The Legend S version is untouchable
In advance of this going live, 'No Rain, No Rainbow' has still only been performed live 5 times to date. Legend 1999 (June 2013) was the first time this was played live, next time was at the Budokan in March 2014. Su wasn't entirely happy she was getting the right emotion into her performance, so the song was not included on the first album ... it was only when she saw people crying in the audience that she realised she could effect them that way - the song was included on the second album in 2016.
Her third performance of this song was at Tokyo Dome in 2016 - Su just gets better and better ... the last two times it was played live (so far) were at the Legend S shows in Hiroshima where Su was celebrating her 20th birthday. They played it both nights and the DVD version from Legend S is on the official channel ... it is by far the best version of this song so far and Su makes grown men cry with this one.
Wow... only five times live!! When they DO perform it the crowd must go absolutely crazy!!

@@Grington300 I have to agree. Legend S is the superior version of this song, even better than the studio version. And the fact that you can hear the emotion in her voice and see her eyes welling up shows how powerful her voice is.

OK I've seen your reaction now ... I really enjoyed it and your enthusiasm - and to think Su wasn't happy she was doing the song justice here.
Legend 1999 was celebrating Yui's and Moa's 14th birthdays, Su was 15. If you look up the translated lyrics and read them while she is singing you really will be in tears too.
This is the only time we've seen Yui and Moa at a piano for a BABYMETAL song, I don't know if they were playing or not (almost certainly not I'd think). The crystal piano is another of their tributes (along with the neck braces) to X Japan drummer/pianist Yoshiki who would play one like it in his shows.
The song itself pays homage to X Japan's song 'Endless Rain', written by Yoshiki.
Leda Cygnus, Kami Band Guitarist, wrote the guitar arrangements for this song - one of the very rare known times that a Kami Band member has been involved in the writing and/or recording of one of their songs.

Nice reaction & welcome back & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Normally every BABYMETAL performance is good regardless of the venue and occasion. But for this song I second Grington300 300's opinion. Please see the video "BABYMETAL - NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW LEGEND - S - BAPTISM XX". That is different. And if you react to it, please be careful because NRNR Legend-S version is one of the songs which will mostly get blocked unless you do something to avoid it.
Babymetal power ballads are the best. My list of favorites in order:
1. The One
2. Amore
3. Akatsuki
4. No Rain No Rainbow

Legend S Baptism XX 2017 is by far the best rendition because it is the celebration of Su-Metal's 20th birthday; is her hometown of Hiroshima. The power of her emotions is overwhelming in this redaction. At one point she almost cries, but then the Metal Queen reemerges.
This song is about the bombing of Hiroshima during WWII. She is a descendent of the bombing victims. Also this is the first time Babymetal performed without Yuimetal and guitarist Miko.

It's another Su solo and also a compilation, just so you don't think you are going mad when you see the different stage set-ups. You will see some snippets from the band again and some iconic venues. Tokyo Dome is in there, 55,000 people 2 nights running. That one's easy to spot because Su is about 150 feet above the stage above the HUGE screens. Enjoy.
This song hits my heart btw I ain't no Japanese yet the vocals the rhythm and all makes me feel more comfortable.
I think this vedio is way back. But Legend S Baptism XX in 2017 on her 20th birthday of No rain No rainbow is by far the best among the three I've watched and listen to

The crystal piano for this song at 'Legend 1999' was yet another BABYMETAL reference to X-Japan.
Their drummer/pianist/main songwriter Yoshiki often plays one on stage.
The last line of this song is "An endless rain fills my heart, forever."
That's a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain', although 'No Rain, No Rainbow' is also reminiscent of the X-Japan song 'Silent Jealousy'.

They love to pop out of the ground like cute little prairie dogs. 🙂 I believe the consensus is that Yui and Moa are not actually playing the piano but I kind of hope they are. It doesn't sound like a difficult piece to play and I don't like it much when they fake stuff like that.
They are such talented artists so I’m with you... I really hope it was them playing as its not out of their league... either way this is a great song and I love how its a “rare” song... some bands have these songs they don’t play often so it’s exciting to have seen them perform it... maybe after Covid I’ll get to see them live and be one of the lucky ones to see NRNR

@@jeffschreifels8651 it's following the lore during that concert. Yui and Moa were turned into wax dolls by an evil ppl and Su came to rescue them so they're grateful for that (approximate, haven't watched that live often lol, sorry knowledgeable ppl 👃)

Some advice about BABYMETAL reactions:
tl;dr: Don't use compilations for BABYMETAL, we have a better solution.
Please don't rely solely on videos that are on RUclips (mainly compilations); they're not meant to be used for reactions as the mix of concerts and generally bad editing can make it confusing for those new to BABYMETAL. Also, you won't get the full BABYMETAL experience with these. Some people think they are safer for reactions, but they're not. They may get past the bot initially, but you still stand the chance of your video being blocked later and the possibility of having copyright strikes.

You should note though, that your video will almost definitely be blocked if these are included in your video and that you will need to do what we call "link & sync".
