Not liking cats is like not liking Krenko, Mob Boss. I sure hope those mats are a hit for you!
The energy between yall two keeps getting better! Keeps me coming back
Ohran Frostfang being $1 is INSANE. I only build $15-25 decks and now I can finally use it!
Miso is the highlight of this video. Loving his cameo
Illustrious wanderglyph goes insane in a good brenard deck.
"Terror of the Peak" is lovely in a "Taii" deck, allowing you to draw a ton!
Maze of Ith is pretty awesome when you have Yavimaya or Urborg in play. 😊
The day when you have to apologize for your cat randomly jumping into your videos is the day that we'd pronounce the internet for officially dead.
Had a starting hand that was illustrious wandergliff, Ojer taq and smothering tithe the other day
Ruthless Technomancer is always my #1 pick. It's almost like Selvala in black with haste and several bonus synergy options. Insanely slept on card
Arcane denial is so good in nekusar
It’s also just good
I run crackle with power in my Jhoira Weatherlight captain deck, alongside ignite memories as a finisher. I build up a few artifact cost reductions, play like 20 mana rocks and draw half my deck then either blow everyone up with a storm count 10-15 Ignite memories or pass turn then next round I crackle everyone for 40
That Spelltable game was SO good! Definitely an awesome feature!
Can confirm Koma and Crackle with Power are tons of fun to cast. In Lucea Kane, 9 mana plus Lucea copies it and does 30 to 3 targets, which has always ended the game by the time I could do it.
A friend plays Koma as one of several 7 drop targets in a Tasigur Pod deck and it can be rough, I’ve added exile removal to decks that didn’t have it just to make sure I have a potential answer to Koma somewhere.
Appreciate the heads up about the Wanderglyph and Rise of the Dark Realms, those are both cards I’d been wanting!
That's funny. I've been really thinking about arcane denial in general a lot lately.
Was wondering if you are planning to do a commander gameplay series? Or if you have one, and it's member exclusive?
I'm wondering about the reasoning behind your explanation of Nature's Lore replacing Arcane Signet because of AS susceptibility to random boardwipes, but 2 cmc Thaumatic Compass that has to linger on the board for maybe 5 turns until it turns into a land is preferred over Maze of Ith that's always a land and mostly safer by your previous logic? Compass is still a great card, imo, i was just wondering. Personally I'd run both. And Kor Haven to boot!
I love using misdirection effects to get around hexproof creatures.
Nexus of fate in Unesh is one of my wincons love it
Cats are fine compared to stitched edges. Who decided that was the way to go?
Unfortunately populate only works on creature tokens, not any tokens. I was interested in populating non creature tokens in my Morska deck.
Wish there were timestamps on these videos so it was easy to go back to specific cards :(
Koma on a deck that makes copies is very tough to deal with. Especially as the commander
My favorite series!!
I know this might be basic but could somebody give me examples of the math on this card so I play it correctly (Crackle with Power)? Am I paying x for damage, then additional = to the number of targets I am going after?
Hmmm… arcane denial. I’d be curious to have the NN review Trinketmages recent video explaining why he feels AD is horrible.
Honest question. Why are counterspells bad in commander, but single target removal is the untouchable holy grail and everyone should run more? If I cast a Grizzly Bears and you counter it, we're each down a card and the other two opponents are card neutral. If I cast a Grizzly Bears and you Doom Blade it, we're both down a card and the other two opponents are card neutral. Everyone says removal is king, but it seems to me that most single target removal is just as much of card disadvantage as countermagic. What is it that I'm not seeing?
single remover to me is as strong as counter spells, counter spells can be as countered by counter spells. but removal spells may get countered too
They're equal power, it's just that single target removal is avaliable in more colors than blue (I'm aware there are great counterspells in other colors, it's just concentrated in blue.)
Counter spells are timing sensitive and you have to leave mana untapped. Removal you can cast on your turn consistently. Counter spells are essential against some decks but a lot of commander decks are midrange creatures where boardwipes and mad removal are much more impactful.
With commander being more casual, people hate "No you can't play that card" in response to them trying to put it on the board. This as opposed to "I've now decided you've had enough playtime with that card."
In one case, you're being denied out the gate. In the other, you give them the opportunity to play and have fun with it before deciding to remove it. Better yet, the threat "don't swing that at me if you want to keep it."
You have to decide whether a spell is worth countering without knowing what is coming in the future, so you have less information when deciding what threats to stop. With a removal spell, you get to wait until many threats have been played, and then choose the scariest one.
Can you guys give an update on joe cherries Or have him on as a guest at least once. I love mia But it feels like she is the The really cool new step mom thats here After our original channel's parents split up 😂 It would just be nice to see all three of you From time to time
Can you buy Miso Ramen on card kingdom?
Compass is in almost all of my decks, the maze of ith effect is too good for free, and even if you play this after having 7 lands, it can be your extra land drop for only 2 mana which is good, or you can drop it, fetch a land and it flips on your end step anyway. Being able to stop the "big bad" creature is great. You got that darksteel into play? Great, it's gonna sit there, it makes a great blocker, lol
3:45 I bought Foil version am going to sell later
Your already know one is Terror of the peaks
Yeah I bought all the copies I needed. I think it’ll settle at 25-30$
But populate is only for creature tokens and not for enchantment tokens
Thunder Junction version of Crackle with Power is like 50 cents.
The Holy Grail of NN video series
Also it's fun to cast Rite of Replication kicked on Terror of the Peaks
You can really tell people didn’t care for the OTJ Contagion Engine’s art, because the reprint did next to nothing to the price of the two older versions.
Great that it was reprinted. 14-16$ for Contagion Engine is absurd.
I dont get the ondu kenriths thing he talked about?
When you cast an Aura it targets the permanent you choose, but when you cause an Aura to enter the battlefield without casting it you simply choose a permanent and it doesn’t targey
What? You don't want the cat's tail swatting you in the face? 😛
Koma dropped in our pod by my merfolk buddy and you would think our other guy got locked out of the game. He visibly got irritated and started talking smack 😂 I’m like bro chill and cast path to exile lol
People are sleeping on Ruin Diver for their Quick Draw decks.
Miso said I am the host now.
Up the beanstalk is banned in Modern and niche in legacy, so commander is really it's only home so there's a lot of singles out there people bought for modern decks that are basically worthless to them now
I LOVE MISO SO MUCH AJDHCJKFEHJKH
I love these videos, but they also make me sad when they tell me my cards have plummeted in value. Thanks wizards for reprints into oblivion.
Yeah, ever since Wizards started reprinting everything, I've lost like $1k in value. But it's good for everyone in the long run.
JAIL MISO!!!!!
12:30
Card kingdom uses USPS for their shipping so know it’s not reliable
nah usps is solid and reliable. you must be thinking about ups
Your counterspell logic is flawed, if you choose not to play counterspells for being down a card, then why play swords to plowshares, abrade, or any card-for-card removal at all?? In edh, if im playing blue, its because i want to have fun with its identity, and thats counterspell. And i run all kinds!
Miso keeps blinking back in bc y'all keep casting noncreature spells (pls save a playmat for meeeeeeeeeeeee)
I'm 2 minutes in and still not at the intro yet :(
I like that they frontload the ads so you can skip them pretty easily (except the moxfield one).
@@chrisramsey5017 yeah, this is a good take. I think I was just feeling a bit unreasonable the day I wrote this comment.
20$ for one card cant be a good deal no matter what it is
Miro is a poor man's Amber
