I just recently purchased the 2017 Audi S6 and i am very happy! I traded my 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 and while they are completely different cars...I was ready to move to something a little more grown up. Love my new S6 and may be hooked on Audi for life!

Greetings from the UK! Nice review you gave, the S6 looks awesome to drive. I've just ordered a 2.0 tdi ultra saloon in S-Line trim with a technology pack. I currently own the pre - facelift model and as you said, it is not a revolution but it didn't need to be. Classic styling and a great interior.
Excellent review Thomas. For me in the UK with our speed limits I would go for the A6 3.0 TDI. With the S6 I would not be able to keep my driving licence.

I just picked up my A6 competition..... It's basically an S6 with the V6 engine... Amazing success.... Also has the flat bottom steering and sport differential 😀😀😀

Sebbo Naut Im Konfigurator sind die Farben immer völlig verfälscht, ich verstehe das auch nicht, warum die Hersteller das alle so machen. Ist zwar aufwändiger, aber muss doch eigentlich im Budget liegen, die Autos mal "real" zu fotografieren in jeder Farbe. Meine Meinung. Denn mit diesen computergenerierten Farben ist niemandem geholfen
Great review, I like the new full LED light system, it gives a sharper look to the car. It is sad that neither the A6 Avant nor the full LED light system are available in Canada. I also like the growl of the V8 engine, but I assume that fuel consumption should be in the neighborhood of 14-15 lt/km.

Great review. But, I got to say I do not like this new facelift at all. My main issue is with the new head lamp design as I much prefer pre-facelift version.
Why no comparison of the S6 to the RS6? The RS6 is obviously going to be much faster and quicker, but what about the actual driving dynamics between the two; steering response, ride quality, braking, etc.? I want to upgrade from our S4 to an S6. Since we don't get the RS6 here in the States (and I don't like station wagons), I'm curious about what we're missing out on by not having access to the RS6.
Coming up with nothing on your channel with a direct comparison of the two in the same video other than the Audi B-roll footage of the RS, S, and A, and that video has no commentary.

Arnel Mendoza You're welcome! Let's see, the previous generations of the A6 were around for 7 and 8 years. This generation is underway since 2011. So I suppose the new generation will come 2017 or 2018. They wouldnt have done the facelift now if there would be a new generation soon. Plus even "all-new" cars are also not magic but just a new car where not everything has really changed. I dont think there is a reason not to buy the car now, the most important thing is that you get one with all the features you want to have.

Autogefühl indeed I have, but I'm not sure. on the one hand, the S6 has been out longer, so hopefully most of any gremlins have been sorted which is not necessarily something one can say of a new vehicle. however, the S4 is a slightly smaller car, so is possibly dynamically superior. Not that I have proof.
Enjoyed your review. I would be more inclined to favor the A6 because I still have a need for more of a family car. I'm curious about how you feel the A6 face lift compares to the 2015 Volvo S60 ts utilizing both tibo and supercharger technology. Also, you didn't cover much of the safety technologies. CampingShadowComplex An usual life cycle is at 7 years nowadays. Both A6 and A7 are from 2010 bascially, so 2017 should work. But until you can buy it and maybe get a hardly used car or whatever, it will take some time. Also depending on your market. Being in the US, you have to wait half a year longer. I would say: Its not always good to buy the all-new cars in the first year, quite often it can be a good pick to buy a well developed car - unless you totally disagree with something on the old one (e.g. design) and love the new one or smth.
I have been waiting to buy an A6 for few months, since I heard that the facelift is coming. I live in the USA, and I have heard that it will not be coming in the market here anytime soon. Is that True? Do you have any knowledge on when it would be available in the US market? If it's going to be too long, I will have to go for the 528i, which is not my first preference.

Audi A6 C6 CVT gearbox failed unexpectedly. Lesson Learnt - German cars are unreliable, expensive and not worth their market value. For the price of a new CVT or repairs, I bought a Japanese car and can bet the house it will outperform and return a better return on investment.
I think a Spanish speaking person will have a lot of issues understanding this. Anyway, the presentation was fantastic. Like Top Gear used to do it, now Top Gear is a mere a circus. The new shape will appear after 2017 so maybe mid 2018 there would be new shape for a6 a7 a8 more likely and there would be new a4 maybe next year.

rajashekhargarimilla Hi! Sorry this will take a while until we have the A6 again. Start of sales in the US is usually a couple of month after the European one. Would expect spring 2015 but you should ask your local dealer.

hey, both are quiet, but A6 is one segment above and they have more money for that, so A6 is even quieter

Passat looks to be the better option but i would go for the 3.0tdi a4 or the S4 if i had the money

A6 better for a daily driver. Newer 3.0 horsepower is been increased, v8 discontinued. Not needed

Warum in englisch?!?!? Und nicht in deutsch??? Es gibt keinen einzigen guten Test, der den A6 genau beschreibt. Habe schon alles geguckt, und keins davon war gut! In Zukunft kannst du ja die Tests in 2 Sprachen machen.
Wir arbeiten schon 24/7 mit 10 Leuten, doppelt produzieren ist zeitlich nicht möglich, und will auch niemand bezahlen. Das ginge nur, wenn genügend deutsche monatlich was spenden wollen würden dafür. Audi A6 C6 CVT gearbox failed unexpectedly. Lesson Learnt - German cars are unreliable, expensive and not worth their market value. For the price of a new CVT or repairs, I bought a Japanese car and can bet the house it will outperform and return a better return on investment.
Such an enormous German accent, wouldn't it be better to do those presentations in German with English subtitles?

I think a Spanish speaking person will have a lot of issues understanding this. Anyway, the presentation was fantastic. Like Top Gear used to do it, now Top Gear is a mere a circus. Wir verstehen alles, aber leute die als zweite Sprache English haben, werden Probleme empfinden. Il y en a beaucoup de Francophones qui parlent Anglais dans une façon tout à fait differente, avec des intonations différemment diffusées. Het is maar hoe je het bekijkt, uiteraard.
John Callaghan hehe. Well usually we get the feedback that our english is better to understand because we are _not_ native speakers. I even got feedback from India that people are learning english by our videos ;-)
