I bought a similar device for my truck a while back and it totally changed how it drives. I just used this awesome discount and I cant wait to see what the hike it does to my jeep.
Finally got mine Saturday and installed it in the Post Office parking lot. Tested it a bit Saturday night and took the Jeep out wheeling Sunday. HOW FREAKING AWESOME. Eco/4x4 mode is amazing offroad on the hills and rocks. The throttle control it gives you is absolutely perfect. Auto mode is best on the highway, Sport mode works perfect in the canyons, and even seems to help stay right there in the powerband coming out of corners. Hikeit mode is intense and I won't be using it on road. But it was really fun in the mud. Still testing cruise mode around town. Seems like a good fit. The one thing I was a little disappointed with is when you're in say hikeit or sport mode and you let off and get back on it there's still a little lag. I was hoping it would make the pedal snappier. But it does what you'd expect and opens the throttle a ton more with just light presses. Maybe a different pedal spring would help with the reaction I'm looking for. Overall, I LOVE IT. Thanks so much Ben for your review and the awesome discount. Got mine for $130, but I would have been willing to pay the $200 knowing what it does.

I am not one to post - however I ordered this after viewing your video. I totally makes a huge difference, a bit of a pita to plug it in but not so bad. I actually had ordered both the Idrive and the Hikeit, but for $70 difference I sent the Idrive back without even opening the box, so can not say what, if any difference between the two.
Ordered mine on Thursday night. Received confirmation of order but no shipping/tracking notification or number. Live in PA & received today (Monday). Hopefully will install tomorrow.

THANK YOU BEN!!!!! Just got it installed and yeah I gotta be careful with this add on. 1st 2nd 3rd gear the jeep moves. Maybe it's due to new exhaust n cold air intake but just got done with a 4 hour drive on the highway n was maxed out at 20.1mpg. Haven't seen that since the 2 1/2 lift and 35's were installed. Either way you were spot on with this one. Thanks again

Damn it, Ben. I've been on the fence about the iDrive and didn't want to blow $300 on it and still working to finish my 1-ton build with full suspension overhaul (read: I'm broke). And now I'm even more broke because I just ordered that hikeit! Thanks!... I think.
I just ordered one!!! When you have a 3.8 you'll try anything... I also recently installed a chip PCR (performance chip revamp) it's supposed to give a little more power and better gas mileage! I think it helped a little and it did bump my mpg from 18 hwy to around 19.5 hwy,, I'm going try the chip with the throttle controller........
@MoneyPit Jku odds are they are stock not many wanna pay out the price to regear and then just sell it! I regeared and added tru-trac front and rear because it's also my daily driver/weekend warrior and am not going any bigger not changing axels. Just going to stick to trail riding, minor offroading and few select offroad parks. Pretty happy right where it's at now.

I’d suggest you start videos such as this with, WHY? Why do I need it? It took you nearly 3 minutes to get to the instruction manual which helped me understand some details but, the big question is WHY do I need or want this. I suppose I figured it out by the end. Thanks for sharing.

Got mine today and got it installed. This is my first go around with a throttle controller. Crazy how the different settings affect the throttle. Going to take some time to get it tweaked right.

Have been pretty disappointed with the get up and go of my 2013 JK manual the past couple of years. I know Jeeps aren't known for racing, and in town with stop and go driving, not blowing off the line is no big deal since I'm usually not in a hurry, but when driving at highway speeds and interstate speeds and trying to pass someone, having to shift down and mash the accelerator to the floor just to get power enough to go around is a big negative! Saw your review of the idrive a couple years ago, but it was more than I wanted to spend at that point. (Checked today, and it's now the same price as the Hike It, but no option to change the color of the face plate, so there's that, along with your review of course, LOL!). Today, I saw this review so I went and checked it out. $199 for the X9, but the discount code JKGEAR still works, so it came to $183.60 which sold me - well, the catch up/intercept mode to pass easier actually sold me, but the price sealed the deal. Thanks for the review and the information and helping get my next summer mod!

@@UtahNick71 you cant believe anything they say. 4 days ago I got a email saying my order was complete on there end which makes no since I ordered it and they charged my card over two weeks ago. 3 days ago they said I would have it this week. 2 days ago they said next week. Yesterday I got a tracking number that said they shipped on the 26th and delivery was suspose to be today from that tracking number and guess what nothing showed up. Who put a discount code on anything to do with a jeep knowing they didnt have the product in stock? Hell yeah people were going to buy it there are more jeeps on the road then any other car/truck. If they sold 533 over what they had that's $70k and you cant tell me they cant speed up shipping. They may have a good product but that doesnt mean crap if you never get the product. After waiting 3 weeks its finally here. The great USPS kept sending it back to the post office it started at. This wasnt the sellers fault. I didnt have time to install it as I'm headed to jeep jam in myrtle beach.
Sucks that your having a hard time. That tracking info is weird, is the post office able to help at all? I will say that the company was not expecting this many orders at once, and they sold out of sold quick, however all the units are shipped out this week. You are the first person out of hundreds to have an issue, so hopefully they will fix it for you. But sometimes with a big discount like this, and a very popular item that sells more than expected, the only thing you can do is wait.

Robert Sturton did the swap keep the factory JK gas pedal? If so then it will work!!! If not, then you need to order the throttle controller based on what vehicle the gas pedal came from.

Got mine today and got it installed. This is my first go around with a throttle controller. Crazy how the different settings affect the throttle. Going to take some time to get it tweaked right.

Have been pretty disappointed with the get up and go of my 2013 JK manual the past couple of years. I know Jeeps aren't known for racing, and in town with stop and go driving, not blowing off the line is no big deal since I'm usually not in a hurry, but when driving at highway speeds and interstate speeds and trying to pass someone, having to shift down and mash the accelerator to the floor just to get power enough to go around is a big negative! Saw your review of the idrive a couple years ago, but it was more than I wanted to spend at that point. (Checked today, and it's now the same price as the Hike It, but no option to change the color of the face plate, so there's that, along with your review of course, LOL!). Today, I saw this review so I went and checked it out. $199 for the X9, but the discount code JKGEAR still works, so it came to $183.60 which sold me - well, the catch up/intercept mode to pass easier actually sold me, but the price sealed the deal. Thanks for the review and the information and helping get my next summer mod!
My last mod was off of one of your videos JSCAN what an awesome app that is, and the tech support is outstanding from the developer (Highly recommended). It looks like this will be my next mod. Yesterday I got a tracking number that said they shipped on the 26th and delivery was suspose to be today from that tracking number and guess what nothing showed up. Who put a discount code on anything to do with a jeep knowing they didnt have the product in stock? Hell yeah people were going to buy it there are more jeeps on the road then any other car/truck. If they sold 533 over what they had that's $70k and you cant tell me they cant speed up shipping. They may have a good product but that doesnt mean crap if you never get the product. After waiting 3 weeks its finally here. The great USPS kept sending it back to the post office it started at. This wasnt the sellers fault. I didnt have time to install it as I'm headed to jeep jam in myrtle beach.
Sucks that your having a hard time. That tracking info is weird, is the post office able to help at all? I will say that the company was not expecting this many orders at once, and they sold out of sold quick, however all the units are shipped out this week. You are the first person out of hundreds to have an issue, so hopefully they will fix it for you. But sometimes with a big discount like this, and a very popular item that sells more than expected, the only thing you can do is wait.

Hopefully it works with a AEV hemi swapped rig. We will see.
Robert Sturton did the swap keep the factory JK gas pedal? If so then it will work!!! If not, then you need to order the throttle controller based on what vehicle the gas pedal came from.
@@JKGearandGadgets it keeps the factory pedal. I can't wait to try it in race mod. But really want it for the Eco mod. Only getting 11.4 mpg. My lead foot doesn't help much.
