    It takes a quality, professional player to win with difficulty against this material. That actually says everything about the fairness of these materials. It's similar to Formula 1, where the car and not the driver is the deciding factor.

    The strength of long pips / antispin etc is just the unfamiliarity for the opponent. For the attacking player, defeating antispin / long pips players is part of the journey to developing a great technique.

    Fast light bottom spin long serve vs the anti spin side is the anti spin rubber killer. Since anti spin cannot loop, you likely anticipate a spinless return to the same side the serve came from. From here you have attacking chances putting opponent on defense. If you fail from here, then the opponent is just better than you.
    Alternatively, you heavy side spin long towards anti spin side. The spin of the ball is drastically different the moment after the bounce on opponent's side vs after it regains spin. Anti spin player has 2 options from here, receive the ball close table, which makes it a very difficult return for them because you are serving fast and long. OR antispin player has to stand further back to receive a heavy spin ball. Because anti spin is good at blocking and hitting only, which is great for close table, but from far table most of the offensive characteristics are negated.

      Have you tried attacking a high slow dead ball that comes off anti if you serve light under to it? If you can reliably do it - you're miles better than your opponent. If that was a winning strategy for the inverted player - nobody would ever have a problem with or use anti.

      Depends on the anti, does it have more dead effect or is it more reversal effect? Unless you have great control on your spins it’s not recommended to put any side spins against reversal antis

    Good example but maybe not the best one. You can watch Luka Mladenovic vs. Simon Gauzy (German League 2022/2023). Different use of anti rubber. First thing that people need to realise is ANTI is hard to master if you want to play with that rubber. You need ''soft hands'' and really smart variation of ball depth on the table plus placement. On top of that, you need to switch with ''normal'' rubber on same side if you want to win on high level... This is a lot of training but is more fun (and risky) to play.

      Agree, but it is important to stress thta these are not "classic' ANTI, these are GLOSS ANTI (I use Gloss Anti aslo).. Classic antias are easy for you and easy for your opponets, Gloss antis are difficult for you and difficult for your oppenent.

      I tried to find details about the furnitures that are used for the T1 but didn't find any information. Neither for the three wood layers nor which kind of carbon was used. Schlager Carbon uses 2 Tamca T-5000, Americain Hinoki outer layers and Kiri as the core. It is similar to the Primorac Carbon but every layer is a bit thicker. Regarding speed SC > Gergely 21 > Primo Carbon. In case somebody has a list of the layers the T1 uses we can compare. Thickness and dimensions seem to be the same with 7.4mm, but the weight is lower than SC (95g +/-).

    Do you know what short pips is on Yuan's forehand currently? Your blog says Spectol Speed, but now that TSP has been absorbed by Victas, I imagine she switched to Victas S1 or something related. Unless she bought a whole stash of Spectol before they disappeared.

      Afaik it was Amelie who reached WTT Feeder Dusseldorf finals versus Elizabet Abraamian and lost 3:4 to finish as silver medal. It happened last year 2022 on January, 20th. Amelie was already 3:1 sets in the lead. Unfortunately Elizabet cannot participate in international competitions of ITTF since then because of the stupid ban of Russian players.

A végeredmény 3x 11:0 lenne.

    Amelie не занимает лидирующих позиций в рейтинге, именно ее набор инвентаря и есть этому причиной, каждый игрок выбирает себе инвентарь по своим возможностям, как физическим, так и ментальным.

      This is a very disrespectful comment, but I'm not surprised about it at all because unfortunately the sort of attitude displayed in your comment has become normal in our sport.
      1. Womens bodies should not be commented, even not by internet-rambos.
      2. In Amelies case - to correct you - it's genetically and not because of food (her sister was 1. german national team player with same body type)
      3. Maybe you should start practising table tennis instead of anonymously hating on athletes on the internet.

    • @alk672
      @alk672 8 месяцев назад +9

      @@lenchevI wasn't going for respectful, I was going for direct. The number of likes on my comment tells me it was at least somewhat appreciated. I reserve the right to comment on anything, including women's bodies. Whether it's genetics is irrelevant, that wasn't the point. The point is that you can be one tenth as athletic as your opponent and still maintain an equal game of table tennis if you have anti. I do practice table tennis, and it's the anti I hate, not the players. I hate it when at every tournament I go to there are people who have put in one tenth of practice time and one hundredth of physicality into the game beating inverted players.
