- This video teaches you how to harvest cactus seeds the most practical way. Sample plant is an Astrophytum myriostigma but the same method is used as well for other cacti seed pods. Trivia on asterias pollination is also tackled.

How long can you store the dried seeds? Is there a max timeline to plant them before it completely dries out?
It depends on what kind of cactus seeds. Typical Gymnocalycium seeds can last for at least a year. While astrophytums are best sown after several months only same goes with frailea. Overall, the quality of how you store the seeds plays a vital role in the seeds lifespan. You must keep it in a dry place. Putting it inside a glass container or jar would do the trick and put some desiccants to prevent moisture

What to do po if yung seed pod ng gymno ko accidentally nasagi ko at nahulog sya. Red na po sya pero di pa magcrack. I dont know how many weeks na syang seedpod kasi nabili ko un meron na seedpod. Pls help 😊

hello samuel. Thanks for your feedback. We've just uploaded a video regarding pollination. As of the moment we won't sell seeds as we are to propagate them and we are currently doing experiments as well. But we'll get there soon :)
