ok, for whatever reason i thought it full on locked the wheel up and i was so confused on how that’s possible, but now i see it’s just that rod extension that makes your turn radius super restricted
You are not alone. For some reason I could never understand how that thing protected anything and I eventually settled on it being magic and once locked it made it so the car couldn’t even be started let alone steered 😅
Love it! I have a Kia and I just got it back after 7 months! I made sure to have a club the day I drove it out of the lot! It definitely helps to see this work!
I just got my Hyundai back after 3 months. It took 2 months to get an appt at the dealership and they had my car for 4 weeks. Ridiculous. I have a club on my car at all times now.
you also have to install the club correctly. You need to put in through the top half with the lock facing the clusters, this way theives can't drill the lock and picking it would be harder. They have have to saw through it which would take a considerable amount of more time.
Carol Bailey it’s a circle. No matter which way u put it on it’s gonna be the same. Unless the wheel is turned all the way and the club is put up towards the windshield if that’s what ur saying.
@@catpop9 Unless you put it up by the corner of the windshield, then the door doesn't matter any longer. Depends on the model tho probably if you can put it up there 😁
Tip,it,s best to turn your steering wheel all the way to one side or the other full stop before installing the club, that way they can not drive in a straight line, just a circle 👍
These are great for stopping teens looking to take your car for a joyride but if you live in an area with organized crime looking to pick your car apart for parts they will just cut threw the steering wheel and pull the club off.
But Not Today because the club is made out of stainless steel and your steering wheel is made out of some sort of foam material I think. It’s way easier to cut through the steering wheel
@@lordofthestings The small amount of steel inside the padding on the wheel will most likely be softer steal and much smaller diameter than the hardened locking rod of the club... That said a ramset will shatter the locking bar so... Only keeps the slightly dishonest people honest.
I like putting the long end right over the seat into the door so in order to turn they have to open the door and show everyone they they're Steeling the car 😂
Not everyone will have one. The main purpose of these kinds of things is just to act as a layer of security to deter people from stealing the car to begin with. Why steal this one when others are easier to steal. Other layers of security are also necessary too.
The main purpose isn't to stop the thief, it's to inconvenience them so much that they say "fuck this car" and move on. If you have to spend 60 seconds cutting through hardened steel, that's a lot of effort and noise you're making. Back in the day when people had actual morals a complete stranger could've stopped the thief if you weren't around, and plus back in the day battery powered cut off wheels weren't commonly sold at your local home Depot lol
I'm just curious if modern cars have any metal in the steering wheel, or if it's just a matter of cutting through plastic and vinyl? I bet there's no metal to make them safer in the event of an accident, but a thief could zip through that quickly. I like the brake pedal lock better.
The club is useless In mexico car thieves don't cut the club of course is made out a very strong metal. they only need 20 seconds to remove it. they just cut the steering wheel.
I don use club to protect my car from the thief. I use it to smash any fuckers who fuck with my driving, since the club is heavy enough. 1 direct hit on the head, is enough to go crazy.
I had a neighbor that used to steal cars. He said he would just bend that club right off the steering wheel and leave the club in the space where he stole the car from as a big FU to the owner. He said when he was done with the car he always wrecked it as many times as he could so the owner would be without a car .
How bout just lock your car and don't have the keys in the ignition lol. Stupidest thing ever. Whos that worried about losing a car anyway? You have insurance for a reason
wait till it happen to you lol i imagine you drive a piece of rusted bolts and dont care if you get it stolen.had my car stolen. dooirs locked.keys in my pocket and all so yeah getting one
Even if you have insurance that will fully replace a stolen car, you still have to pay the deductible, wait for them to pay out, and probably go back and forth arguing with them about it being covered, all while not having transportation, not to mention whatever items you had in the car are also gone.
Not for older cars. Most insurance companies won’t do anything about an older car. Like a 2006 or older. Unless it’s ever happened to you you wouldn’t understand. Anything to deter people is worth it.
Finally someone that shows how this actually works (and not just how to lock it on the steering wheel)
Thank you so very much!!
This is the video i've been wanting to see, on how these steering wheel locks actually work. Thank you.

I knew early on it was just to make the driving as inconvenient as possible.
I was today years old when I learned this, I had the same assumption as you
Turn your wheels to one direction all the way before you put it on there won't be any issues.
Genius thank you
Good call
That is what is instructed/recommended. One full rotation to the left or right.
It’s not genius. It #2 of 2 pieces of direction that The Club comes with.
Love it! I have a Kia and I just got it back after 7 months! I made sure to have a club the day I drove it out of the lot! It definitely helps to see this work!
Same!
I just got my Hyundai back after 3 months. It took 2 months to get an appt at the dealership and they had my car for 4 weeks. Ridiculous. I have a club on my car at all times now.
This! I just got mine back and when I put the club on it, I was really wondering what good it would do!
you also have to install the club correctly. You need to put in through the top half with the lock facing the clusters, this way theives can't drill the lock and picking it would be harder. They have have to saw through it which would take a considerable amount of more time.
What do you mean facing the clusters?
It's installed "upside down". The long part goes in the corner of the window!
Really? I guess that would keep them from being able to turn at all huh? unless they tryed to drive with an open door haha.
Even then he still can't turn

I just bought the lock today. Now it totally makes sense.
It is installed incorrectly on the car in the video
Thank you so much🙏🏻

Thanks for showing how it actually works!
Lol “if there is a deer on the road, you can’t swerve away from it “ oh Canada 🇨🇦 how I love thee lol
You have it on backwards, the long end should be near the window. It catches the window frame top and bottom.
Would really give a one legged car thief an advantage
These are great for stopping teens looking to take your car for a joyride but if you live in an area with organized crime looking to pick your car apart for parts they will just cut threw the steering wheel and pull the club off.
..but more likely to leave it and look for an easier car..
Just move house then... lol
Why not cut the club?

With steering locks the handle end should be positioned between the windscreen and pillar, it won't turn at all. You're welcome.
Yeah but what's a windscreen and pillar.
@@justwannasay5454 The windshield and the corner of the window 🙄

These are kids you're talking about...not frigging Advanced Mob Crime Syndicates after John Wick 😂
My Super Sawzall would work even faster with a carbide blade.
Were you on a closed track?? Glad you showed the exterior shots
Install it...like normal people would. No one would ever put the club on the way to have it. And you know that.

DougCameraman
Yes they still have metal rims...
Exactly. Steering wheels can be cut very easily.
It can be cut, but the point is to deter the would be car thief. Pick a car that can be easily stolen, not the one with the club.
Who is here because they have a Kia?
Great product ,I like it
Put it on wrong lol. But once you have it on correctly also turn your wheel and set the parking break
Bahaha. I forgot the key at home and clubbed my car at a friends house. Yep she had to drive me 20 min home and 20 min back. Cant drive like that 😅
thieves cut the steering wheel now
Interesting
Is this Alaska?? It looks so identical
The club is useless In mexico car thieves don't cut the club of course is made out a very strong metal. they only need 20 seconds to remove it. they just cut the steering wheel.
It doesn't matter anywhere mate, all cars are exposed, here the clubs are used more fore the inconvenience of having to remove it
I don use club to protect my car from the thief. I use it to smash any fuckers who fuck with my driving, since the club is heavy enough. 1 direct hit on the head, is enough to go crazy.
Just pull the car up to a trailer and it's gone
Depends how the car is parked
And most thieves probably don't have trailers.
Turn steering before fitting. The thef will go round in circles. 😂
Lol watching this after buying one after thief failed to steal
its on wrong!
anyone have a concern re the cancer warning on the package?
I was gonna try to do this but afraid😂
Man just low-key recorded a video of himself stealing a car 🤦♂️
Theives will probably drive from the back seat and have someone push the pedals in front LOL!!
You’re it supposed to swerve for deer. You can lose control and cause a bigger accident or hurt someone
tempviduse for deer you should swerve.
For rabbits and squirrels, no.
Deer can kill you if u hit them.
God job
Can’t they just pick that dinky ass lock on the club? Like that looks like the easiest part about stealing a car
In general a car can be driven.
There's a solution to every problem. In this case the thief needs a hacksaw plus an engineering degree to steal a 30 g worth Honda.
Lol an angle grinder and no degree will solve this
I disagree, a good expert in methanomics would figure it out
Or someone will just put their foot on the seat to make them turn the steering wheel 🙄
Jerome will find away to beat the system 😂😂😂
Funciona bem, vou compra uma.
