    ok, for whatever reason i thought it full on locked the wheel up and i was so confused on how that’s possible, but now i see it’s just that rod extension that makes your turn radius super restricted

      You are not alone. For some reason I could never understand how that thing protected anything and I eventually settled on it being magic and once locked it made it so the car couldn’t even be started let alone steered 😅

    you also have to install the club correctly. You need to put in through the top half with the lock facing the clusters, this way theives can't drill the lock and picking it would be harder. They have have to saw through it which would take a considerable amount of more time.

    • @homeFall1
      @homeFall1 3 года назад

      @@lordofthestings The small amount of steel inside the padding on the wheel will most likely be softer steal and much smaller diameter than the hardened locking rod of the club... That said a ramset will shatter the locking bar so... Only keeps the slightly dishonest people honest.

      Not everyone will have one. The main purpose of these kinds of things is just to act as a layer of security to deter people from stealing the car to begin with. Why steal this one when others are easier to steal. Other layers of security are also necessary too.

    • @NitroTurtle9000
      @NitroTurtle9000 Год назад +8

      The main purpose isn't to stop the thief, it's to inconvenience them so much that they say "fuck this car" and move on. If you have to spend 60 seconds cutting through hardened steel, that's a lot of effort and noise you're making. Back in the day when people had actual morals a complete stranger could've stopped the thief if you weren't around, and plus back in the day battery powered cut off wheels weren't commonly sold at your local home Depot lol

    I'm just curious if modern cars have any metal in the steering wheel, or if it's just a matter of cutting through plastic and vinyl? I bet there's no metal to make them safer in the event of an accident, but a thief could zip through that quickly. I like the brake pedal lock better.

He said when he was done with the car he always wrecked it as many times as he could so the owner would be without a car .
