan is truly the god of this system. This explains the suffering and inhumane actions we see all around us. HOWEVER, Romans 13:1 explains that these earthly governments have still been allowed their authority by the Almighty. Jehovah's witnesses therefore are subservient and respectful towards governements, EXCEPT when they contradict with God's law. Acts 5:29
@ServantofGod14 - I hope I have brought out some interesting points for you my friend, even if you completely disagree.
Above all Jehovah's witnesses submit to what the BIBLE teaches, not the teachings of any earthly group. Upon analysis and in-depth study perhaps you will find that "the Watchtower" tells things a LOT closer to what the bible teaches than any other religious organization. Of course mistakes are made, we are all imperfect.

JWs always say they are imperfect. It's true of everybody, but I'm tired of it being used as an excuse for anything that goes wrong with the Witnesses!
Specifically failed end of the world dates like 1914, 1925, 1975, 1986, 2010, etc...
There is still time to repent, and receive the forgiveness of sins by calling on the Name that is above every name, Jesus. Mankind can choose to embrace The Truth while still in this mortal body, but if not, the eternal damnation of hell does await (previously posted verses). If this awaits the average unbeliever, then what awaits false organizations and prophets like the watchtower and its' followers?

@mahwajuly86 I agree with you, revelation 22:18,19 shows to some extent about how God feels regarding people who make false additions to His word. Regarding the dragon being the UN, I find it unlikely this is what was said at the convention. Regardless, it is NOT a JW teaching; Revelation 12:9 makes the identity of the dragon explicitly clear.
As far as I'm concerned one of the biggest "twistings" of the gospel is the trinity. Did you read any of those scriptures pertaining to it?

@mahwajuly86 It is true that JW's do not believe Jesus is the Almighty God. Jesus is God's son. Scriptures such as Mark 30:32, Matthew 20:20-23, 1cor 11:3 (among countless others) demonstrate that Jesus is /not/ God, therefore JW's reject the trinity considering it to be a pagan teaching.
JW's however both accept Christ as saviour and strive to imitate his earthly life. How then is it rational to say JW's are not christian just because they don't believe in the trinity?
Justified, in the Christian sense, means to be found worthy for salvation. Let's read what the following verses say. These are just a few of many. Acts 13:38&39 - "38"Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses." Anyways. What you JWs have to understand is...You contend for your faith. I, plenty of times, have had JWs at my door more than demean other faiths. Judaism, Islam, Catholocism, Protestant Christianity. Well, if you can't take the heat from others contending for their own faith, then get out of the kitchen. A spade must be called a spade, and a false organization and its' blinded followers must also be called such. The Watchtower, its' leaders, and its' follwers will be condemned, Yes, to hell. It's stated in all the verses I posted, and much more.
There is however still time for followers of this cult to be redeemed by The Blood of Jesus Christ. Not because of anything we've done, but by his grace. Repentance is a must, but The God of us, Jesus Christ, will accept you into His arms.

@mahwajuly86 Hey in my bible the KJV John 1:1 says that the word (Jesus) was with God. Logic 101 is saying that Jesus was with somebody else. Who? Who is that other being with Jesus because it clearly points out Jesus was with somebody else. Yes, it says Jesus is a God and that other being is also a God, but who is He.

Read the Gospel of John other than your own translation "New World Translation of The Holy Scriptures." I recommend you read "English Standard Version" and "New International Version". Remember, the Truth will SET you free from Jehovah's Witnesses since it isn't Christian!

So, why does The Bible call Jesus "The Son of God", and not "Son of Jehovah"? Because it's not meant in an "offspring" or "creation" sense! It's meant in a sense of "manifestation". Once again Philippians 2:6, "Who, being the very form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped".
What JWs also fail to grasp is that "firstborn", in Jewish culture, does not literally mean firstborn. IE., Manassah and Ephraim, Gen. 41. Manassah was chronologically first-born...(1/?)

I love the JW mantra - study more! We'll help and guide you. We'll give you a properly "translated" bible. We'll give you reading material direct from Bethel/Brooklyn (the West Point of Witness Belief). Etc, Etc. Do all of this, come to our meetings, abandon your non-believing friends and family.
