Hi, I'm in a VERY similar situation myself, and I'd really like to talk to you. I'm so glad you got help! It gives me hope. Lately I've been at the end of my rope.
My dad was told the same as you were. He saw doctor after doctor, to finally be told he had 'fibromyalgia' and that he'd be in pain forever. He also has a lateral tilt but he ignores it. I'm 18 and I've been in chronic pain for three years. I was told I had a lateral pelvic tilt and an anterior pelvic tilt. My doctor can't understand why I'm in so much pain and why no pain or sleep medicine I've tried has made much difference. It's been getting worse and worse. I don't sleep anymore. It all started in my back and now it's so bad my whole body is in pain and I experience every symptom of fibromyalgia. I'm just waiting to be diagnosed when I finally see a rheumothologist, for him to tell me that I'm just going to have to live with this. I don't believe in this label. I think everyone can heal their back/pain. It's 2.45am right now and my back feels like it's on fire, I havent slept in days and ive been lying here since 10.30pm in hellish pain. I was in tears earlier and I stumbled onto this video in my recommended (because I've been trying to correct my pelvic tilt.) THC (RSO oil) is the only thing that takes the edge off the pain but sometimes it's so bad nothing helps.. I'm so driven, I want to get better so that I can be healthy and go to college and make friends and do my art but I'm too sick. 18 years old and I'm on disability benefit, I can't attend college, I don't have a social life, I haven't been active in my hobbies for a long time, I no energy. Everything hurts all the time. I'm depressed, sleep deprived, anorexic, isolated, anxious.. I'm fed up. Sorry for this rant. I just wanted to share my story because I think it's weird we're so simular. I want to find a chiropractor like you did. Nobody should have to accept this pain for the rest of their lives. I don't want to give up.

    • @haloharry97
      @haloharry97 4 года назад +1

You think that is bad, I had when I was 10 year old, docs just said it is weight, or it is in my head or better it is just growing pains
When I turned 18 it got the point I could not stand.
I decided to start going to other means like acupuncture, 3rd place I tryed was chiropractor, it was not cheap but they told me what was wrong, it taken over 2 years to all most fully fix it.
It may never be fixed completely but I'm no longer in pain when walking or running, I still get it when sitting down for a long time then start walking or when biking.
It was amazing after my 1st session, it was like I was given new leggs.

I am so confused now while walking because I feel so off with my gait and bearing weight on my legs. I'd like to know more about the SI joint causing this. My pt says that shouldn't move, that the ligaments are too strong, my chiro says it should move a little. Along with pain in the SI area, I've been feeling the top of my body doesn't line up with my pelvis and down, so I pull on my pelvis and hear a pop. Yesterday my chiro said one leg was an inch higher so she adjusted my hips. How can one leg be higher if the SI joint doesn't move?

I was born w/a one hip higher than the other. The Dr. told my mom when I was born. I didn't find out until I was 17 when I was in PE. My mom didn't know if I would be able to walk or not. It had devastating consequences in my life. I could never ride a bike, hula-hoop, dance fast. or really run. I could not give birth. They tried to induce labor w/Pitocin and nothing happened, no uterine activity at all. The Drs. could not figure it out. Even w/a C-section they had to remove my baby w/forceps, he never got in the birth canal and he was 2 wks. overdue. Then I had to have a THR 4 yrs. ago. I was bone on bone and could hardly walk. My other hip & knees are just fine. It's doubtful that any exercises would've helped me. I think the DR. mentioned special shoes for me, but, my parents had no money, my dad was a college student. Psychological issues were big for me. I was always the last chosen on a baseball team, thought I was a failure that I couldn't ride a bike. Now I think there are many more resources now available to help someone w/this problem. If I had known my diagnosis, I would have realized it wasn't my fault.

Awesome video as always! I don't know if you guys can help, but I have my left leg that is slightly longer than the other and it causes a pelvic tilt. I go to the PT and he can fix my pelvic tilt, but it always seems to come back, since evidently my leg won't shorten up. Is there a way to even them out, by using a little heel or feet prosthetics? Thank you!

You guys I have disc bulge and starting getting this about a year in!!! My physio thought it was scoliosis.
I try pushing my pelvis in away from the tilt, but I get leg symptomes. I feel my body did this to prevent pain in my right leg, but I feet that it might cause issues later on... My chiro has me wear a heal raise, I guess it helps a bit. It's maybe a bit better.
I don't know how long I'm stuck with this. I feel that as long as the herniation is there, the tilt is there..... Is this worth surgery (micro-d or ADR)?

    Good video, I enjoyed it!
I'm experiencing some problems when I do squats.
I went to a chiro and my pelvis is rotated and tilted. The right side appears slightly in front (if viewed from above) and it is higher. The weird thing is that she didn't see any leg length discrepancy (LLD), but I think she is wrong!
I've tried mobility work before I do squats at the gym but it is not helping. I think this suggests that it is an anatomically difference, such as a LLD. Because you can't fix a short leg by doing mobility work. This seems to be the most logical, but is it correct?
I experimented and put a 1 cm shim under my left foot and it stops the pelvis from rotating counter-clockwise. I eyeballed and measured myself and without the shim it certainly looks like the left side of my pelvis is about 1 cm lower than the right.

I'm not a PT. I've gathered the knowledge because I really want to fix my issue, so I've read a lot of articles, watched videos like this etc. I'm trying to convince the doctor to do an x-ray on me.
I've had light pain in my lower back for years but I've gotten used to it. Other than that I just have problems when I do squats.

I have the same issue too when i squat, ill only get pain after i squat. I went to a chiropractor and got an xray and it showed a tilited pelvis. He said it could be an imbalance of weight distribution while squatting which causes my muscles to pull more on one side causing my tilt

    • @user-yz2iw2fc9p

Justin Beck yes, for me I had to simply lower the weight until I could maintain perfect form and I did so many reps just to ingrain the form. I have really long femurs so I had to really push my knees out HARD and eventually it solved it.
