A quality review with no spoilers and some well-explained points. Well done, sir.
A reminder that this game has a lot of replay value due to the decisions made throughout the campaign, as well as the unlockables of New Game +.
A reminder that the game is not out yet and so you don't know any of that for sure unless you've actually played it yourself.
@@user-lz5vh9bb5wa reminder, if you know anything about FromSoftware, you know that this is a given.
@@user-lz5vh9bb5w ok well 24 hours later yes new game+ gives new missions/parts. so does new game ++
The developers confirmed the branching path previous to the game's launch. Fightincowboy also talked about this in a podcast with Rurikhan@@user-lz5vh9bb5w
I think this game is gonna give Returnal a run for its money as the best designed sound in a sci fi game
You might be right and I loved Returnal. The music and sound of the weapons and environment make my heart race every time I play. I’m super excited for this tho!
Healthy competition breeds higher standards. 👍
@@jeffers453 yes Returnal is vastly overlooked. Excited to finally have a game that scratches the Returnal sci fi itch again
@@christopherlyndsay8611it's hardly overlooked, it's already a cult classic and won multiple awards.
That would be quite the achievement. Returnal had some of the best most crunchy crackly sounds I've ever heard. I love the sound of when you equip and unequip parasites.
Love the Gundam Versus music
OG fan here. First played Armored Core back in 97. Been playing For Answer for the last few weeks to scratch the itch that VI has left. Doing a predownload as we speak.
We are very excited. I'm hoping we get more in the future
Awesome review! I liked the mention of the sound design a lot
It's what got me interested in the game from the trailers/previews, and subsequently the mech genre in general while waiting for the release
Raven engage
every new souls game has made me go it's been a long time, I hope this game and it's impending success see the franchise return somewhat to FROMsofts output rotation
Been a FrmSft fan since Dark Souls inception but never dove deep into an AC title. But one thing I know from them is that they always produce quality content. Aug 24 can't come any faster.

YEEES
9 is Hell
🎉👏 👏 👏
Woah never guess this lol...I'm still hoping that it'll be in the game as a "true last boss" in arena mode 🤞🤞🤞🤞
It was nice to hear the Gundam Versus music in the background. Armored Core 6 is what I wanted Gundam to be for so long.
Some Gundam Wing themed DLC for this would be dope
@@SmokeFaceSwish gundam iron blooded orphans would fit more but would be better 😂
They were armored core like gundam games but never localised
God I'm so ready for this, preordered preloaded and ready to go
What's the name of the music at the beginning?
Gundam Versus Soundtrack
@@COGConnected Found it, thanks.
No cutscenes in further chapters? Since you said the story is radio comms only
I liked your review even though I have not played the game. Some of the more well known reviewers seamed to forget about the story or were underwhelmed by its presentation in the game. I think that by now the gaming community is ok with not being spoon fed in terms of a story and the type of game you are playing largely determines how the story is presented. An example might be COD for instance, people play those games for a variety of reasons and story is not necessarily at the top of that list.
TLDR: I want to pilot a big machine with big guns that goes fast and blows stuff up, the story can come later.
great review
What if I told you there was another group of people? A rare group, but it's there, myself included. Those who were drawn in by Daemon X Machina, we found Armored Core through that, some of us. Or at least that's how I found it. (Same for Zone of The Enders, actually.) Even so, I too plan on going to Rubicon. I'll see you there, Ravens.
(Although, I guess in a way, my increased interest in DxM actually stemmed from Ace Combat X, specifically. And I mention X because that and X2/ Joint Assault were the only games I played at the time, but I digress.)
And a third group.
Fans of Mech Games!
Been looking for a year or two on the PSN for a good mech game, AC6 is that!
Greetings! How long does it take you to beat the game?
I've heard as low as 16hrs for a single playthrough but he said he had already played through the first chapter and sped through it. Others said up to 30 hrs. With that said it has multiple endings, new game plus has added parts, and you can't play every mission in a single playthrough.
I’m considering getting this one, never played an AC game before, but have played most of Fromsoft’s other games, there’s just so many other games coming out that idk if it’s even worth it.
Immediate like for using gundam music in the intro lol
Picked up my copy from a mom & pop yesterday. This game looks insane & I haven’t even beaten the first boss
Very valid review. Can't wait to play the best mech game ever
Titanfall is the only mech game I've enjoyed because the fluidity of the movement... This looks like it could scratch that itch.
When I find you in PvP: "This hand of mine is *BURNING RED!!!"*
The gameplay looks similar to Returnal, if I hear enough comparisons to the combat fluidity, I’ll buy it.
Its time, Ravens
I'm the third category, i don't like souls and don't know AC but i like fast action mecha game, i haven't find a good solo action mecha game after gundam breaker 3 so i suppose i need this one.
One thing that I wish they'd add coop mode or group effort challenges like a guild raid in an mmo later~ now i wish FS would make a mobile or mmo out of AC provided they handle things better than the ill fated Gundam Breaker mobile >..
Never played older AC games and I liked sekiro but not a massive souls fan. I prefer hack and slash combat like Ninja gaiden, DMC, bayonetta. I think I'll like this...hopefully
So story wise, are we (the player) the only augmented one while the rest are just normal people physically piloting the AC's?
Anyone classified as an AC pilot is augmented. There will be battles against other ACs, but yeah, most other mechs or vehicles have normal humans piloting them.
ACs aren’t that hard to come by and the pilots’ skills differ vastly. You will even find AC wrecks all over the game, indicating that while you’re more advanced, you’re not invincible.
This has no link to any SoulsRikg games at all. It's tru and tested armored core a bit more use friendly but still AC. I like how people are trying to get into the series thinking r'it could have any small link to any souls game, by any means it has none and the review stating it could have already goes too far. No it really doesn't and can't. Those are two very different games for different zudien. People woke up and discovered From Software yesterday. It happens don't mistake the games for being the only thing they make.
What da fuq are you going on about guy?
He actually starts talking about the game at 3:17.
algo
They drop the Coop game. Shame.
I mean to be fair Armored Core has always been a single player experience
Alright bois, lets get ready to tackle the swamp level, yeah?
I almost feel like AC nerds compete with each other on how ugly they can paint their mechs.
Music to my ears! Constant changing and adapting builds. That's what annoyed me about Elden Ring and other FromSoftware games. You always had to full commit to builds and are not encouraged to experiement without having to invest heavily into limited resources
You somehow managed to make this extremely fun fast paced video game look boring as hell. Refunded
Is still mechwarrior but just faster
They are ACs....not mechs.
That's like saying, "This isn't a vehicle, it's a car." They are, at heart, mechs. The terminology used in Armored Core is AC, but they are also later upgraded to be called "Armored Core NEXTs". Semantics, it's all the same.
The game is from mech genre. Its same like in every mech anime, they are named different, but are essentialy all mechs.
Tell me youre new to the AC franchise without telling me....
@@Akabane101 except this is a videogame thats fictitious. 🤦♂️
@@johnfink9020 Enlighten us, why ACs aren't mechs?
Bad video, talks about dark souls half the time. On to the next review...
I wonder if you actually know what an actual masterpiece looks like.
name us a game you consider a masterpiece mohammad
@@azir387 no game is a full on masterpiece but a game can only get close to being one. And everything I have seen and heard of armoured core 6 it is nowhere near being one. The only few games that I actually thought were close to being one were rdr2 and farcry3. Obviously for different reasons they were close to being masterpiece's.
@@mohammadashikurrahman7530 lol normie
@@azir387 better than being a fanboy I guess. Lol
@@mohammadashikurrahman7530 only brown people like those games
is there plenty of expensive unlocks or couple missions in you can already have the best stuff ?
expensive doesn't mean good all the time for AC games. That also includes AC6. Stats matter and its function, and most good stuff are either killing enemy AC, hidden chest or getting an S rank on that mission, and sometimes some stuff you can only get when you new game+
Yup. However, just bc you have an AC that has parts worth 1mill credits, if you cant pilot your AC worth a damn, you wont win. Weight and energy consumption have been a bane for the ACs pilot for decades.
Also, i can speak from experience about this: Just bc you have a heavy AC fitted with heavy parts, a lighweight AC with a good pilot can wreak you.
@@johnfink9020 Yeah I understand I just like progression and parts to work towards I don't want everything to be easily accessible.
@@Duriel92 i gotcha. It def has that 100% lol. The ability to replay missions for credits is a godsend. You wont be disappointed.
@@Duriel92the kinda funny games cast mentioned unlocking new parts into NG+ and another review mentioned meeting new characters in NG+2, so plenty to work towards for unlocking
See you out there, Ravens.
