1. I just bought the Shark Venture Pro Jacket, which goes on its first adventure today. The one thing I don't get is the raincoat/quilted liner. Why is it incorporated in one? Especially being from a company in QLD? Surely if it rains in QLD it will be wetter inside the liner than out? Subsequently, I have ditched it for this trip and am carrying my IXON inner raincoat. 2. I used to live in Newcastle and realised that I have not been to Paterson since 2010 and probably the Oak and Watagans since 2011. It bought back memories. I miss the Hunter Valley.
I never ran the inners on my old gear in favour of a jumper that I can ditch if it gets warm, but yeah, I would prefer separate options. In the cold of winter, it could be a nice option since it's comfortable as an additional layer.
Great run Vern, the Watagan's have been hammered recently and is just sloppy! Up around Myall Lakes, check out Whoota Whoota lookout if you're up that way again. I'll certainly visit that campsite you guys stayed at!
U know u getting soft, when u pack up to go get some breakfast, whatever happened to the campsite Bacon eggs. Alright I know it was raining, nice ride, pity about missing the tracks but hey there's always next time, thanks for sharing 🇦🇺 I would have struggled on the tarmac with my Yamaha dt175. 🤣🤘
Still on the buzz from central Aus ride i 100% know the feeling but gee that flat tyre x 2 faaaark thats shit and in the rain ADV right there nice upload mate

I hate the gravel they put in the watagans.

Probably good for 4WDs, but horrible for bikes.
Good for logging trucks, that's about it. 😅
