long pips players basically forces inverted players to battle with themselves: to battle with their own muscle memory and reaction from years of training. IMO it's cheap and desperate way to try to win the game.

Adopting chinese style, the results will never be possible, since you cannot beat them in their own game, since last 20+ years womens TT is all about China. This different approach, atleast in short to middle time horizon, promises to deliver results and hopefully expand the base of people playing TT in India and its popularity. Once there are more Indian players at the grassroot level, definetly we will have more verity of styles coming up on the professional circuit as well
Long pimple and smooth rubbers are using different techniques. You said LP is annoying because you should improve your good technique when playing vs LP.
Well I also have long pimple racket so if you want to play against long pimple racket you have to have patience a great amount of patience because it slows down the ball so good so mainly people try to do the backing top spin or the foreign top speed but they sometimes fail because the ball slows down. So yeah if you want to play against it you have to have patience
Fun fact: china manufactures a ton of long pips and I m sure a million chinese use them, but still they say the top Chinese are not used to pips. Now they had to bring deng yaping for olympics practice.
