I have one it's everything he says it is. Loved it in my JKU, until it got totaled by an a$$hole that blew a red light. I pulled it from the wreckage and I'm here to see the install as I got a JL yesterday.

A trick: watch series at kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.

Do you have to set it to where u want every time you turn on the Jeep or does it have a memory to your last setting?
Frank Ducharme yeah, we like the AC mode so we have been leaving it there and it remembers each time we start the Jeep.

Steven Fish they haven’t been released just yet, iDrive says they will be available in a week or so and they will announce them on their social media.

Yes, once you set it then you never have to think about it again unless you want to adjust your settings.
Any check engine light with these? I’m hearing check engine
Christoper Dixon not on my Jeeps at all. When I installed on my Silverado I didn’t have the plug pushed in all the way, so I got a light. Then I fixed the plug and after a couple of starts the light went away.

This thing needs a "crawl" setting for off-roading. I can't say as I see $230 dollars worth of function here. I mean who bought a Jeep to race it?
John Turner its really not about racing it, I just did that for fun. It really wakes up the throttle response in the U settings but I was thinking the E Settings would be great for crawling.
@@shockerracing Thanks for responding, maybe a follow up video will offer the answer to the "crawl" settings :) My JLU Rubicons throttle is very touchy, hard to leave a stop without snapping your passengers head backward. I have the 3.6 with an AT and run 37" tires, no regearing or or any other mods. Does this smooth out the throttle on take off?
John Turner I know what you are talking about with the aggressive acceleration in the Rubicon. I attribute that to the 4.10 gears. I’m new to the Jeep world so I don’t have much experience with off-roading yet, but I believe the E settings will allow you to make the throttle less sensitive therefore less “snappy” when you are crawling. I had mentioned a lot of that in my original footage but unfortunately cut it to get the video length down a bit.
steve timleck I’ll admit I was on the fence about it at first but now that I’ve been driving around with it in the AC mode I’m hooked. I’ve since installed one in my Duramax diesel and plan to put one in my Cayman.
so bought it and installed it do you notice that the gears don't seem to shift as quickly in automatic like they used to it seems to go higher in the RPM's before it changes. Have you seen this?
Frank Ducharme no I haven’t noticed this at all on any of my vehicles. Does it still do that when you switch it to the factory mode? This shouldn’t have anything to do with the shifts as it is strictly affecting throttle sensitivity.

What if you have a tazer already hooked up does this look up somewhere different
Jeff Prevett yes, Tazer is through the OBD2 port. This plugs into the pedal as is completely separate. I have both.
@@shockerracing but didn't you say most of the time if you want to enjoy the power of it is going to use a lot more fuel someone said they can see their gas gauge just moving slowly when they would push it on U 9. Which one can you keep it on setting to where you feel the power but not burn more fuel
Jeff Prevett no, I haven’t noticed much change in fuel economy either way. We always keep ours in the AC mode and it drives great

TC TN it should be very similar, the clip on the plug might be slightly different

diego marcelino I don’t believe it leaves any trace so if you removed it they most likely wouldn’t know. But you may want to check with iDrive or your dealer to confirm.
V8 Conversion would solve all problems.

Don't bother trying to talk some sense into the idiots that buy these bits of garbage mate. They would try anything if its cheap enough. If you want real power you gotta pay for it.
do you guys not worry about warranty with all these mods. there so cool but worry they will void warranty.
Hamilton 2wheeler so far we haven’t done anything that should affect the warranty. This iDrive is a quick easy install and removal, so I could remove it before warranty work if I was worried.
