One more great review from Thomas. I'm a Jaguar Land Rover lover, but can't deny the outstanding quality from Audi, it just looks amazing. Keep up the great work Autogefühl!
Great review. Someone has been improving his editing skills, to the point that it gets a bit psychedelic sometimes XD. The quality of the images of the "driving" part is really excellent. Are this shots yours? Anyway, if not, you really fit them very well. The new A4 has an incredible interior, for me the best in the segment. With all the equipment, the central console looks stunning. BTW, you should watch some minor mistakes that you make when you talk about some very specific feature and the camera doesn't catches very well, like in 15:55 . Overall, as other people have pointed out, the quality of your videos is really "premium segment".
Great review as always! It's really nice to see that the videos are getting better and better when it comes to filming and editing 👍 Many thanks to you and the camera man Thomas!
Great Review ! I'm starting to appreciate the benefits of the Estate / Wagon ver. of the A4 and other vehicles ! I'm impressed with the over all experience and driving impressions ! Thanks Joe
I have seen lot of reviews in the net. But Autogefuhl is by far one of the best if not the best one. Very well done Thomas:) I think I bought mine Q5 too early and should have waited for this new A4. I had A4 Allroad and it was already great car. This new A4 looks perfect in all details
Personally, I think this new A4 saloon/avant could well be the best all rounder in it's class, what with it's new ride comfort quality, more refined engine, better suppressed wind noise and better handling than the previous A4. Also like the new headlights and wider grill, very subtle yet looks much better. Thanks for the video, it was good.
I really enjoyed your review of the new A4 Thomas. What a good looking car, very upper class, as you said. Every detail inside and out looks so well thought through. I would love to move from my 2013 Škoda RS kombi TFSI (bought in part because of your review of that model) to the A4 if I can. Great to see such a well produced review on the great Autogefuhl channel. Congratulations! Can you say where the sweeping road and the vineyard towards the end of the film is?
Good review. Must have been nice to drive around that part of France this time of year. Audi did a beautiful job on this new A4. The Avant Quattro is definitely the way to go.
Nice review, Thomas! Many thanks for your impressions and those high class videos! I really love them. How would you rate the driving experience (suspension and steering) and the sound isolation in comparison to the A6 facelift which you tested a few month ago? And one suggestion for future reviews, if possible: It would be nice to see the interior with all the ambience illumination in a dark environment. Thanks Chris
+Christian Haneke hey Chris, we tend to do that from time to time if we have the car for a longer period of time where it is also possible to show some dark stuff. You ll see it at the next Audi S8 Plus review for example :) About A6 vs A4, hard to say... the A4 insulation is really awesome so you wont ever moan about it
Very nice looking video and presentation. That interior is gorgeous! Puts my 2014 335i Msport to shame. However, the exterior is nice but perhaps a little too conservative for me. Maybe the S4 will be better.
This is a great review, and you have shown some nice details that I haven't seen in others. You ask what we think of this car...well, I've just ordered one so I think you can draw your own conclusion from that! :) I think their interior design is fantastic, much more fresh and modern than the BMWs. I'm really looking forward to getting my new A4 - thanks for giving me a nice preview!
Salut, Thomas! For me, the Kombi over the sedan in this exact trim. I love the simplistic, softer lines of this design with the practicality of the rear configuration. I like the look of this body style as it seems to be slicing through the air even when standing still. Analog cluster over the virtual cockpit any day pour moi. Interior looks excellent and very well made. I too love the feel and clicking sound of well made components. Can you please do me a favour? See if you can pull the outside door handle only with your fingertips. That's how I open my (bimmer) door so as not to get fingernail scratches in the concave area behind the handle. Drives my wife insane! But hey - my paint is perfect! Like new. Merci, Thomas! Great review.
Thomas, thank you for this review, it was excellent. Your car reviews really are the best available, in my opinion. I would certainly choose the A4 Avant (I prefer the term Tourer, rather than Station Wagon, Estate or Kombi - but it's not up to me), over the Saloon. The quality is superb. Mercedes, BMW and (shudder) Jaguar do not come close. If I couln't go for the A4 Avant, I'd rather have the new Passat than the Mercedes C Klasse, BMW 3 Series, but in the saloon version because this looks so much nicer than the Kombi. Thanks again and keep up the exceptional work Thomas!
+Jacob danassis New MB C-class is also perfection :) But in both cases you'll need to invest around 10K extra to get it that fancy, the base model interiors are a completely different animal ... And I noticed the Hankook tires; MB has them as well now (and they even test fine compared to 'classic' AAA-brands), who would have thought that a couple of years back ...
El Dawwg oh yes I can agree completely Well the base cclass model is decent My friend owns it so he still finds it luxurious Tires are also much better on both I remember all the rwd C class tires were going bald spot.
Great Review Thomas, as always. I would go with the Sedan up to now. But I think that will change when the S4 Avant is coming out. Looking forward to that :)
I feel like the new locations for the cup holders and MMI dial seem less practical than in the previous model; cup holders too far forward and the MMI dial intruded on by the large gear shift.
Great, comprehensive review as usual Thomas! Quuck question; do you know what Audi call that red? Tango, Matador, Misano, something else? The latter isn't available in the UK right now, but I'm sure that doesn't stop them using it for review cars...
Nice new design! Wish automakers would go away from the rear sloping. It takes away from cargo space and headroom. Like the rectangular opening of the cargo area. A real spare tire! Does the front passenger seat fold flat allowing for longer cargo items? The new navigation screen is huge! Whom needs a system that hides the screen?? Just another thing to break. As always, Audi is staying one step ahead of the competition. The exterior design is nice, but the new electronics, insulation, and thicker windows/windshield take it to the next level.
Thank you Thomas. I am really sold on the A4 Avant. Not quite sure if someone really needs the S4 variant with the V6 engine. To me the 2.0 tfsi should be more than adequate. Please comment about your view on this, Thomas. And oh, you got me as a subscriber. Keep the good work coming.
Thomas another great review!, what do you think is the better choice for regional and highway driving plus city areas where space is not an issue, A4, A6, Passat or Superb?
+Scott Thompson Good question. Where space is not an issue, A6 then. Furthermore, we ll soon deliver an Autogefuehl ÜBER test with Passat vs Superb vs Mazda6 !
Hi, Thank you for putting effort in to such a nice review!! I just ordered myself the new A4 Avant, with S Line interior and exterior, now the interior sport package comes with sport suspension (20mm lower than dynamic suspension) here I need your advice, I was just wondering if you have experience with this suspension is it to stiff and you feel all the bumps?? If I understand right, to be able to have an influence on suspension behavior, you need the optional adaptive dampers, is it really a must to have? If you only have the drive select this will not influence your suspension without adaptive dampers.... Thank you for advice!
+Stjepan Schtefek Good question. I guess that depends on your garage/parking space. If space wouldnt matter, A6. As soon as you need parking spots in the city or whereever, the A4 is the better choice. Plus it is more agile. On the other hand, the A6 has more sovereignty in driving. The new A4 should be the overall better mix.
Great review, the question is, do I pay the extra, and get a mid spec A4 Avant, or do I spend less and get all the goodies and slightly more space for the Superb Estate, your thoughts? Many thanks
+Si Mepstead thanks! The A4 Avant is a superb car, but I would take the Superb as it offers more car for the money. Superb in a middle trim level is one of THE car-to-advise on my list atm :)
Hi really enjoy your car reviews. I currently have an Audi A4 SE TECHNIC TFSI . about 4 years old with leather seats. I have always found the ride very uncomfortable. Roads here in the UK full of potholes and humps. I think it is partly because of the leather seats and partly the tyre size R18. So my next car I want comfort.. you said in your Audi A4 Avant review it had a comfortable drive? Is that correct?
Strange, there are two different cars in this review, one has double exhaust and the second single exhaust, but it is not mentioned this anywhere in the video.
the design lacks emotion, but the quality and luxury ride still make it a tempting car. I also heard the 190hp engine is more fuel efficient than the 140hp 1.4 from VAG.
Hi Thomas I have a question, why are Audi not giving LED lights as standard with the S-Line A4 models this time? Every other S-Line model in the lineup gets LED (rears) as standard and in A6 you get front and rear LEDs with S-Line, would love to know because it's a little disappointing.
Can't believe this doesn't have more views. great video! Had one question though, the shift stick, does it have a little screen on it showing what gear/mode it's in? It seems at 16:00 like that is the case, can anyone confirm that?
I just love the new Audi A4. Do you know when Audi will make a new Audi A5? Light question: The indicators that flashes. if you go for normal LED light, will the indicators still have this rolling flash thing? Sorry about my english, I danish, so it's not my main language :-) Great review.... As always /Flemming
+Flemming Andersen The A5 is linked to the A4 because it is a derivate. So that might happen not too far from now, but we dont have any information yet when exactly it could come.
Have to pick a new Company car next month (yeah 1st world probkems) and can't decide between the BMW 3 touring, Audi A4 avant or even the Mercedes CLA shooting brake. (The new A4 might fall out of budget, because I hear it's a bit more expensive than the old one? ). What would you get? Or maybe find a stock car of the previous A4 version, as there will be some discounts now that new A4 is out? Main criteria: when I drive 1300 km , not being dead tired/ broken when I arrive at the destination :-) , so the ride should be comfy
+NesS0007 new A4 would be really good for you, no question. But indeed it is still quite expensive and you get massive discounts atm for still existing old A4 and also A5... look out for that maybe. And compare leasing prices if you take it as a company car. Looking at the cars itself, the new A4 is surely the best out of the 3 mentioned.
Autogefühl thanks Thomas :-) I can answer yes to both questions. That’s the problem. So if I must live with either bad parking or lessor space. I’m 190 cm and have a 6m old daughter with need for carrying stuff. Actually I think a good series for you could be comparisons of classes. VW golf variant vs Passat. A4 vs a6 etc because the “do I really need a x car” is something all buyers ask themselves. The Passat has it all but is a bit boring and sensible. So is the driving experience really that much better in a6 vs a4? Do I need the space? Is premium still premium? Etc
Hi, have been viewing a lot of your reviews. I will be buying a new car medio 2016 and need to decide now (leasing). Now I am driving a A5 3.0 TDI quattro S-tronic with sports differential. I am torn between a Mercedes 450 AMG 4-matic, Audi A4 3.0 TDI quattro tiptronie avant or S4 avant, BMW Alpina D3 or B3 allured touring. You drove most of them. Looking only to driving and handling, how would you compare them and rate them? Thanks Peter
+nieuwe auto hey Peter, so you have also watched the 450AMG review, didnt you? The A4 has better build quality, the suspension is more comfortable. It has more space. The Benz looks better imho. Both have very good handling, steering in the A4 is a lil more direct. 450 AMG will be sportier than A4 3.0 TDI, that should rather be compared to S4. Hope that already helped a bit!
+Autogefühl Yes I did watch the 450AMG video. Also a under the impression the 45OAMG is sportier. I have driven the alpina B3 allured, was also very impressed by that. Any idea how it compares? Thanks you.
You say that you drive the best suspension in the segment. Is there a big difference bettween A4 adaptive comfort suspension and air-suspension of C-class;
omg ! u was in my region, wish i could come say hi :) u went close to aix en provence too right? i was in the french alps for 10days without internet and now im gonna watch all of ur vid! i think im not going to wait for the megane 4 the more i see online, the more i dont like that much! so my pickup will be A3 or G7, its still bit tuff to decide! i prefer the interior of audi and it said its less noisy inside. i will go maybe for an used car but 2015 and not much kms with audi sline or G7 rline. I feel like i will be happy with both cars at the end of the day, which one would u pick? since u 186cm and im 183 u felt "good inside" while driving? i just sit on a A3 but couldn't drive it. i know the facelift of the A3 will be in 2016 with the virtual cockpit but dont wanna wait 1 year more specially if they put the same screen of the A4 :) take care! hope u had quality sunny time in Provence :)
+1111italia1111 great catch up on all the videos =) yeah very nice region you have there. We will have a lot of Renault stuff coming up (previews and reviews) stay tuned for that as well!
Never thought I'd say this, but A4's interior makes the C class interior look ugly in comparison. So perfect, best interior in the segment by far, and better than A6. It's just a shame that the middle screen is not retractable like in the A6.
Great value today for this car, the pinnacle of refinemebt and ergonomy. The today-only display-no buttons cars suck. And for used, they value much more than others...they get close to Skoda, for similar models.
The virtual cockpit display will loose power by time as each pixel "wears off", after some years the light it emits will be more than halved and that makes a considerable difference in daylight. VAG doesn't operate with pixel guarantee so your basically on your own there. Also, at night it's very bright, making it quite annoying and harsh on the eyes and there's no adjuster. I would choose the traditional analogue display.
Of course there is an adjuster for the display brightness. You find it in the same place where its predecessors used to be… oh well, you have actually to sit in an Audi in order to find it. Seems like one had no clue what he or she is writing about. RTFM!
The production value of Autogefuhl videos just keep getting better and better.
+James Rothwell thanks James!
+James Rothwell Agree .. very friendly and professional in the same time !
James Rothwell totally agree!
Best looking interior i have ever seen.
Thats actually pretty sad on your part
Best car reviews on RUclips! Love your attention to detail. Keep up the good work!
+Elias Sørensen tak Elias!
Finally a fast infotainment hardware! Also the interior is very impressive. VW just knows how to create a premium car.
One more great review from Thomas. I'm a Jaguar Land Rover lover, but can't deny the outstanding quality from Audi, it just looks amazing.
Keep up the great work Autogefühl!
seriously well made review, the new car completely deserves it
+jh5kl thanks!

+Carlos Ellenberg thanks so much, spread the word for us!
im still waitting for the new Audi A5!!!!
+100vasiliy it seriously needs an update, and with the momentum Audi is on, i think the next a5 is going to be a beast :)
Awesome review, felt like I went to a dealer. You are one of my favourite reviewers, I enjoy how you articulate yourself and your accent is cool.
+Jose Taveras gracias jose!
If Audi built a TV presenter it would look like Thomas. Everything about these reviews is just classy
highly appreciated, hope you re subbed to both our channels! :)
Great review as always! It's really nice to see that the videos are getting better and better when it comes to filming and editing 👍 Many thanks to you and the camera man Thomas!
+Angus MacGyver thanks m8 !
Great Review ! I'm starting to appreciate the benefits of the Estate / Wagon ver. of the A4 and other vehicles ! I'm impressed with the over all experience and driving impressions !

Don’t mention the war. Love his accent. Great review, I am gonna drive one within a couple of weeks.
thanks, enjoy ;)
love your reviews! and props to the cameraman as well :)
Thx 4 the feedback!
I really appreciate these being in English. I know it would be so much easier not to but it’s great for me
🙏🙌
I'd have the avant. I just love the profile of it over the sedan.
Can you say where the sweeping road and the vineyard towards the end of the film is?
thanks Tony! I dont quite remember sorry
Awesome review man! I have a 2015 a3 and this looks like my next car, audi interior quality is top notch.
High quality review. Tomas just anticipate my questions. Want this car. Thank you.
+aeshuva thanks !
Good review. Must have been nice to drive around that part of France this time of year. Audi did a beautiful job on this new A4. The Avant Quattro is definitely the way to go.
+Yippie yeah so beautiful there!
Great review! Simple and focused on the subject. Also like your english with german accent. Have you got any polish roots coz your surname sound like?
+Rafael Dude Thanks ! Yeah those are polish roots!
Great review, by far the best I've seen in a good while!
+VioletGiraffe thanks m8 !
Every time you rewiew a car... I wanna buy it.
So... good job :)
+Jok Ker haha =) that might be very expensive for you :)
Oh yes..:D
Nice review, Thomas! Many thanks for your impressions and those high class videos! I really love them.
How would you rate the driving experience (suspension and steering) and the sound isolation in comparison to the A6 facelift which you tested a few month ago?
And one suggestion for future reviews, if possible: It would be nice to see the interior with all the ambience illumination in a dark environment.
Thanks
Chris
+Christian Haneke hey Chris, we tend to do that from time to time if we have the car for a longer period of time where it is also possible to show some dark stuff. You ll see it at the next Audi S8 Plus review for example :) About A6 vs A4, hard to say... the A4 insulation is really awesome so you wont ever moan about it
such a profesionally done review,subscribed!
German makes it happen and we watch it
Very nice looking video and presentation. That interior is gorgeous! Puts my 2014 335i Msport to shame. However, the exterior is nice but perhaps a little too conservative for me. Maybe the S4 will be better.
+oneaburns thanks!
The kombi format is by far the most practical yet sporting vehicle on the road. Unfortunately few will import their versions to the US.
thanks for your greeting for french viewers. i m one of them fan of your channel.
really nice and informative review! great job Thomas! Well done!
+Vyacheslav Lobintsev you re welcome !

Great review.
+Mario Dalla Riva oh wow interesting aspect with the door handles :) So thats then about how firm the door handles are?
+Autogefühl Hi Thomas.
Yes, I'd like to know if the Audi handle with the swing up pivot mechanism can be pulled easily.
Thanks!
+Mario Dalla Riva ahh i see. Will take a look into that next time
Thomas, thank you for this review, it was excellent. Your car reviews really are the best available, in my opinion.

Very nice review guys! handsome lookin car!
+eggbirdtherooster thanks !
very nice steering wheel!!!
Great review Thomas! I would say the Matrix LED headlights are a good pick because as far as I know they are service free.
+Tuukka Varjoranta thanks! interesting aspect
Great to see Audi now using the slim bezel rear view mirrors!
+Zachary Ong So thats you :)
Excellent car and of course excellent work as always,Thomas
+Kiriakos Gialias thanks m8 !
Thanks, I really enjoy watching your videos, thanks!

Changing between 18 and 19 inch wheels (probably different cars) is funny. Thinking about the 19” wheels for mine, but have to think it through
Thanks Thomas for another great review !!! When are you going to make the review for the new A4 Allroad? What is your opinion about it?
+ernestcalvet we have short one, search auotgefuehl a4 allroad
Hi, I was wondering if you tried the diesel version 2liter with 190hp as well to compare between diesel and benzin ? Thank you for this test drive

+David Jenkins thanks David ! That colour should be in the UK ... Tango red, well comes closest to it. But indeed it might be not the very exact one
Nice new design! Wish automakers would go away from the rear sloping. It takes away from cargo space and headroom. Like the rectangular opening of the cargo area. A real spare tire! +gbriank1 oh good point with that front seat. We ll try it next time!
Great review guys
How would you compare the ride, handling, comfort and insulation of cabin to the Skoda Superb. Is it worth the premium price for the A4?
Both cars are a great pick. A4 has the more refined interior, and is more silent. But Superb is already at a great level and offers more space
Thanks team, good video :)
+Erkan Koprulu (y)
Good, in your opinion which vehicle is quieter: this A4 or the new Arteon? Both have the soundproofing package. Thank you
hm, there are for sure both very quiet. Its more a question of if you want that estate or the fastback
The sedan looks smoother but a wagon is more practical so I'd prefer the wagon/avant version.
+Sonny Njoo indeed
Thank you Thomas. I am really sold on the A4 Avant. Not quite sure if someone really needs the S4 variant with the V6 engine. To me the 2.0 tfsi should be more than adequate.

If you only have the drive select this will not influence your suspension without adaptive dampers....
Thank you for advice!
+Rehon Conex thanks! All A4 suspensions are very comfortable, no matter of the setup. Its just nuances in difference
great job again Thomas.
I think you confused the loading height level, you said 36cm... most likely 63?
+sebxx Thanks! Oh yeah, thats a speaking typo - indeed 63 :)
Excellent review, what would you choose if had the opportunity, fully loaded Audi A4 Avant or Audi A6 Avant with little or middle equipment?
go for the A6 in my opinion. I have had both and would not go back to the smaller car as its just not in the same league
+Stjepan Schtefek a6 should have better standard equipment
+Stjepan Schtefek fully loaded A4
+Stjepan Schtefek Good question.
Want to see comparison between A4 Avant, V60 and 3 series Touring :)
The Passat has a MQB platform from Golf with transversal engines. The A4 has a MLB platform with longitudinal engines.
+Elmediterraneo Manifico indeed - that's what I said ?
What ah car i really like Audi's and this advant is just the business ,i can't wait to see the RS

Hankook tires from the factory? Not sure if you I would be happy with that.
I noticed that Tsint. I suppose Audi must have decided they suit this model.
Thanks Terry!
So my recommendation for that would be: a) fabric seats, b) adaptive comfortable suspension extra, c) 17" rims
:)
Can you please do a full review of the Allroad version of the A4 aswell?
+Arvid Nordh yes we will soon
Sehr gute Vorstellung, ich würde den Avant nehmen
Strange, there are two different cars in this review, one has double exhaust and the second single exhaust, but it is not mentioned this anywhere in the video.
different engine for some beauty shots
the design lacks emotion, but the quality and luxury ride still make it a tempting car.
+Conor Sullivan because they want to make more money with extras
+Autogefühl I suppose it really is as simple as that! Thanks for the reply :)
I love the accent!
Can't believe this doesn't have more views. great video!
Had one question though, the shift stick, does it have a little screen on it showing what gear/mode it's in? It seems at 16:00 like that is the case, can anyone confirm that?
+hermest99 thanks!
+hermest99 and to your question, you mean that "P" sign? That is only reserved for P indeed and not for gear numbers
***** thanks for the response! would have been a really cool detail to have if it had shown gears, too bad.
+hermest99 you see the gear count in the instruments I think
Great review as always.
When cornering fast does it under-steer or over-steer?
Love the details deep dive of your reviews.
Thanks.
I just love the new Audi A4.
Do you know when Audi will make a new Audi A5?
Light question:
The indicators that flashes. if you go for normal LED light, will the indicators still have this rolling flash thing?
Sorry about my english, I danish, so it's not my main language :-)
Great review.... As always
/Flemming
+Flemming Andersen The A5 is linked to the A4 because it is a derivate. So that might happen not too far from now, but we dont have any information yet when exactly it could come.
+Flemming Andersen I asked Audi about this and they said maybe +/- 18 months for the new A5.
+Jonathan Oakey Thanks a lot Jonathan. What car do you have? Or is that a secret ;-)
Flemming Andersen I currently have an Alfa Romeo Giulietta but I have an A4 Avant on order :)
Have to pick a new Company car next month (yeah 1st world probkems) and
can't decide between the BMW 3 touring, Audi A4 avant or even the Mercedes CLA shooting brake.
Looking at the cars itself, the new A4 is surely the best out of the 3 mentioned.
how is the weight distribution f/r?
Hi Thomas. Used A6 Avant 2012/ 2015 or new a4 Avant with the basic tech and virtual cockpit? Size vs new...
Do u need the space inside? And does the length/Width annoy u due to parking/narrow streets etc? Those would be my questions:)
Thanks
Peter
+nieuwe auto hey Peter, so you have also watched the 450AMG review, didnt you? The A4 has better build quality, the suspension is more comfortable. It has more space. The Benz looks better imho. Both have very good handling, steering in the A4 is a lil more direct. 450 AMG will be sportier than A4 3.0 TDI, that should rather be compared to S4. Hope that already helped a bit!
+Autogefühl
Yes I did watch the 450AMG video. Also a under the impression the 45OAMG is sportier.
I have driven the alpina B3 allured, was also very impressed by that. Any idea how it compares?
Thanks you.
You say that you drive the best suspension in the segment. Is there a big difference bettween A4 adaptive comfort suspension and air-suspension of C-class;
the adaptive one feels like an air suspension a bit, but the air suspension would be better for a more "airy" ride ;)
omg ! u was in my region, wish i could come say hi :) u went close to aix en provence too right?
i was in the french alps for 10days without internet and now im gonna watch all of ur vid!
i think im not going to wait for the megane 4 the more i see online, the more i dont like that much!
so my pickup will be A3 or G7, its still bit tuff to decide! i prefer the interior of audi and it said its less noisy inside.
i will go maybe for an used car but 2015 and not much kms with audi sline or G7 rline.
I feel like i will be happy with both cars at the end of the day, which one would u pick?
since u 186cm and im 183 u felt "good inside" while driving? i just sit on a A3 but couldn't drive it.
i know the facelift of the A3 will be in 2016 with the virtual cockpit but dont wanna wait 1 year more specially if they put the same screen of the A4 :)
take care! hope u had quality sunny time in Provence :)
Indeed
RTFM!
Hello Thomas, nice review, thank you. Will you make a review of A4 Alltrack as well?
hey m8! Yes we ll deliver u that in december!
Heard at VAG: "Fuck! We forgot to make the infoscreen slide-in function. Now people are forced to having it elevated on the console ALL the time."
do you recommend Audi a4 or bmw 320d ?
+zohaib mussadiq A4 if interior is important to you
